Pros: My daughter was lucky enough to be 1 of few to have this bat before it came out .She has always been a strong hitter but with this bat she hits farther and the ball comes off the bat with such a sound and pop that the infield better be paying attention.she actually hit it so hard a short stops glove came off her hand and landed behind her.love the bat .my daughter has 2 DeMarini 's she now uses as back up bats.swinging the Ghost is smooth and with little effort the ball is gone.she is batting over .600 going into states

Pros: This bat performs great off a tee, but in the game i am not getting nearly as much distance as my LXT. I guess this will be my cage bat from now on since you can't use it in most tournaments anyway since it's not approved for USSSA play!

Pros: The bat feels good. That's about it.

Cons: We tested the Ghost -10 against Slugger LXT and Xeno and also against DeMarini CFX and the results weren't even close. We tested on a hittrax machine and the ghost was consistently slower on exit velocity. Girls like the sound and the soft feel but they aren't going to be hitting the ball as well if they use the Ghost. Even the Rawlings Quattro had higher exit velocity. Go to any store that test exit speed and you can see it for yourself.

Pros: She likes the pop from the bat.

Cons: She knocked a big piece of plastic off the end cap during an outfield batting practice (soft toss), which has nearly exposed the middle of the bat. She's only 16 and had it for a month. The handle is a little thin for a 33" bat.

Pros: Good looking bat Hot out of the wrapper LOUD! (may or may not like) Every hit feels solid.... No vibration at all or at least my daughter has never experienced any From what I am hearing about the bat it has very little break in time compared to others (200-300 hits). I can not say for sure due to not having the bat very long.

Cons: Even though it is hot out of the wrapper I do not believe the bat is as HOT as her CF9 ( after CF9 had about 2-3K hits on it). It may get hotter but from what I am reading it probably will not. DD has lost around 6 +/- mph on her exist velo. Even though it is a balanced bat it swings heavier than the CF9. This maybe why my daughter lost some exist speed on her hits. (lost bat seed) LOUD! (may or may not like)

2 Cracked Bats in 6 Months Kristi Martin parent

Pros: Easton has an 12 month replacement policy. Which is good. You may need to use it more than once. The bat is hot out of the wrapper. Well balanced

Cons: We purchased our daughter's bat in September 2017 from a chain store. By October the bat had a crack above the rubber ring where the barrel meets the handle. We received our replacement bat in late October. It too has cracked after a few games (fall season ended in November, games just started in February). She did use the replacement bat all winter in doors with live pitching (no pitching machines). My daughter did not use this bat when it was cold. The first tournament of the season she reverted to her LXT because of fear that her Ghost would crack. She used the Ghost bat again last Friday night when it was 51 degrees, and the second bat has now cracked. We have a replacement in the works. She is a catcher. When she has returned bats to girls after a foul ball, etc. she has noticed more than her fair share of cracked ghost bats.

Cons: It only lasted two weeks. It was never used in practice, just games. Six games later it is busted to pieces. Going to see how the warranty department handles it before I make a major deal of it. Every company can have a flawed bat leave from time to time.

Pros: Has a great sound and ball seems to really jump off the bat even though I think the CFX had more distance IMO.

Cons: 32 / 22 weighed in at 23.8 ounces, grip is junk, and worst of all cracked in under a month. 4" vertical crack near the bottom of the barrel. Bat was always swung above 60* as we heard cracking was an issue, and it still cracked. If you buy this bat you better have a back up!

Pros: Many people have rave about this bat, I have no doubt that this bat is amazing with the double barrel technology.

Cons: However, for $350.00, I would expect an USSSA approved thumb print!!!!! So it is very simple, if you plan on using it anywhere besides USSSA, this is THE bat for you. Don't buy it if you play USSSA or high school (check your local rules)!

Pros: Incredible pop, great feel and control with thinner handle. I teste the Ghost against the Demarini CFX9 for exit velocity and bat speed using a standard measurement set-up of: Radar gun 15' behind the hitter at a height equal to the Tee height and 30 feet of distance after the Tee. Use the same balls (Sterling, .47 core). only launch angles of 20-25 degrees were counted. The Ghost had a consistent 3-4 mph increase in exit velocity.

Pros: It looks intimidating thats about it.

Cons: The bat cracked in less than 2 months of use. And lost my reciept so cant replace it. For the price of this the Louisville LXT is far more supreme to this Easton bat in every category. Easton can come up with all the marketing strategies they want. But for powerful hitting and speed they will NEVER compete with Louisville Slugger's Xeno or LXT. We will be sticking with what puts the ball over the fence in the future and that bat is the LXT.

