Eastons Contiuned Excellence Coach Doug RBA South Virginia coach
Pros: Trying to find something to replace the 2 3/4" XL3 a few years ago, and Buying and trying many different brands, this is the closest match possible. The 2015 S3, 2016 S3 is the same make as the 2017 S3 but the color scheme is much better.....tired of the green. Over the past 3 years of the S3, the bat has tons of pop out of the wrapper, no break in period. This is critical because the kids grow out of a bat season by season and I have found that the $400-$500 MAKO or any composite bat still has no pop by the time the kid is swinging something that is to short. I work a lot with my son on hitting everyday and he takes at least 150 swings a day and the S3 holds up for one season. For most kids this bat would last a lifetime. If you are looking for a mid priced bat that has lots a pop out of the wrapper, and will feel great in your child's hand, this is the bat. Regardless of the child's talent, this bat will build their confidence and last for at least one season....or maybe a lifetime?
Cons: Depending on how much time you spend doing BP will determine the lifespan of the bat.
nice bill coach
Pros: it has very good pop my kid hit 1 300 feet witH this bat
Cons: it is the best bat everrrrrrrrr
My kid is 10U Majors 10U majors coach
Pros: Looks great but that's about all.
Cons: Bat dented on us at our 1st practice of the season. Pitching machine set to around 60 mph. None of the other bats are denting. This bat is cheap and poorly made. This bat folded bad.
Bat Dented after 2nd use Bteo parent
Pros: Good swing speed
Cons: Poorly made 2016 Easton broke and now 2017 dented after 1st use
Disappointed Oliver parent
Pros: It's pretty and my son loves the feel.
Cons: It's dead after 1/3 of a season. I will say that my 12 year old son swings it a ton if you include hitting lessons and regular practice but it's covered in dents and pretty much flat on one side. Maybe he should be swinging a heavier bat, one is on the way. He had last years model for last season and it held up way better than this one. We have been loyal Easton users for quite awhile so I'm disappointed. Luckily Easton has a good warranty since we will need it replaced two more times to get through the season.
Great pop but dented Jeff parent
Pros: The bat has great pop. My son loves it. First time using it in a tournament he was 5/7.
Cons: Problem, it dented the first tournament he played in. Called Easton and they will send out a replacement. I also saw the same bat at Play it Again sports and it was dented. Maybe because its the 2 3/4 barrel???
hit ball further into the outfield Big Guy parent
Pros: this bat improved my 8 year olds son swing greatly to point coaches were impressed. up graded to this big barrel 2 3/4 from a cheap 2 1/4 easton. well wirth cost to compete in travel ball. excellent middle of the road bat.
Cons: better bats iut there if you want to spend the money but 9u it might just be a waste of money.
HOTTT!!! Coach Sexton coach
Pros: good grip, lots of pop, no viberation
Cons: none
highly recommend Coach Chris parent
Pros: this is the bat to buy if youre looking for an excellent bat at a reasonable price. Great pop right out of the wrapper. My first at bat with the S3 was a double off of the left field fence!
Cons: none
dented easily a. Jones parent
Pros: Nice pop while it lasted
Cons: the bat has multiple dents within the first month of hitting. my 9yr old never got to use it in a game. only me throwing to him and cage balls. I have emailed Easton about sending a new one, I am waiting on their response.
Great deal for the price Jim Osborn coach
Pros: The bat has pop for the price!
Cons: It stings pretty good sometimes!
Easton S3 Douglas White coach
Pros: bat looks and feels nice
Cons: paint on bat chiped after a few uses
Great cold weather bat J.Keller coach
Pros: My son needed a cold weather bat during the horrible month of April and the S3 has done the job. Not as much pop as his Combat Maxum, but very good for an alloy.
Cons: None Yet
Easton S3 Nate coach
Pros: Ball Fly's off this bat! Great Sweet Spot Great Balance. My Son is playing 8U 40MPH Machine pitch and the ball is coming off hot on this bat! Smallest size it comes in is a 28inch my son is a taller 8U and great for him to grow into but not too big to effect his swing. Nice size barrel. He's been swing this bat all season.
Cons: Bought a lizard skin as this bat wrap is pretty weak that it comes with.. Does get some bee stings every now and then but no where near what his Louisville Slugger 518 was giving him.
Great bat for price Rick Parent
Pros: My 8u used this bat at 28/18 than we bought two expensive composite bats for 9u. He will continue to use the composite bats this year in warm weather. Bought another S3 at 30/20 for 10u to start season during cold weather. Great quality bat for the price but only plan on using it one season.
Cons: None you won't be disappointed.
Very happy Omar Coach
Pros: Great price, great quality Good bat speed
Cons: Needs to stand out more so the boys gravitate too it
Best bat Aj Player
Pros: I have had this bat for two years and it is one of the best bats I have ever used And it’s on the cheaper end...I actually think this could be a 200 dollar bat bc of all my bats this is my favorite one
Cons: I don’t have any it’s a all around good bat
Great Bat!!! Casey McLearen Coach
Pros: Awesome pop right out of the wrapper! Son hit 2 homeruns in the grand slam World Series in Panama City. 12u 31/21
Cons: None
