Description

The DeMarini CF6 uses groundbreaking technology to produce a senior league bat that can do some serious destruction on the diamond! Constructing the CF6 using their new Paradox Composite barrel and handle on this two-piece design creates a more compact carbon that enables DeMarini to make the new CF6 lighter and stronger than ever before. This year's CF6 features DeMarini's D-Fusion handle that eliminates all vibration for the smoothest feel of any bat on the diamond, and also creates an extended sweet spot through the entire barrel by transferring the energy from the handle back into the barrel. This revolutionary design has been praised by players that have tried it, because it allows you to swing harder without the fear of a mishit. The stronger design allows for more even weight distribution, which in turn produces faster bat speeds! Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! The CF6 features ParadoX Composite that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. The CF6 also features a Geo End Cap that's focus is on keeping the barrel stiff and not letting energy escape through the end of the bat. This gives each and every hit an extra blast of energy. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The DeMarini CF6 WTDXCFX features the USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat has amazing pop. If you need a bat tht is well balanced through the zone and puts the ball to the fence almost every time this is the bat! This bat also has a great D-Fusion handle so there is no vibration, all the energy goes to the barrel and launches the ball off the bat! This bat is awesome and I highly recommend it!!!

Cons: None wat so ever.

The More Things Change The More They Stay The Same tow parent

Pros: Demarini has done it again..... We bought the CF5 31/21 two years ago and I was wowed with it comming out the gates, this thing had POP POP POPs.... Its so good Demarini should pay me for a spokes person becaus I tell everyone that it stands alone in a class all by it self. This past Christmas we bought both boys 9 and 12 year old CF6's. My GOD they are hot, if you dont have one you will be left behind, PERIOD!

Cons: are you kidding me...... I guess if I had to make a complaint it would be that they can not use them in 55 degrees and below.

Pros: This bat has a ton of pop and my son says it feels great. He's not a big kid and went from a 29/19 Easton S1 to the CF6 in a 31/21 with no lag in bat speed. The balance is great!

Cons: I can't comment on the durability that others mentioned as we have only had the bat a month. I will say it takes a little longer to break in that some reviews suggested.

I am looking into buying a CF6 for my 11 year old son who is playing on a travel league. He is 4'6" and about 70 lbs. What size would you recommend? I was looking at the 30" 20 oz. bball mom
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 29" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League. However, if you think he can handle the extra weight a 30" model works as well.
Jason
I'm 13, 5' 3'' and about 105 pounds. What size should i get? mila baseball
Based on your height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) in a 31''. For more information on sizing please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.

