I'm a high school senior and i purchased this bat for use during the season. I love it. I have 8 hits with it in 3 games(1 homerun). The bat has quite some pop if you hit it on the sweet spot. Now don;t get me wrong, there is much less pop in all bbcore bats including mine but that's expected, u just have to get use to it. It feels a lot heavier than my old bat from last season(both 33in) but this bat was purposely made top heavy. That extra weight on the barrel gives you a more powerful bang(i like the feeling), but if ur scrawny or weak than it might be tough to get the bat around quick. I'm fairly small( 5' 11" , 165lb) but i'm pretty strong so to me the bat feels light.
heavier than some other bats but can be a benefit once you get use to it

We had bat reps come out to our practice and let us hit with several top bats. I hit the ball farther and harder with this bat than any of the others. I have used it in five games and I am definitely hitting ball harder. Good bat!
Have not used the bat long enough to find any cons yet.
Had to get a new bat for high school. I am a smaller player and the balance on this bat is perfect. I feel better with my balance than I did with my Stealth composite bat that I used in Pony. The grip looks cool, but it felt slippery after using it in my first batting practice. I put a black tape grip on it and now everyone on my team wants to get this bat. Love it!
the original grip but that isn't why I bought the bat.

I am 15 and 5'5". I am a contact hitter. I need a bat that is well-balanced. Would the 2013 Easton S3 be better for me, or the 2013 Easton S1?
The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult bat and the Easton S1 BBCOR Adult bat will have the same swing feel. They both will be very balanced. The S3 will be a one-piece all alloy model, while the S1 will be a two-piece fully composite bat. If you like a stiffer bat feel go with the S3.
How would Easton's Power Brigade Speed and XL Series compare to Rawling's line of bats? I'm trying to find the best one-piece bat I can get my hands on.
The Easton S3 BBCOR: BB11S3 Adult is a one-piece alloy that is very balanced. The 2013 Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR: BBCA2 Adult and 2013 Rawlings VELO BBCOR: BBVELO Adult are very comparable performance-wise, with the VELO being the most balanced of the three. The Easton XL3 from the Power Brigade Series is end loaded, unlike the S3 and Rawlings bats.
I am 14 and 5'8" also I weigh 140 lbs. Which bat would you recommend from the S Series for contact hitters?
The Easton S1 will be the best fit for a contact hitter since it is a two-piece composite bat.
