Pros: the ball jumps off this bat

Cons: wish they mad it in a 29/19, my daughter is only 9 and would be better off with a little smaller bat, but the ball jumps off this bat better than the cf7 drop 11

Best bat period! Dave S. parent

Pros: I shopped around because my 9 year old daughter was transitioning from baseball to softball. Not many girls have the Mako, but since she had the baseball bat i went with the softball version. This bat is better then the baseball version! The ball flies off this bat! I love the sound off the bat as well. Huge sweet spot and trust me, a good bat makes a difference! I am sold on the Mako and barring another model i like more, will continue buying this model as she gets older!

Pros: good pop. still dont think it is as hot as te purple and white stealth was. used as team bat. lasted 1 year and cracked. looks great.

Cons: we had a 33 inch and 32 inch drop 10. the biggest complaint about the bat is that it only lasted 1 season, and it says sting free technology but our girls constantly got their hands stung. the xeno doesnt sting and has just as good or better pop.

Pros: evenly balanced feels nice in the hands

Cons: sweet spot is not massive sweet spot is half as sweet as my LS Xeno I'm a collegiate player and I recently switched to this bat because my Xeno has cracked after 2 years. Comparing to the Xeno, this bat felt like it had no pop whatsoever and only felt sweet when you hit dead center on the bat. Definitely recommend other models! There's a reason why the price dropped near $200!