Eastons Customer Service is horrible Ghost Bat parent

Pros: My daugher recieved the bat in November at her last tournament and loved it. The bat sounds and preforms great.

Cons: my daugher used it in 4 games and didnt use it agin until march when high school ball started. In the first game for high school the rubber ring around the bat broke. I called easton to have it replaces as it was still under warrenty. I had to pay 68.70 to send a almost brand new bat that coust 350.00 back to them. The replacement bat took 10 days to get to us and when it did the hologram sticker was not with it. If the bat breaks again she will not be able to return it. I called and spoke with easton and I was told they will only replace the bat once. Considering that I spent alot of money on this product I would expect it to hold up better.

Pros: This bat is hot and ready to go, and this is our 2nd Ghost. The negative durability ratings are interesting. Bats don't live forever, just like hockey sticks, it's an expense of the sport. My daughter gets about 2k+ hits on her bats before they are retired, her first Ghost made it to about 2,500. Time for Ghost 2.

Pros: My daughter loves the feel and performance of this bat.

Cons: Have had 2 Ghost bats in the past 2 years. Both bats cracked within 2 months after the 1 year warranty. Although my daughter loves the Ghost bat, we will be looking for a bat that is more durable. Definitely not worth the cost.

We have not heard any news that the Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP18GH10) being legal in USSSA. We have not heard of the bat being changed in any way either. The DeMarini CFX -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFS) is a great option to follow up the DeMarini Hope as well.

We do not particularly recommend using any bat at temperatures below 55 degrees. When the temperature sinks below 55 degrees, the ball becomes denser and has the ability to damage the barrel walls of the bat. If a player is participating in a practice that is being held in conditions with a temperature below 55 degrees, we would recommend using an older model of bat. If a game is being held in conditions below 55 degrees we would recommend taking game-day BP with a non-game model bat and then only using the Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP18GH10) in the actual game.

Apologies for any inconvenience, but we do list all the certifications under the "Bat Features" section, as well as a boded line about this model not being approved for NSA or USSSA play. As far as we are aware, the reason it is not USSSA certified is due to the double barrel design and the differences between USSSA's testing methods and the methods used for other certifications. With the Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18GH10, like all other bats, if you swing a heavier bat (with the same bat speed) you will receive better performance off the bat. Therefore, the -9 would be able to provide more "pop" under those circumstances. However, if you are not able to handle the heavier weight it can certainly be more of a detriment than a benefit.

1.20 and 1.21 are BPF (Bat Performance Factor) ratings. The higher the number, the more pop the bat will have. Certain leagues and certifications require a certain BPF rating or lower for the bat to be legal for play. Senior Softball allows 1.21 BPF bats, while USSSA only allows 1.20 BPF bats. Because of this, you cannot use a Senior Softball bat for USSSA play.

I swing this bat and was wondering if there had been reports on whitish, circular spots on the bat. I had a tournament in Virginia and this bat was not legal and we were told to put it in our cars for the weekend, so I'm afraid the paint had melted off or if it is another issue. Also, within this problem, I had noticed a line that looks like a crack, but it's too light to tell and also another one vertical. Is it too early to send in the warranty, or do I have to wait until the cracks are more distinguished? It's my favorite bat ever. alyssa

I personally have not heard complaints of circular, white spots on the bat, and I don't believe any other of our customer service reps have either. The cracks that you mention sound like cracks in the paint, which is fairly common with composite bats. As the bats get broken in the fiber material loosens up, which loosens/cracks the paint as well. Oftentimes this can't really be avoided, and is more just an unfortunate feature with composite bats as they accumulate use. Generally this is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty since it causes no performance issue.

The manufactures will only typically replace a bat one time within 12 months from the date of purchase. This is not a policy strictly pertaining to Easton but rather the industry standard when it comes to metal bats; all bats that feature a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase are eligible for a one-time replacement during the warranty window. The Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18GH10 was made with only the ASA approval while the current version, with the gold lettering, is a USSSA approved bat. Essentially the 2018 model, with the blue lettering, would be the bat a player in high school and college would need. The gold lettering targets the younger players, primarily those in travel ball leagues that will typically follow the USSSA standard.

To extend the lifespan of this bat, it would be best to use a different bat for practice purposes. As well, Easton does offer a 12 month warranty on this bat. If the bat were to break, one could set up a warranty claim to get the bat replaced through Easton.