Kara
I am 11 years old, 5' and 85 lbs. What size bat do I need? Caidster

Jason
My son is a contact hitter that plays on a 11u major team. I typically try to help him with this decision each year but with all the technology, we are stumped. Which bat would be the best and why in your opinion, the CF6 and MAKO? Confused bat dad
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFC) has a D-Fusion handle and uses Paradox composite which helps extend the sweet sport throughout the entire barrel. The 2014 Easton MAKO (SL14MKB) has an extended barrel that creates a bigger sweet spot. The MAKO and the CF6 have similar size sweet spots and will be comparable in performance.
Tessa L.
Hi, differences between CF5 and CF6? gonza54635
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFX Senior League will have an updated Paradox composite material and a new D-Fusion handle. These will not be found on the CF5.
Brandon
Other than the obvious, what is the difference in size of the barrel? I have a 9 year old that swings a 27/17 and I think I'm going to move him up to a 29/19. He currently has a 2 3/4" barrel. Why would someone swing a smaller barrel? Isn't the bigger the barrel the easier to hit? khow
The bigger 2 3/4'' barrel does give you more hitting room. However, not all leagues allow the use of these bigger barrels. Also, smaller barrels are sometimes better suited for smaller kids because they will be lighter weight.
Tori
I am 9 years old, 4'8", and 100 lbs. What size bat should I have? khow
Based on your height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) in a 30''. For more information on sizing please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Tori
I am 5'1" 98 pounds. What size would you recommend? NYbaseball99
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League.
Jason
My son is a contact hitter but his swing is slow. He is using last year's XL1 30/20 and it is end loaded. Is the CF6 or Vexxum bat better suited for contact hitters? gar bear
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFX Senior League and also the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum would both be great for a contact type of hitter. They will feel very balanced and easy to swing. They also will not feel barrel heavy like the Easton XL-Series does.
Brandon
My Son is 13 years old and is 5' 11-1/2", 150 lbs. He is a good contact hitter with very good power. Trying to decide between the top 3 DeMarini big barrel bats: Vexxum, Overlord, or CF6? griffinoil
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League is ideal for a contact hitter with its balanced swing weight. However, if the player hits for power and already has good bat speed, the Overlord is the best option. The Voodoo Overlord has an end loaded swing weight and is ideal for a player with power.
Jason
I'm 5' and 95 pounds. What size do I need? gman
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 30" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League.
Jason
I am 5'1" 122 lbs. What size bat should I get? big cat
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League.
Jason
I am 4'8" 75 lbs.What size bat should I get mamba
We suggest that you should use a 29" bat in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League.
Aaron
What bat has more pop: the CF6 or the Voodoo OVERLORD? yordano ventura
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League and the Voodoo OVERLORD have similar pop. The OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight and is better for power hitters. The CF6 has a balanced swing weight and is better for contact hitters.
Jason
My son is 9 (will be 10 in July) and is approximately 55 inches tall and about 85-90 lbs, and a pretty strong kid. He will be playing Mustang division in Pony league. So I'm looking at this bat but unsure what length and weight I should get him. What would you suggest? Thank you. Maverick
Based on his height and weight we recommend a 30" 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX).
Kara
Trying to decide between CF6 or the MAKO. What do you think? les
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFX Senior League and the 2014 Easton MAKO: SL14MKB Senior League are both two-piece composite bats. They are both suited for a contact hitter. Both bats are very high performing and durable.
Tessa L.
Can I hit rubber dimple batting cage balls with my DeMarini CF6? Big cat
We would not recommend using the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFX Senior League with rubber dimple balls. Those balls tend to damage the bat more than regular baseballs due to their density. Using these balls may also void the warranty on the bat.
Justin R.
Can I hit batting cage rubber balls with my DeMarini CF6? big cat
While you certainly can hit the yellow batting cage balls with your bat, we would not recommend doing so, especially if you are just breaking in your DeMarini CF6 compostite bat. The dimpled balls used by pitching machines are denser than regular baseballs, and as such cause more wear and tear on bats and have a greater chance of damaging the bat, especially at higher pitching velocities and bat speeds. We would recommend having another bat for batting cages that is the same length and weight as the bat you plan to use in games.
Kyle J
My son is 9 1/2 years old. He is 4 foot 6 and weighs 90 pounds. What size would you recommend? Drop weight -10 or -8? Maverick
Based on the player's height and weight, we would suggest a 30 inch 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League bat. The preference on drop weight would be based on how comfortable the player is swinging a heavier bat. In general, it is best when transitioning to a heavier bat, to stagger that transition so the player is able to adjust and build up swing speed more gradually.
Patrick
What makes this bat $120.00 better than the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum (DXVXR) Senior League? Eric
The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum (DXVXR) Senior League is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and alloy barrel. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League is a two-piece bat that features DeMarini's new Paradox composite, as well as the new D-Fusion technology that expands the sweet spot.
Damon
Can I buy this bat in a 32" and 29 oz.? dan
Yes, you can it would be under this product code (DXCFC Adult). The (DXCFX Senior League) comes in a -8.
Zach
What are the numbers on the end of the barrel for? Pablo
The numbers on the end of the barrel of the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League is the Rotation Index. It helps ensure an even break-in of the bat.
John H
I am 11, 5'0" and about 115 lbs. What size do you think I need? Big Cat
Our bat coach recommends a 30 inch bat based on your height and weight.
Bobby
My son is 14 and plays varsity baseball. Should I buy the youth CF6 DXCFX or the adult? What's the real difference between the two? bubba
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) and the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR (DXCFC) use the same quality paradox composite materials. The DXCFX is not legal in high school. All bats must be BBCOR certified for use in high school.
Kara
So this bat is not approved for use in Babe Ruth, correct? Babe Ruth needs to be BBCOR. JMATT
Correct. This 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League bat is not approved for any division in Babe Ruth baseball. For the division that allows the use of a Youth Big Barrel/Senior League bat, any bat with a composite barrel must be a BBCOR model with -3 length to weight ratio.
Mac
I'm 12 years old, 5'2 and I weigh 90 pounds. What size bat should I get? Sam
Our Bat Coach suggests a 31" bat for a player of your size.
Kelby
Will this bat hit the ball as far and as a good one piece composite bat? The Combat for example. Natester
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) is one of the best bats available today. The Paradox composite is some of the hottest material you can get. The two-piece design helps add a little whipping action to the swing, which can help increase distance.

