Pros:
Confirmed,--same Rival Pop without the dents, great balance and amazing distance and son loves the BLACK & YELLOW graphics!
Cons:
None yet, we probabaly hit over 100 balls and no dents, last years Rival had 3 dents just from hitting 20-30 ball off the tee!!!

Pros:
Bought this for my 10 yr old son 1 month ago. He has been using it at practice 3 times/week. He has never been a "power hitter" more up the middle type of hitter. My son, his coach and I have noticed the ball traveling a lot further when he hits. At practice the other day (cool, damp day) he actually hit the fence consistently. His hits up the middle also seem to have more power/speed. 2 months ago he was using a Worth and not hitting as hard, so I don't think its a "kid is older" issue. No dents. Good grip. I never was one to believe that a bat could "improve" a hitter but in my sons case it has.
Cons:
My concern is with the end cap. Another coache's kid was using the same type of bat and after two practices the end cap popped off. His dad mentioned that he saw another end cap pop off from another bat. I don't know if it was a bad batch (These two coaches odered at the same time from another supplier)or is there an issue with the glue. Keeping my fingers crossed it was just a bad batch.

Pros:
Outstanding bat, we've got the 30/21 for an 11 year old. Was worried that it may be to heavy for him. Man was I wrong, he hit three home runs in two games last night. Followed by one all the way to the center field fence. Funny thing is when he came to the dug out he looked at me and said, Coach I didnt even try to hit hard.
Cons:
During the games I had him lay down a bunt. Not real impressed with it due to the amount of pop the bat has. My son soft bunted down third base side and ball went almost all the way to third.

Pros:
son hit a 250 foot bomb over the fence with this bat, great graphics, feels solid, great pop
Cons:
it feels a little heavy at first (endloaded) I would practice w it a few days or so before using in a game situation--- it definetely has a different weight distribution than the other popular models

My son is 11, 5' 5", weighs and 140 lbs. He is trying to decide between the Easton S1, S3, or the Rawlings VELO. He borrowed the VELO and hit the ball very hard with it. He currently uses the TPX 30" 20 oz. What would you recommend?

The Easton S1, S2, and Rawlings VELO are all very balanced bats. The S1 is Eastons top of the line bat and will perform just as high as the Rawlings VELO. The S1 is a two-piece bat and the VELO is a one-piece design, so it will come down to personal preference.

Can the S3 be used in a cage with dimple balls?

The Easton S3: SL11S310B Senior League bat is not recommended to use against the dimpled balls as they can cause damage. Try and stick with regular baseballs.

How does the 2013 Voodoo differ from the 2012 Voodoo? Are they both end weighted?

The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo: DXVDR Senior League will be designed like the 2012 model. They will be two-piece, composite handle, alloy barrel designs. They will both have barrel heavy, end loaded swing weights. The 2013 will just have newer bat materials.

I was listening to the sounds of the 2013 and 2014 Voodoo bats. They seem to sound very different, even though the barrels are made out of the same material. Is this correct?

The 2013 DeMarini Voodoo: DXVDR Senior League bat and 2014 DeMarini Voodoo: DXVDR Senior League bats are made with the same X10 alloy on their barrels. The walls of the 2014 Voodoo are thinner which will change the sound and performance of the bat.

About Easton
Easton

As the industry leader for over 30 years, Easton Baseball/Softball has continued to raise the bar with innovation, originality and ingenuity. It began in 1969, when Easton produced the first true aluminum bat, and has continued throughout the past three decades with virtually all significant industry "firsts" having been pioneered by Easton: first CU31 bat; first C405 bat; first titanium bat; first Carbon Core bat; first Scandium bat; etc. The trend continues today with bats such as the Tri-Shell and the ConneXion. The patented Tri-Shell design features a super elastic rubber sleeve san.... read more

About DeMarini
DeMarini

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater." In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini.... read more

Description for Easton S3: SL11S310B Senior League
Easton truly believes that every player should have the opportunity to hit for power. However, the road to power hitting is different for every player. Some players need extra bat speed to reach their full power potential, while others need more weight and a bigger barrel. That's why Easton is changing the game this season and taking an approach to bats that no other manufacturer has ever tried before. Introducing the POWER Brigade; Two series, one distinct result. Whether you prefer the fast swinging Speed Series or the heavier extended barrel XL Series, POWER will be your outcome. Forget flashy designs and gimmicky names, these bats produce RESULTS. The Speed Series (S1, S2, S3) features the lowest Moment of Inertia (M.O.I.) on the market to create light swing weights and generate more power. On the other side of the spectrum, the XL Series (XL1, XL2, XL3) features extra long barrels designed to give players expanded hitting zones and more mass in the barrel, generating more power in every swing. Easton really does strive to fulfill the preferences of any type of player as both series come in two-piece IMX Composite designs (S1 and XL1), two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Aluminum hybrid designs (S2 and XL2), and one-piece THT100 Aluminum designs (S3 and XL3). As for the materials, Easton's patented IMX Composite has proven to be one of the highest performing materials in the game year after year, while THT100 Aluminum provides superior dent and crack resistance. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology and you have a new line of bats that is second to none. Easton: We Believe In Power! This bat features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is approved for play in 2012 and beyond. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Description for 2013 DeMarini Voodoo: DXVDR Senior League
New for 2013! The DeMarini Voodoo has become the bat of choice for thousands of players all over the country. This year's Voodoo is perhaps the best yet. With a hybrid design featuring an X10 Alloy barrel joined with a TR3 F.L.O. Composite handle, DeMarini has created a baseball bat that is beyond good. DeMarini's brand new alloy, X10, is designed with a proprietary blend of alloy agents that when put together create a barrel with optimal strength. This unique strength allows for finely tuned barrel walls to create the ultimate sweet spot, no matter what regulations may exist. The TR3 F.L.O. Composite handle further enhances the Voodoo's strength, while creating a lighter swing weight than ever before. DeMarini's Half and Half two-piece technology makes YOU stronger by silencing feedback on off-center hits and creating the largest, most responsive sweetspot by flexing before impact and recoiling with a burst of ball-launching energy! The Voodoo's exclusive Ion V End Cap has two layers. One to keep the barrel stiff, while the other transfers energy from barrel to ball with pure over-the-fence power. Constructed with an ever-so-slight endload, the Voodoo feels like you've harnessed the power of a thousand black suns to sacrifice the soul of the fastball. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The Voodoo features the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp and is approved for play in 2012 and beyond. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
