Does the DXFUN fungo bat work well with softballs as well as baseballs?

Hi, what is the difference between the DXFUN and the DXFUNDE? Which one hits the ball the furthest? Thanks.

The DeMarini Fungo Bat: DXFUN model and the DXFUNDE model will both have 35" lengths. The DXFUN will be all Aluminum. Where as the DXFUNDE will have a Wood Barrel with a Composite Handle and Frame for added Durability. The DXFUNDE will have an End Loaded Barrel feel.