Why is this bat not legal for Babe Ruth? torch
2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) is not legal for Babe Ruth play due to its 2 5/8" barrel size. However, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFL) is a model that it is Babe Ruth approved.
Bobby
Is there more or less pop than the Mako? The man
Both the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League and the 2014 Easton MAKO (SL14MK9) Senior League will be similar in terms of pop and performance. They both live up to the 1.15 BPF or Bat Performance Factor required for play. So at their peak they will have similar performance levels.
Patrick
What is the break-in recommendation? Can it be rolled? Tony
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) along with other composites, comes with a recommended break-in of 150-200 swings off of a tee or with soft toss. Rolling is an older technique used to break-in composite bats. We do not recommend doing any alternative break-in methods, like rolling or shaving. These methods normally do more harm than good, and will void any warranty that comes with the bat.

Im a good power hitter and my hits always goes into the outfield. I have used the CF5 before and it was perfect. Should i get this bat, the Overlord or the XL1? ---P.S. I hit a lot of doubles/triples/home runs. ncmaN
The DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) has a balanced swing weight which is generally preferred by contact hitters, while the DeMarini Overlord and the Easton XL1 have end loaded swing weights which will be preferred by power hitters such as yourself.
Kyle J.

According to our Bat Coach, it recommends a length of 31" in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) based on your height and weight.

Jason
Just made all stars and can use a big barrel bat. What do you suggest for 9U, 4'8", 75 lbs? Batman
I would definitely suggest the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX Senior League). The -10 size and the large 2 5/8" barrel diameter would be great.
Brandon

Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 30" model in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League.

