Is this bat used for those big 16" slow pitch softballs?
The D-BAT Birch Wood Softball Bat: SBSP is a wood slow pitch bat that can be used with any regulation softball or even a 16" clincher or "mush" ball.
When it says "weight ratio between -6 to -8 depending on the length of the bat" Which weight drop goes with which length?
Actually, every length SBSP bat has an approximate -6 to -8 length to weight ratio. This will not vary by size.
what is the differance between wood used in bats?
Just like there are different types of trees, there are different types of wood used in bat. The most common and most popular are maple and ash. Maple is a little harder and will be heavier than ash. Ash is a little softer. Maple may be a little more durable. Ash makes the ball feel a little softer at impact. Birch is between Ash and Maple in my opinion. It is pretty hard (not quite as hard as maple though) and is lighter in weight than maple.
D-BAT built its state-of-the-art factory in 2001 and began selling its products in January of 2002. Originally, wood bats made of ash and maple were the only product made. Growth was rapid during the next five years. Our bats are recognized as the finest quality in the industry. We are MLB approved and have many professional players currently swinging our wood. We have expanded our product line over the years to include baseballs, gloves, batting tees, and batting gloves. We continue to offer quality products and competitive prices to our customers while priding ourselves in our superio.... read more

My son Tanner has just received his 2012 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha SL126 30" 20oz bat just in the nix of time to use it in his last practice for All Stars. Let me tell you it made a man out of this 11 year old.He nailed the fence his last time at bat in batting practice before his all stars game started. The fence was 225.He nailed it 5' from the ground. 1 more foot in would of been over. For a child 1st year in Bronco league it was a big image mode for him.He went 16-16 with that bat with 4 triples and almost a in the park home run. His team mates were calling him Omaha when they chanted for him. Also for all his teammates it help 3 out of 12 players to come out of a hitting slump.I can only thank everyone involved from receiving the order to the ones who help ship the order in such a short time. Thanks very much!!!!
