Pros:
This bat is the next step up from the DeMarini 2012, in my opinion. It's legal for use in Travel Ball, so my son can use it, and he's hitting bombs left and right with it. He's been swinging the Voodoo 2k12, and just got this bat, its great! Reduced sting, barely any infact. The sweet spot is supberb and lets you know when you hit it. Get this bat. The 300 bucks is worth it. Any bat with this star quality, is worth it!
Cons:
NONE! Good job DeMarini!

Pros:
We just purchase 3 of these bats all different lengths for our 13 and Under traveling baseball team that has just gotten started. The boys love them. Bats have a a lot of energy and performed well for us in our 1st tournament. No visible issue with dings or dents or paint after initial use and have been using them regularly for 3 weeks now. Appear to be excellent bats for the money.
Cons:
None to date.

Is this bat fully compostie and legal for little league play?

Yes, the DeMarini CF5: DXCFR is full composite. No, it would not be legal in Little League because it is a full composite youth big barrel bat.

Can this bat be used in the new LL 50/70 division?

No, the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFR Senior League bat features a composite barrel and therefore needs to be BBCOR certified. The following is a link to the BBCOR model http://www.justbats.com/product/2012-demarini-cf5-bbcor--dxcfc-adult/13535/

Would this bat be appropriate for 10 year old playing kid-pitch in USSSA? I see it says Senior League?

The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: SL126XL Senior League bat is also considered a Youth Big Barrel bat on our website. It would be the appropriate category of bat for a player that faces live pitching or balls pitched by a machine. Always check with a league representative to ensure that a particular bat is approved for use in your specific league.

My son is 50lbs and 6 years old. Ive determined he needs a 26" 16 oz bat. He has a couple years of coach pitch left, but i was wondering if i should go with this bat or the coach pitch bat? Since they are the same size, which one has more pop? Since hes just starting out idk if durablity is an issue.

In a Coach Pitch league, a Junior Big Barrel bat (aka Coach Pitch bat) will have more pop as they are designed with thinner barrel walls and will have more pop in a Coach Pitch league than a Senior League bat.

Which bat do you think is better? The Louisville Slugger TPX Warrior or the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha?

Both are good, balanced bats. The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha will be more balanced and have a higher quality alloy resulting in better performance.

About DeMarini
DeMarini

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater." In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini.... read more

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime. Here's a short video promo from Louisville Slugger. After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were bo.... read more

Description for DeMarini CF5: DXCFR Senior League
For the past several years, the CF4 has dominated discussions about the hottest bats on the market. This year, DeMarini raises the stakes by introducing a completely revamped successor, aptly named the CF5. The CF5 is built on the principle of geometric perfection. DeMarini has unveiled a new composite material, called TR3 Strut Composite, that imitates the structure of crystals which are one of the strongest and most stable compounds on Earth. The triangle formation inside the barrel provides a fixed ratio of sides and angles so it's strong, stable and predictable - without any unnecessary weight! The molecular structure of the TR3 Strut handle is designed to efficiently transition power from the hands to the barrel to give players balance and consistency with every swing. This two-piece design is engineered durable with a very high strength to weight ratio, and light enough to be worthy of Doublewall duty. A bat like this can't be plugged with any average end cap, so DeMarini engineered the new Geo Endcap to meet its needs. The Geo Endcap is full of load-balancing triangles and is designed to maintain the stiffness of the barrel while dampening vibration to give hitters an amazing feel, shot after shot! The CF5 also features Half and Half Technology that redistributes weight to give the bat optimal balance. This gives players the ability to swing faster with less effort; ultimately resulting in more power! DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The DXCFR features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is legal for use in 2012 and beyond! The CF5 is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