According to your height and weight I would recommend a 31" length in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX).
Zach
Is this bat a full composite? marsh44
Yes. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League is a full two-piece composite bat.
Damon
What is the difference in the CF6 (DXCFX) and CF6 (DXCFR)? Coach John
This 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League bat offers the -10 length to weight ratio while the (DXCFR) offers the -8 length to weight ratio. The (DXCFX) is two ounces lighter in the same length as the (DXCFR).
Mac
Does this model have a composite barrel? joey
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) does have a composite barrel.
Bobby
Is this bat top heavy, or is it very balanced like the EXOGRID 3? clay
The 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFX Senior League bat would offer a very balanced swing weight like the EXOGRID 3 models. DeMarini does produce a bat with an end loaded swing weight, but that would be the Voodoo.
Mac
What is the barrel size? payson
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter.
Jason
Can this bat be used in the batting cages? Sam
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFX) can be used in batting cages.
Merritt
Between the 2014 DeMarini CF6 and the 2014 DeMarini Overlord, which one is better in your opinion? Wheels
Both the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) and the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDR) are great options. The major difference for the preference between the two would be the weighting of the bat and the barrel material. The OVERLORD is end-loaded and features an alloy barrel. The CF6 is balanced and has a composite barrel. Power hitter types would tend to prefer the OVERLORD while the CF6 can be used by any type of hitter.
Patrick
I don't really hit for power. I hit more line drives into gaps and singles. Is this a good bat for my type of play? Grant
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) is a great model for a contact style hitter. It is very balanced and lightweight and has a bit of flex which can help increase bat speed.
Patrick
Just bought a CF6, 31" 21 oz. How do we break it in? Tony
The Paradox Composite material in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League makes this bat pretty good out of the wrapper. I would still recommend at least a brief break-in period. Check out our recommended method in this link: http://goo.gl/JV4MVb.
Mac
I play in 11u AAU travel baseball. I am a good power hitter and hit good line drives. Would this be a good bat for me? ryan
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League is a great bat for any type of hitter. However, the CF6 has a balanced swing weight and is typically preferred by contact hitters. The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight and is usually better option for power hitters.
Jason
Does the handle taper (get wider) towards the knob or is is a constant diameter? zman
The handle on the DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) Senior League tapers very little as you get closer to the knob.
Damon
I weigh 95 pounds and I am 59.5 inches tall. I am going into seventh grade. What size bat would you recommend for me that would last at least 2 more seasons? sam
Based on your height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch size of the 2014 DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX). That length would be on the upper range of what we would suggest so you may be able to grow into it.
Patrick
I'm looking at the CF6 and the Overlord. I'm more of a line drive hitter. I'm 4'9" and 86 lbs. Which bat do you feel would suit my needs best? Bams
Typically, players who hit mostly line drives would benefit the most from using a balanced bat like the 2014 DeMarini CF6: DXCFX Senior League. The CF6 is easier to swing and should allow you to reach higher swing speeds than the Voodoo Overlord.
Mac
I am a line drive hitter. Which bat do you think I should get? The OVERLORD or the CF6? ryan
As a line drive hitter, I would probably suggest going with the 2014 DeMarini CF6: (DXCFX). The two-piece, balanced, composite model, will provide a little bit of added flex. This model's features will fit your playing style well, and will make it easy to generate a faster bat swing.
Merritt
Is this bat approved for Dixie Youth Baseball Majors/Ozone league play? Bravo
No, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) will not be legal for play in Dixie Youth Baseball Majors division. The Majors (12 & under) division still requires a 2 1/4" barrel, whereas the DXCFX features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The Majors (ages 15-19) require a that composite barreled bat, such as the CF6, feature the BBCOR certification. This particular model is not BBCOR certified.
Tessa
Does this bat come in a 2 1/4" barrel? kinetic
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Youth Baseball Bat: (DXCFL) is the youth model, and will feature a 2 1/4" barrel diameter.
Merritt
If I'm 5'5" and 115 lbs., what length bat should I get? Should I get this bat or a different one? damen
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX). The CF6 is a great option for a contact hitter looking for a high performance model that features a balanced swing weight. It also has the D-Fusion handle, which will help to dampen vibration and sting on your hands as well as extends the sweet spot through the barrel.
Tessa
Outside of the barrel composition, what is the difference between the CF6 and the Vexxum? I am torn about which way to go. buj
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) will have a composite barrel. It will require some break-in. It will also feel slightly less balanced compared to the DeMarini Vexxum Senior League bat. The Vexxum will have a more balanced swing feel and feature an alloy barrel. The Vexxum will not require any period of break-in.
Brandon
How do I break in this bat? Eg
We recommend 150-200 swings of soft toss or tee work while rotating the barrel after each swing to break in the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX).
Bobby
Will this model go on sale once the CF7 is released? And how does this model compare with the CF5? I am a contact hitter. Matt
