D-BAT introduces another riveting and innovative wood bat design to the game baseball. This maple hybrid bat is the lightest big barrel youth wood bat to hit the market, and is designed to replicate the feeling of a metal bat. This bat was designed by D-BAT`s bat maker for players who are serious about hitting the ball a long way out of the park. This is made easy with the SLH's X-Large barrel that measures just over 2 1/2 inches in diameter! With a hitting surface like that, your impression of what wood can do will never be the same! With a -9 to -11 Length to Weight Ratio, this bat will increase bat speed and give players a much smoother swing. The SLH has a traditional knob and a 0.93 inch handle for outstanding control and balance. D-Bat selects only the highest quality billets to make into their bats. They reject wood billets that many other manufacturers use as their mainstay materials for their premium product. Using the highest quality hardwood maple and ash, coupled with precision hand-turned and finished bats, allows D-Bat to produce a bat absolutely second to none. Pros: My 9 year old really liked the feel of this hybrid. Good pop!

Cons: Unfortunately, the handle cracked at the 2nd practice used. Don't know if it's just ours, he didn't appear to hit it wrong when it cracked.

What is the actual weight of the 28" BB

The D-Bat SLH has an approximate -8 length to weight ratio. This means the 28 inch model will weigh approximately 20 ounces. Since wood is a different consistency than metal bats, the weight may vary by an ounce or so.

If your league allows big barrel wood bats. Yes, this bat is legal. But I would double check with your league as some leagues habve their own individual rules also.