Merritt
What is the difference between the 2014 MAKO -10 and the 2015 MAKO -10? Are they both balanced? SUMMER
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) and the 2014 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP14MK) will be very similar in overall design, performance, and balance. The major differences will be cosmetic in nature.
Patrick
Do they have a 32 inch size for the 2015 MAKO -10. I didn't see it and I have the 2014 MAKO -10. summer
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) will be available in a 32 inch size but we do not currently have them available for pre-sale because we are still waiting to get definite numbers on how many we will have in stock before we will offer that size.
Patrick
I am a college softball player. I am 5 foot 4 and weigh about 150 pounds. I am looking to get a lot of pop. What would you recommend? E
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is a great design that is extremely high performing. The extended barrel and TCT Thermo Composite material on the MAKO make it a great option for players looking for better performance.
Patrick
Is the MAKO FP15MK10 an end loaded or evenly balanced bat? Low
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) features a balanced swing weight.
Tessa
Any break in required for this bat? Madalyn
A brief break-in period of about 100 swings or so while rotating the barrel would be beneficial for the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Patrick
Which bat would you recommend for a 5 foot 6 13 year old who hits for contact but is looking for a little more pop, the Mako or Demarini CF7? Tommy B
Both the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) are both great options. They are both top of the line, balanced, two-piece composite designs with great performance potential. Preference between the two would mainly come down to brand preference.
Patrick
My daughter is 5'4", 150 pounds, clocked bats speed 71 MPH, and is playing in college next year. What bat do you recommend? Pete
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) would be a great choice for her. It features a balanced swing weight as well as an extended barrel, so it is the best of both worlds for power and contact hitting. It features a two-piece design, which can create a little more flex on contact. This can create more of a whipping action, which can help the head of the bat whip forward at the moment of contact, generating more inertia and power.
Tessa
what is the difference between this Mako and the 2012 fastpitch purple Stealth? J
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) uses an improved and upgraded composite material called the TCT Thermocomposite material. The Easton Stealth Speed Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP11ST10) used the IMX composite in the handle and the CNT composite in the handle. The improved composite allowed for an increased barrel size in the MAKO as well and it also has a better connection point between the handle and barrel for reducing sting and vibration to the hands of the player.
Patrick
Is the Mako 2015 better than the XENO 2015? j
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) and the 2015 Louisville Slugger XENO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXN150) are very similar by design and are both top of the line model. Which one you feel is better would come down to brand preference and style preference.
Patrick
How do you compare this bat with the 2015 DeMarini CF7 DXCFP? steve
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) compare extremely closely. They are both premium two-piece designs with balanced swing weights and high end composite material.
Patrick
Does the Mako or the DeMarini CF7 have a larger barrel? ken
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) has an extended barrel while the CF7 does not.
Frankie
I am 5'5, weigh 115 lbs and am 14 years old. What size bat do you recommend? jj
Using our bat coach feature on our website, we recommend the 32" 22 oz. 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Liz
I currently have the CF7 (2015) end loaded bat -10 and do not like the feel of it hitting. Is there a difference between the Easton Mako -10 and the CF7? Scot
The 2015 DeMarini CF7 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) are both two piece composite bats. Something you might like about the CF7 is the D-Fusion handle that eliminates vibration and shock throughout the barrel.
Allison
I am 5'4 and 150 pounds. What size Easton Mako do you recommend? Marlo
Using our bat coach feature on our website we recommend someone you size use a 32" 22 oz. 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Liz
I'm 14 years old, 5'1" and 135 lbs. What size bat would you recommend? Jazzy
For a player of your size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) in a 32" 22 oz. model.
Joe
What size do you recommend for a 14 year old that is 5'3" and weighs 96 lbs? dawn
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 32" model in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Jason
I'm 5'10" and weigh 160 lbs. What size bat should I use heading into college softball? Softballgirl97
We would recommend a 34" in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) for a player with your height and weight.
John
Does the 2015 MAKO FP15MK10 come in a drop 11? Jazzy
No. The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is a -10 and the other MAKO fastpitch bat is the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK9) which is a -9.
Patrick
What is the difference & advantage of a drop -10 vs. a drop -11? My daughter is 5 foot 1 inch and 135 pounds. She prefers to use a 33/22 as opposed to the 32/22. She says the 33 inch bat gives her more plate coverage. She has been using a DeMarini CF6 32/21 for a year & half and feels the bat is too light. Should she move up to a 22 or 23 ounce bat? Jazzy
Since your daughter uses a drop -11 currently and feels like it is too light, it sounds like she needs to move to a drop -10. We would recommend a 33 inch 23 ounce bat. That option is currently available in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Chinyere
Is the Easton Mako end Loaded? hholly77
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) will have a balanced swing weight. The MAKO Fastpitch -9 (FP15MK9) will have an end loaded swing weight.
John
Is this bat legal for high school and travel fastpitch softball? rach
Yes. The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) has all the approval ratings and stamping required for those levels of play.
Patrick
Is there a difference between the Mako FP15MK10 and the FS1 Zero? bsup
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) features a two piece full composite design offering the TCT Thermo Composite with an enlarged sweet spot. The 2015 Easton FS1 ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S110) features a two piece full composite design with an IMX Composite barrel and the SIC Black Carbon handle. Both bats have a balanced swing weight and would be ideal for a power or contact hitter.
Joe
My daughter is 5'2" and 105 lbs. Would the 32/22 be the proper bat? Big E
Correct. For her size we would recommend a 32" in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Allison
My 9 year old plays 10U baseball and softball. I'm trying to get her one bat that can do both? big joe
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) will be approved for play only in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA and ISF. It will not be approved for play in baseball. For a player of her age, our bat coach would recommend a 30" model, although the drop 10 is likely a little too heavy for her.
Joe
My player is 8 years old, 4 foot and 50 pounds. What size does she need? BamaKevin
