Easton Convert XL: LT460XL Youth |
Average Customer Review
Great pop, durable bat. 3 other kids on my son's 10U team use his bat (29") instead their own. Never heard a complaint about stinging. PING - bat even sounds good when hit. Can't go wrong with this one at 1/2 the price of other composites.
scuffs up easily, but who cares.

How does the Easton Convert compare to the Nike CX2. Both seem to be getting good reviews and is the newer Nike bat worth the extra $100. I was also wondering if one bat provided more pop or power over the other one --thank you
The Easton Convert and the Nike CX2 are very different bats. The Convert is a two piece hybrid design, meaning it has a composite handle with an alloy barrel. The Nike CX2 is a two piece full composite bat. Composite bats go through a more labor intensive process when being made, which accounts for the higher price. These bats will also perform the more you use them over time and will give you more pop due to the trampoline effect the material makes.
My son is small and is using the omen 28/16 and I believe he is not getting enough bat speed. Can the convert help with this? He is a contact hitter, no power at all
In my opinion, the Convert has similar balance and feel to the Omen. I don't think that by getting him the same size bat in the Convert would be that beneficial. I would recommend one of Easton's new Speed Series bats like the S1, S2 or S3. All of these bats are designed with lower swing weights to help players looking to improve bat speed.

The trend continues today with bats such as the Tri-Shell and the ConneXion. The patented Tri-Shell design features a super elastic rubb....read more