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League (DXCFX) has already been reduced in price. There is a possibility that it could reduce once the new CF7 is released. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 uses the new Paradox composite for a bigger sweet spot and also features the new D-Fusion Handle to help reduce vibration. The 2013 CF5 uses the older TR3 F.L.O. composite which is still high performance but won't have as large of a sweet spot compared to the CF6.
John
Does this bat have a return policy? coolio
As long as the bat has not been used then you can send it back to us for a full refund or exchange but once the bat has been used it does have to go directly back to the manufacturer. As for the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX), that bat does come with a one year warranty through DeMarini.
Cooper
What are going to be the differences between the 2015 DeMarini CF7 and the 2015 Easton MAKO, performance wise? Thanks. Jim
The performance of the 2015 CF7 compared to the 2015 Easton MAKO will be very similar. The MAKO will provide a longer barrel length. The CF7 will provide a D-Fusion handle to eliminate more hand sting and vibration compared to the MAKO. Both will have the balanced feel, same pop, and performance compared to the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX).
Brandon
Is this bat BBCOR? keith
No, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League (DXCFX) is not BBCOR certified. BBCOR bats must have a -3 length-to-weight ratio.
John
I am 13, 5'2 and 97 lbs. What should I get: the CF6 or the 2014 Voodoo OVERLORD? Fullthrottle
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 31" bat. It really depends on what type of hitter you are to determine which bat is best for you. The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) has a balanced swing weight and is typically better for contact hitters. The Voodoo OVERLORD has an end loaded swing weight and is usually best for a power hitter.
Jason
Is the CF6 a double wall bat? Is it approved by MABA 11u teams? Bill
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) will feature a composite barrel. Many layers of composite make up the barrel. It will be multi-wall/layer in design. It will be approved for leagues that accept composite bats and is approved for USSSA play.
Brandon
What will the DeMarini CF7 Senior League bat be made of? Will it be a lighter swinging bat, or end loaded? How much will it cost? CF7
The DeMarini CF7 is made out of Paradox composite just like the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX). The CF7 also features a balanced swing weight and it costs $349.99.
Jason
My son is 11.5 years old. He is about 58 inches tall. He is playing travel ball and is more of a contact hitter but he does pack a lot of power. He is still new to baseball but getting better each game and practice. What bat would you recommend for him? Jay
The balanced weight of the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) coupled with the high performance composite material it is made out of makes it a great option for a player like your son.
Patrick
I am 13, 5'5" and I weigh a 100 lbs. Would the 30 20 oz (-10) 2 5/8 be to heavy for me? BA
Based on your height and weight, the 30" 20 oz model of the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) would be the correct size for you.
Jason
Is it legal to use in Little League sanctioned Senior League? Scott
Based on our resources, no. In the divisions that allow the use of a big barrel bat, Little League only allows the use of a bat with a composite barrel if it is BBCOR certified. This 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) is not BBCOR certified. And for the Senior League division specifically, you should not be allowed to use any non-BBCOR certified bat. As there can be variations to bat rules, we would recommend checking with a coach or league director prior to purchasing a bat.
Mac
Would you use this bat in Anchorage, Alaska? I'm 13 years old and I am 5 foot 5 would a 32 inch be good? aorAK27
Most bats, including the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX), can experience durability issues in weather below 55 degrees. At that point, the ball can condense and become harder. Based on your height, a 32 inch design would most likely be a good length.
Patrick
What is the difference between the 2015 model? ag
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) and the 2015 CF7 are very comparable bats. The main difference is that the 2015 CF7 features a new D-Fusion FT handle. The new D-Fusion FT handle maximizes the energy transfer and eliminates vibrations.
Jason
Is this bat legal in most middle schools? Johnny baseball
Yes, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) will have the most up to date USSSA stamp on the bat. It will be legal in most leagues. I would just check with your coach or league official if your league allows composite bats.
Brandon
My son is 4'9'" and 95 pounds. What size would you recommend? Robert
In the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) our bat coach recommends a 30" 20 oz. bat.
Joe
Is the barrel completely composite? If so, does this bat need to be broken in? Do you recommend bat rolling? C
The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) has a two-piece fully composite design. The DXCFX uses Paradox composite which helps extend the sweet spot throughout the entire barrel. DXCFX along with other composites, comes with a recommended break-in of 150-200 swings off of a tee or with soft toss. Rolling is an older technique used to break-in composite bats. We do not recommend doing any alternative break-in methods, like rolling or shaving. These methods normally do more harm than good, and will void any warranty that comes with the bat.
Liz
My grandson is 10 1/2 years old and currently has a DeMarini composite 2 1/4 inch barrel -11 30 inch bat. He is moving to a travel ball team and they use big barrels. He weighs 95 lbs and is 5 ft tall. What size would you recommend for us to buy? Grandpa
Using our bat coach feature on our website, I would recommend the 30" 20 oz. 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX).
Liz
Is this a BBCOR bat? cam
No, the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) below is the link to the 2014 DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) bat. http://www.justbats.com/product/2014-demarini-cf6-bbcor-baseball-bat--dxcfc/19357/

