Description

The DeMarini M2M is True American Muscle. Made in the USA, the M2M is all-alloy with no forgiveness. It's built for power, durability, and players that love to feel the ball all the way through the bat. This two-piece full-metal design is as stiff of a bat as they come; producing as much power as a metal bat possibly can. We're not talking about just any metal though. We're talking about DeMarini's new X10 Alloy. X10 features a proprietary blend of alloy agents and is finely tuned to give the M2M the thinnest, lightest, and strongest barrel walls possible. With a big, aggressive Long Barrel, the M2M is graced with one of the largest hitting surfaces (and sweetspots!) in the game today! The sweetspot is even further enhanced with Half and Half Technology that allows the barrel to produce a burst of ball-launching energy with great pop every time contact is made. Capped with an N2M End Cap that is scientifically tuned to absorb vibration, the M2M is one bat that will not disappoint. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The DeMarini M2M: DXM2C is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Bat has excellent pop. Awesome sweet spot. Upgraded from the 2012 Vexxum to 2013 M2M -3 BBCOR to get ready for H.S. I have used a Demarini for 6yrs. Will keep using as long as I can.

Pros: I previously owned a Marucci Cat 5 squared and that bat was great for me for about a year and a half. The Cat 5 had amazing pop and an awesome sound. Going to this bat I was a little unsure, but the price was great. I must say the ball comes off the bat faster than the Cat 5! This bat has great pop right out of the wrapper, and also doesn't have the "dead" sound that most BBCOR bats have. All around great bat!

Cons: The knob is a little small.

Pros: 14U competitive. It has a great pop, and a nice grip. I have not used it in a game yet, but BP has been nothing but beast mode with solid crushing hits. This is my third DeMarini bat since 6th grade. You can't beat the quality and balance of their bats.

Cons: Not really a CON, but it's known as the patriotic bat on the team.

Pros: Tentatively giving this bat a 4-out-of-five; have only had it for a week. Son has used it in two games so far. Action off bat seems decent.

Cons: Thought this would be just as balanced as last year's model, which we already have. *Slightly* less balanced / more end-loaded than last year's. This may be a preferable for some, but my son plays 14U and is just moving up to BBCOR. My daughter also plays baseball and needs a more balanced (as opposed to end-loaded) bat due to less upper-body strength. But this 2013 model will probably become more and more appropriate for my son as he grows and gets stronger. This is probably a very good bat if your seeking to bridge gap between fast/balanced bat and completely end-loaded one for power.

Pros: Got this bat last week the day before our first playoff games, used it and hit a homerun my 3rd at bat. It has a great solid feel to it. Perfectly balanced and has just as good pop as the rip-it I was using and its not even broken in yet.

Cons: I prefer just a tad bit more end weight. Sounds like its dead when hit at the bottom half of barrell but doesnt effect the power behind it

