I'm looking for a bat for my younger son (just turned 7). I bought my older son (just turned 8) the Combat B3SL 28/16 from you guys about a year ago (HE LOVES IT). My younger son needs a new bat and has trouble getting the B3SL 28/16 around in time to make good contact. I was looking at the B2 Reloaded youth bat, but not sure to get a 27/15 or a 28/16 so he can grow into it. I think the big barrel of the B3SL is what's slowing him down. Any feedback would help. This is probably the most difficult question for us to answer as we are unable to see and analyze the players swing and can't obtain firsthand feedback on how different size bats feel. I would recommend finding some small barrel youth bats locally in different sizes and have him take some dry swings. This should give you a better idea of what size/weight will be best. Just based on the information provided, I would recommend the 15 oz. model to ensure optimal swing speed.

The Easton S1 will have a slightly lighter swing weight than the 2013 COMBAT B2 Reloaded: B2YB2. The COMBAT B2 will be a little stiffer whereas the Easton S1 will offer more flex. Because of these two differences, the COMBAT B2 is often preferred by hitters with above average swing speed where the Easton S1 is often preferred by hitters with average swing speed.

My son is 12 going on 13. He is currently using a 31" 19 oz. Louisville Slugger Catalyst. I want to get the COMbat Reloaded 32" 20 oz. or close to it. Which one should I get the -12 or -10 drop? waiting for him to hit it over the fence.
Not knowing your height and weight I couldn't suggest a size bat for you to use. Even though since you are getting close to High School, your drop needs to be lowered to get ready for the -3 bats. You should go with the -10.

Most of the times with a composite bat if you hear a rattling sound it is just the shavings of the material inside your bat when they made it. This bat does have a one year manufacture warranty if you decided to go that route. The shavings in the bat wont hurt the performance of this bat.
