Pros: Great pop for a metal bat, especially at this price. Son also has the B2 composite (light blue). Went hitting over the weekend and he was was hitting them out with both - albeit a bit farther with the B2. We also have the Marucci Cat 5 and while that is also a great bat it doesn't have near the pop of the B1 alloy.
Cons: None really. You can get a bit of vibration here and there but we didn't experience any and hit 100 balls.
Pros: Bought the B3 for XMAS for my son. After it was banned by LL 1 week after Christmas I sent it back still in the wrapper and got the B1 Alloy. He hits just as far as any composite bat he has ever used. If you are looking for a high performance alloy bat - this is it!
Pros: Son has been using the B1 composite in various sizes over the past 3 years until they were banned from our league. This alloy bat has the same feel, balance, and still has a ton of pop! Very impressed! Don't let the price fool you. This Combat alloy is still the bomb! Good job Combat! Much more pop than the NanoTek at a fraction of the price! Highly recommend it and so glad we tried it out.
Cons: Still haven't discovered any as of yet. It's hard to find any faults in such a well priced bat that performs like this one. It really is a good bat and I still can't believe we paid just over a hundred bucks for this bad boy! This is a score! Thanks again Combat and thanks to Just Bats as well!
Pros: Picked this up as a cheap cold weather alternative to my 10 year old's S1 composite. He likes the feel better and is tearing the cover off the ball with this and now he doesn't want to use his S1 at all. Awesome bat with tons of pop for 40 bucks.
Cons: I look like a fool for spending all that money on an S1
Pros: I bought this bat for my six year old in the size of 27/17 and it's working out perfectly. He is playing with the older kids in fall ball and faces kid pitch. This bat is perfect quality for his age/ size without getting crazy with the price. The sweet spot is huge, and the rest of the bat is extra thin. The bat has a great durable feel mixed with the moodern technology of a new bat. The bat has great sound along with impressive pop. I'm glad combat decided to make smaller sizes available for the little guys that take baseball just as serious and want to hit the ball hard.
Cons: none. just don't hit the ball on the lower portion of the bat, as it is thin.
Pros: My 12 year old son has used this bat only a couple of times so far and both of us are impressed with the way the ball jumps off of the bat. This is the least amount I have ever spent on a bat and it's performed as good or better than any bat he's owned.
Cons: At this point, there are no cons. As far as durability, only time will tell.
Pros: Nice balanced bat, the ball jumps off it. I bought it for my son as a backup to his B2 Reloaded for colder weather. True to weight, decent paint, nice grip.
Cons: The end cap popped off after just a couple swings. You could see where the factory glue was not applied evenly. Used some marine epoxy and it is holding fine now. I added this as a con, but for me it was not that big of a deal.
Cons: I have only had this bat for a couple of weeks and it has already broken. My son is only 7 years old and he made the comment that "this bat is no good, and it doesn't hit like my old bat". Something on the inside is loose and it's rattling. When we turn the bat upside down, you can hear whatever is loose inside moving up and down, back and forth. I have not had time to return it yet, however I plan on doing so sometime this week. I guess you get what you pay for.
I read all the other reviews about this bat before I decided to purchase it and most were positive reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I am now wondering if those reviews were staged or if they were actual customer reviews? Nevertheless I do not recommend this bat at all.
Pros: Good looking bat with decent pop and sound. Vibration is ok.
Cons: The B1 Alloy we ordered was 32/20. When it arrived, it seemed heavy. Measured it in meter and actual was 32/21. Called Combat and said it was within variance. Had B3 Gear, which was spot on at 32/20. Evidently less QC than there bread and butter composites.
Cons: 3rd swing, hit ball off of handle and the bat broke at top of handle.I looked like a major leaguer holding a broken wood bat. I had a B2 2 yrs ago and a B3 for fall ball and had high hopes for new alloybut i think i made amistake.

My son is in tee ball but i think he has out grown the tee ball bats. He currently uses an Easton 26"16 oz. with great bat speed, would this bat be a good choice for him?
Asked by cheese
If he is playing tee ball it is recommended that he use a tee ball bat. A tee ball bat is specifically made to only hit off of a tee, not live pitching. Once he is playing in a coach pitch or kid pitch league it he should move into a non tee ball bat.