Pros: First of all: Beautiful bat. Shines, colors are defined, and the design is awesome. I'm a home runs and doubles guy and this bat has yet to disappoint me in the first week of using it. I've hit the ball further than I ever have before and the weight of the bat is perfect for anyone with a power swing. Not only can this bat hit deep sky balls, it can hit laser beams as well. It sounds incredible too. MUST BUY for the price.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Bought this for my U13 player to use for tee work and in the cage to help build strength. He is 5'5" and 120lbs. We switched to a drop 5 for his U13 season this year with plans to switch to a BBCOR for U14 to prepare for High School. He can handle the drop 3 without any trouble. Have never swung a BBCOR before and was very impressed with the way the ball explodes of the bat. I have swung it as well and must say it has a nicely balanced feel. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini M2M BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXM2C? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What DeMarini bat would you recommend for a small contact hitter? Alohaboi
I would recommend the 2012 DeMarini Voodoo. It features a two-piece aluminum barrel and composite handle design. This benefits contact hitters because the bat will flex, helping the hitter get the bat through the strike zone quicker.
Nick
Is there any difference between the 2013 and 2012 M2M except the paint job? The 2012 is just $100 so I'm curious. Nick
The new 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR uses new X10 alloy. The X10 alloy is designed with a proprietary blend of alloy agents, making it stronger than the the 2012 M2M.
Kara
Is this bat top heavy? Idk
The 2012 DeMarini M2M BBCOR DXM2C is going to be very balanced in feel.
Sean
Is this bat good for contact hitters or should I look for something more flexible? Sam
The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR is very stiff. We would recommend the DeMarini Vexxum which would provide more flex.
Kara
Would this bat be a good choice for a power hitter? if not, what DeMarini bat would be good for one? lookatdatjohn
The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR is very stiff, perfect for a power hitter.
Kara
Will this bat be as balanced as the Easton S3? Bill
The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR will be more end loaded than the Easton S3.
Kara
Would this be the best demarini for a power hitter, or are there better out there? Bronson
The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR is very stiff and slightly end loaded. Perfect for a power hitter.
Kara
What DeMarini bat has the most flex? swag
Thank you for your question. The DeMarini Voodoo is going to have the most flex.
Nick
Would the weight be more like the Exogrid 2 or Easton XL1? Baseball431
The DeMarini M2M would be balanced like the Exogrid 2. It is an alloy bat like the Easton XL1, but he Easton XL1 is slightly endloaded.
Brandon
Would you recommend this to a contact or power hitter? aj
The 2013 DeMarini M2M: DXM2C is a a two-piece bat which is most preferred by contact hitters due to more flex. Power hitters prefer a one-piece bat due to no flex and a more stiff feel. The stiffer feel gives the player a little more power while a two-piece gives the player a more whip like swing. This bat can be used by either type of hitter and choosing between the different designs is based more on what you feel comfortable using.
Kris
What is the difference between the 2012 and 2013 Voodoo and which one would you prefer. Also which is the better bat preferably, the 2012 CF5, 2012 Voodoo, or 2013 Voodoo? MT
The main difference is the 2013 Voodoo uses the new TR3 F.L.O. composite in the handle and S10 alloy in the barrel. Here is a link to further compare the three different models. http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Tom
Am I going to get more out of the 2013 M2M than the 2012 version? pianowhiz
The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR uses newer technology. The X10 alloy is more durable and higher performing.
Kara
Does the 2012 M2M have more benefit to a contact hitter? Or should I get the 2013? SandersonSpartan24
The 2012 DeMarini M2M BBCOR and the 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR are the same design as far as weight distribution and material. They will feel the same in your hands.
Zach
Is this bat going to be in Senior League? Ed
To our knowledge, DeMarini will not be making a Senior League version of the M2M.
Kara
On the 2012 NCAA Home Run Derby I saw a player using a black and yellow Demarini M2M. Is this a 2013 model that has not yet been released to the general public or a non BBCOR model? Or just an older BBCOR model? sandersonspartan32
He may have been using the 2010 M2M (non-BBCOR). The 2010 M2M had a black barrel with yellow lettering.
Tyler
is x10 alloy better than sc4 alloy. cause the old m2m was made out of sc4 alloy. and i was wondering witch was better. jjc da boss
The X10 alloy Demarini uses in their 2013 bats is similar to the SC4 Alloy, only it's lighter in weight and just as strong. It will help to provide a lighter swing weight, while maintaining the same great pop and durability.
Tyler

For a 14 year old first time BBCOR user, mostly contact hitter. Would this or the DeMarini Vexxum or Versus be a better bat? ccblaze16
The most popular choice of the three is the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult. It is a very balanced bat. The Vexxum is end loaded, better for a contact hitter with some power. It is a two-piece design that will have a composite handle and an alloy barrel. It will require no period of break-in. The two-piece design will help eliminate the vibrations that may reach his hands and help to stop the sting. The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat would also work. It will be a two-piece all aluminum bat. It will have a long barrel with an increased sweet spot. This will require no period of break-in. The M2M will have a balanced swing weight.

It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. Thus, the Vexxum would be recommended over the M2M.

The 2013 DeMarini M2M BBCOR: DXM2C Adult bat is just an older model. DeMarini just released their lineup for 2014. That is the reason why.