Based on your daughters height and weight we are suggesting a 27 inch fastpitch bat. Unfortunately, the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) does not come in a 27 inch. I recommend looking at the 2015 Mizuno Finch -11.5 Fastpitch Softball Bat (MZFFP).
Frankie
What size would be good for my daughter ? she is 13 years old, 5'6" and 180 lbs. big rich
For a player of her age and size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) in a 34" 24 oz. model.
Joe
My daughter is 14 years old, 5'9" tall and weighs 145 pounds. What size bat should she use? tony
I would recommend using the 34" 24 oz. in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Tom
I am considering purchasing this model for my daughter. She is 5'5" tall and 140 lbs. She is a power hitter with a exit speed of 48 to 54 mph. What are your recommendations? Budman
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is a great option because it is light and balanced which will give her a quick swing speed, and it has an extended barrel, which gives it a larger sweet spot.
Allison
My daughter is 5'2" and 160 lbs. She is more of a contact hitter rather than a power hitter. Would you recommend this bat for her and what size? Is it balanced or end loaded? ...
For a player of your daughter's size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) in a 33" 23 oz. model. The MAKO does feature a two piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight. However, it does have a large sweet spot and quick barrel taper that gives it maximum performance.
Joe
My daughter is 5'7" and weighs 150 lbs. She went from being a line drive hitter at age 12 to ground balls. What bat do you recommend to get her hitting back up? ceeztec@gmIl.com
A 33" 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) would be a very good option for your daughter. It is going to be a balanced bat that is what your daughter needs to get her bat speeds up and keep good control over her swing.
Jake
My daughter is 13 years old, 5" tall and 115 lbs. What size do you recommend? MAX
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Tessa
When does the Easton 2016 line of fastpitch bats come out? Also, what's the difference from this bat and say the drop 10 power brigade bat? Joro
The TCT Thermocomposite material in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is what sets it apart from some of the other power brigade models. It allows for a larger sweet spot while maintaining a good balance. We have not yet gotten word on when the new line of softball bats should be available.
Patrick
My daughter is 15 years old, 5'9" and 150 lbs. What size bat do you suggest? mom
For a player of her size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) in a 33" 23 oz. model.
Joe
What bat is going to be comparable to the Easton Stealth and feature an end loaded swing weight? Arod99
The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is going to be a balanced bat. I would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK9) this model is going to have an end loaded swing weight.
Frankie
My daughter is 9 years old, 4 foot 10 inches and 97 pounds. What size bat do you recommend? AC
I recommend getting the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) in a 31 inch based on your daughters height and weight.
Frankie
My daughter is 11 years old, is 5'2", and weighs 81 lbs. What size bat can she use for more pop? mike baseball
I would suggest a 31" 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) for your daughter.
Jake
I'm looking for a good bat for my daughter she is almost 14 her height is 5'6" and weights 138lbs. What do you suggest? gloria
For her height and weight we would recommend a 33" 23 oz. The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) would be a very nice option. It is a two-piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight. The Louisville Slugger XENO and the DeMarini CF8 are also nice options available in the -10 drop. They also will be two-piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight.
John
Hi! My daughter is 15 years old her height is 5'8", and her weight is 121 pounds. What size and weight for her bat is recommendable? Panjie
For a player of her age and size, our bat coach would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) in a 33" 23 oz. model.
Joe
My daughter is 5' 3" tall and about 125 pounds. What size bat would I get her? Laura
Based on her height and weight, we would suggest a 32" model in the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Chinyere
I'm 158 centimeters high and 52 kilograms. What size/weigt would you recommend? Kim
Based on your height and weight, we would recommend a 32" model for the 2015 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10).
Chinyere
My daughter is 5'1" 110 lbs. and the coach wants her to learn how to slap hit. This was a recommended bat. What size would you suggest? softballdad
I would suggest a 32" bat. The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is an excellent bat, but I might also suggest the 2016 DeMarini CF8 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFA) which is designed for slap hitters.
Jake
My daughter has the 2015 Mako and recently noticed a rattle in the bat. What does this mean? JB
If you hear a rattle inside that sounds like there is a little bead in there then that is most likely going to be a little piece of dried glue that helped hold the end cap on. The rattle you hear is that piece of glue that has broken off. However, it will not affect the performance of the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP15MK10 at all.
Cooper
While using the MAKO for batting practice is there anything a girl can do protect the bat from certain damage of the cage balls? coach reed
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. The only recommendation would be to try and find a cage that uses plain softballs. Aside from that we do not recommend using your 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) at the cages.
Jake
What is the difference between the Mako bat and the FS1 bat? How much longer of a barrel (sweet spot) does the Mako have? My daughter is currently swinging a 2014 FS3 31 inch -12 (hitting over .600 in All Stars). She is ready for a new bat. She is 5 foot 2 and weighs 105 pounds. I am wanting to get her into a 32 inch bat. I am not sure if she can get a -10 around quick enough. I want to get a Mako but do not want to sacrifice her bat speed. I would like to get her into a little heavier bat. Or should I stick with a new FS3? I am hoping she can get 2 years out of the bat. coronaallstar
Based on height and weight, I would say that a 32 inch size would be a good choice. The 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) does have a longer barrel making it have a larger sweet spot than the 2015 Easton FS1 ZERO -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15S111) but is a heavier weight. The preference would come down to whether you are more worried about bat speed or barrel size. The balance of the MAKO does give it a light swing weight compared to some -10 bats though. If you are wanting to get more time out of it as she grows and you do not have an issue with a slight adjustment phase, the MAKO may be the way to go as a -10 would be much more common the older she gets.
Patrick
My daughter is turning 11 in a few months and is big for her age. She was swinging a 31 inch -10 composite bat this past season. I am considering the MAKO in a 33 inch -8 but am not sure if that is too big of jump for her. She is 5 foot 3 and weighs 140 pounds with decent bat speed and a powerful swing. What do you think? Steve
The 2015 Easton MAKO -8 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK8) which is the -8 version of the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) would, in general, be too heavy for a player of her age. The -10 length to weight ratio is by far the most commonly used drop weight for fastpitch while a -8 is usually reserved for an older, high school or collegiate level power hitting player.