I have twin boys that are 13. One is 5'1" 80lbs and the other is 5'3" 90lbs. Both are good contact hitters but no homer runs. What size CF6 should each use? Dunc
Both could potentially use a 31" 2014 DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX). Your son who is 5'1" could also play with a 30" if you think that extra ounce will lower his swing speed too much.
Jake
I am 5 foot 2 and 93 pounds. What size bat do you recommend? wingman
Based on height and weight, we would suggest a 31 inch size of the DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX).
Patrick
How does the swing weight and feel compare to the 2014 Vexxum with the two-piece composite/alloy design? I am looking for the best swing for a 4'9" 75 lb 12 yr old. He is a contact hitter. Redwolf
Both the DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) and the 2014 Vexxum are extremely balanced bats. The swing weight of the two bats will be pretty comparable, but the CF6 will feel slightly more balanced to some. The design on the Vexxum does provide the bat with more flex in the handle, which can create more of a whipping action compared to the CF6.
Jason
I got my son a DeMarini 2 1/4" bat after T-ball season last year. I just found out our AA Dixie Youth league can use 2 5/8" this year. Is this a huge difference in bats? Dan
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) does feature a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The 2 5/8" generally have a wider range of drops available than the 2 1/4" youth bats. Additionally, the 2 5/8" barrel does have a larger hitting surface.
Joe
My son has the CF5 Limited Edition, 2 1/4", 30" 20 oz. for rec ball. He is 10 years old, 4'11" 120 lbs. He is going to play 11u travel also. Wondering if I should stay with same length and weight with a big barrel? teddy ballgame
Based on his height and weight, our Bat Coach recommends a 30" DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX). Sizing is definitely preferential, so if he would feel comfortable jumping up to a 31", that is something to take into consideration. Since he used a 30" last year, there is a chance that moving up to a 31" will not affect his swing too much. Ultimately, it will be a matter of preference and what he feels most comfortable swinging.
Tessa
Is there a big difference between the CF6 (DXCFX) and the Louisville Slugger (SL13AXL)? Bob
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) and the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack XL Senior League Baseball Bat (SL13AXL) are both very similar two piece fully composite balanced bats. The only big difference in these two specific bats is the Attack features a 2 3/4" barrel diameter and the CF6 features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter.
Tom
Will the 32" model be restocked? baseball_10
Unfortunately, the DeMarini CF6 (DXCFX) has been discontinued and we will not be getting anymore of the 32" models back in stock.
John H
Is it BBCOR? jt
No, the DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) will not be BBCOR certified. It will be USSSA certified. This bat is typically used by 8-12 year old players. The BBCOR version will be the DeMarini CF6 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) which we only have 34" 31 oz. sizes left in stock.
Brandon
I am 4 foot 11 and about 75 pounds. I used the CF5 Limited Edition 2 1/4 inch barrel last year and I was wondering if the CF6 big barrel 31 inch 21 ounce would be a good bat for me on my 12u AAU team? Brian
If you are able to use the bigger barrel design, the DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) in that size would be a nice option for you.
Patrick
Can you use this in high school? idontkonw
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) is a youth big barrel model that will not be approved for usage in high school. All high school and collegiate baseball bats must meet the BBCOR certification.
Joe
Which bat is overall the better bat? This CF6 or the Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDR)? I have a question
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) is a two piece fully composite bat with a balanced swing weight. The DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD (DXVDR) is a two piece hybrid bat with an end loaded swing weight. Both bats will perform very well. Your decision will depend on your preference in swing weight and barrel material.
Tom
My son used the bat last night, and I know it was colder than you recommend using the bat, but the ball wasn't going very far at all compared to where it he usually hits. Do you think the cold would do that ? Bobby
When the DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) is used in cold weather, along with pretty much any other bat, the ball becomes more dense, which can make the bat more susceptible to cracks or dents and decrease the performance of the bat.
Chinyere
Is the CF6 2 5/8 legal to use in the intermediate 50/70 little league division? Bart
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) is not going to be legal for the Little League Intermediate 50/70 division because this is going to be a two piece composite bat. For composite bats to be legal in this division the bat would have to be BBCOR certified.
Frankie
What is the difference between the CF6 and CF7? Also, is this bat approved for 12 AAU? Allstar_36
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) and the 2015 DeMarini CF7 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) are slightly different in the end-cap which affects the balance very slightly making the CF7 slightly lighter in terms of swing weight but most of the differences are just cosmetic. AAU has independent rules rather that a uniform set so it would be best to check with a coach or league official prior to ordering.
Patrick
Does the CF6 2 5/8 inch barrel have a BPF of 1.15? Does it meet the Little League specs in rule 1.10? Fitz
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCFX) does not meet Little League specifications. While it does have the 1.15 BPF USSSA stamp, it is a composite barreled bat with a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter. Little League rules dictate that a big barrel bat with composite material must be BBCOR certified and this bat is not.
Patrick
How does this bat (CF6) compare/perform to the CF7 and/or the CF8? Is the color the only difference between the CF6 and CF7? How about the CF6 to the CF8? Ajm
The DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCFX will have the same composite as the CF7 but will feature a different end cap. As for the CF6 and CF7 compared to the CF8, the CF8 featured a completely new composite barrel with the Paradox Plus+ being used. As for performance of these bats, all three bats received good ratings from customers so any difference between the 3 would seem to be minimal.
Cameron
Would you purchase this bat used today in 2017 knowing it has been used more than buying a Combat 2017 Maxum for the same price? Hen
Although the DeMarini CF6 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCFX will be a solid bat I would recommend going with the new Combat Maxum

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