My son is 12 yrs old 5' and 110 lbs. Would this be a good bat and what would be a good length and weight? Anthony
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) is slightly end loaded and is typically not recommended for a younger player. We recommend a 30" bat for his height and weight. Here is a link to the 30", alloy bats available: http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~bbcor/length~30%20inch/material~aluminum/
Kara
Can this bat be used in colder temperatures? I'm assuming since it is aluminum it can. Mike
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) can be used in colder temperatures.
Kara
I'm playing 13U baseball this year, I myself am more of a contact/base hit kind of guy. I am 5"3 and 85 pounds, am I to small for this bat? Gavin
We suggest that the DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) bat will be too heavy for you. We would recommend looking at -8 drop or -5 drop bats.
Kyle
I'm playing 14u baseball this year. I'm 5'9" and weigh 155 lbs. Would this bat work for me? chris
Using our Bat Coach, I determined the best size for you would be a 32" in the DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C). This bat would be a great option for you if you are required to use BBCOR Bats in your league.
Kelby
I am 5'6", 115 lbs., a contact hitter, and play 14u. Is this a good bat for a contact hitter? baseball kid
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) bat is great for contact and power hitters. The two-piece design will help contact hitters gain swing speed and eliminate vibration. It is also pretty balanced as well. The longer barrel and increased sweet spot helps power hitters.
Zach
I am a high school baseball player. I am 5'11 and 162 pounds is this a good bat for me? BB
Based on the information you gave, I recommend a 32" 29 oz. in the DeMarini M2M (DXM2C). For a contact hitter this would be a good bat for you.
Zach
Which bat would be better? This bat or the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC RichKid3
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) bat is a older model. I would go with the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) because of the newer technology in this bat.
Kyle
I'm mostly a contact hitter with a little bit of power. Would the DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) or the Easton Reflex BBCOR (BB13RX) be better for me? Alex
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) is a two-piece design with a balanced swing weight and is great for a contact hitter. The Easton Reflex is a one-piece design with a balanced swing weight. The one-piece balanced design on the Reflex is great for a contact hitter with some power.
Jason
Would this bat be a good bat for a power hitter? Meppy05
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) will be a balanced bat. I see more contact hitter's preferring this model. That doesn't mean a power will not succeed with this bat. The two-piece fully alloy design will help increase bat speed for either type of hitter.
Brandon
Will this bat last for a long time? G-man
It is difficult to predict the life span of any bat because there are many things that can help maintain the condition of the bat. You should expect 1-2 years of performance out of the DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) depending on how it is used and taken care of.
Jason
Is there a USSSA stamp on the bat? If not how is it legal then? rj
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR (DXM2C) does not have the USSSA thumbprint stamp on the taper of the bat. For USSSA play it either needs a BBCOR stamp on the barrel or the USSSA stamp on the taper of the bat. This M2M features the BBCOR stamp on the barrel.
John
I'm 5'8 and 130 pounds, and I'm going into my freshman year of HS. I'm a mix between a contact and power hitter. I have no preference, so I would like some help to weigh my options between the Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID 3 BBCOR: BB13EX and the DeMarini M2M: DXM2C BBCOR. triple crown winner
I would recommend the Louisville Slugger TPX Exogrid 3 (BB13EX) for you. It is better balanced than the M2M and feautures flex band technology.
Bobby
What are the numbers 2 4 6 8 10 on the top for? sup
DeMarini has a Rotational Index at the end of the barrel to help remind you to rotate the bat about every 10-15 swings to help extend the life span of the bat.
John
What would be the best balanced bat in the DeMarini line? sfgiants
The DeMarini M2M BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXM2C) has a fairly balanced swing weight. However, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVXC) has the most balanced swing weight in the DeMarini line.
Jason
I am 13 and just moving up to BBCOR. What would be the best bat for me to start out with? I am 4 foot 11 and weigh about 120 pounds. ThatOneKid
The best bat for you to use can vary based on your preference of how the bat would feel. Based on your height and weight we would suggest a 30 inch size so that would narrow down your options. One that would be a nice balanced two-piece design available in that size would be the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC).
Patrick
What is the point of a two piece fully aluminum bat? swrhoads
The advantage of having a two-piece bat like the DeMarini M2M BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXM2C will be vibration reduction from an off-centered hit. Whether the bat is fully alloy or not will not impact how much vibration may or may not be reduced.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