How does this bat compare to the MAKO (FP14MK)? I'm 16, 5'5", 140 lbs., and a power hitter. heather
The 2014 Easton MAKO Fastpitch (FP14MK) and the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch (FP15MK10) are mostly cosmetic. The bats are made from the same TCT Thermo Composite material. The MAKO has been a solid bat for power hitters such as yourself.

It's getting into the cold part of the ball season here in the Midwest. What temperature should I make her stop using it so it doesn't damage the bat? dave
For the 2015 Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP15MK10, or any bat for that matter, we do not recommend excessive usage in any temperature below 55 degrees. The ball itself becomes more dense, which can lead to damaging the bat.

my daughter is 15 and 5'9" 120lbs what size bat should she be using 1gecko69
Based on your daughter's height and weight, we recommend that she use a 33" bat. The weight is dependent on her bat speed. If she has fast bat speed, then she could be using a heavier bat. If she has a slower bat speed, then she would benefit from a lighter bat.

Hi, my daughter is new to the game ( first Year) she is 5'4" and 125. I want to make sure she has the right equipment and was looking at the Mako. What is your recommendation? Hyped Dad
The Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP15MK10) is a great option for her! It is a two-piece full composite design that has an extended barrel but still very well balanced. For her height and weight we would recommend a 32".
John
I am trying to decide between Easton FP15MK10 (MAKO) 30" 20 oz. and the Easton FP15S111 30" 19 oz. I like the -11 for her, but the MAKO appears to be more highly recommended in terms of quality and output. I would appreciate your thoughts greatly. Troy
Both the Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP15MK10 and the FP15S111 are excellent bats. If you are wanting more bat speed, then the FP15S111 is going to be the better option. If you are confident in your players bat speed, then swinging the FP15MK10 would be the route to go. It is always best to swing a heavier bat if possible. The more mass you can put behind the ball the further it should travel.

I have been looking at a lot of bats recently and I was wondering what I should buy? My two options are the 2015 Xeno and this MAKO. I think they might be pretty good bats because my teammates both use them. I was wondering in your opinion which should I buy? Jess
Both the Easton MAKO Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP15MK10 and the Louisville Slugger Xeno are great options. It really depends on what you prefer to determine which one is better for you. The MAKO has a longer barrel and bigger sweet spot. It also features a little more flex when it is swung because of its traditional two-piece design. The Xeno typically feels a little more balanced than the MAKO and it features a stiffer feel similar to a one-piece bat.
