Axe Handle Scientifically Proven Benefits
Better Bat Control - High-speed video reveals a "hammering" motion from the traditional round knob. The Axe handle stabilizes the grip, increasing barrel control.
More Power & Bat Speed - Range of motion is increased and tension is reduced in the hands, resulting in greater power transfer and more bat speed.
Enhanced Comfort - The Axe handle is ergonomically designed to fit naturally in the contour of your hand.
Reduces Injuries - Traditional handles put tremendous pressure on a single point of the hand, which contains the commonly broken Hamate bone. The flush backside of the AXE handle relieves this pressure.

Awesome bat Mitch player

Pros: I got this along with a Hyperwhip bat after seeing Mookie and some pros swinging it. Couldn't be happier. The handle feels amazing and it feels like my hands are getting through the zone quicker.

Cons: Nothing yet

Used bat K9 parent

Pros: Bought this as a used item for my teenager as a last minute need for the season. So far he says it is great, some of the best hits he has been getting this season thus far. He says it has a very natural feel when he swings it and is only using gloves.

Cons: None so far.

break too easy going broke on buying bats parent

Pros: my player loved the feel

Cons: Axe brand wood apparently breaks easier than others. Saw 2 break in same game, one of which was my son who plays 17u. was the 2nd time he used it after spending 139 + expedited shipping. Even on Victus site Axe is the only kind that is not covered by 45 day warranty. All other wood bats are.

14 year old hitting .389 with new bat! Neil Parent

Pros: - Great weight distro and balance - Familiar axe handle - Hitting much further with this wood bat over his Axe Origin Alloy

Cons: Only negative is that after less than two weeks the bat is pretty marked up. Mostly cause of the 14 year old boy. Not necessarily the bat’s fault there.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Axe Pro Maple 243 Wood Baseball Bat: L119? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I am confused about the new USA bat standards for Little League / Babe Ruth play. Since this does not have the USA stamp does this comply with the new rules for play in these leagues? PCO5
As long as the wood bat is pure maple, birch, or ash the bat does not require the USA certification stamp. The 2017 AXE Pro Maple 243 Wood Baseball Bat: L119 would be legal for play under the USA standards because it is a solid maple wood bat. Different leagues can certainly have different requirements though, so it is always best to double check with your specific league.

I think Axe contracted with Victus for making wood Axe bats. Is this bat made by Victus? Nbblood
The 2017 AXE Pro Maple 243 Wood Baseball Bat: L119 is manufactured by Axe. This bat features a patented AXE Grip which is ergonomically designed for better control, bat speed, comfort, & safety. If you want a similar bat but manufactured by Victus, I would recommend the Victus Pro Reserve V243 Maple Wood Baseball Bat: VRWMV243. Both bats feature a 243 turn model so they will have a skinnier handle and conventional knob.

About the Brand

Launched by Baden Sports in 2011, the Axe line of bats was hailed as a breakthrough in bat technology by players and coaches from youth leagues to the Pros. The makers of the Axe line of bats often pose the question, "What does your traditional knob do for you?" Most players don't have a good answer. Axe engineers have created a handle that is not only more comfortable and safer in terms of hand injuries, but also helps improve the hitter's swing by keeping them on an even plane. Although Axe is new to the market, they are backed by Baden Sports, Inc., an independent, family-owned company that has been making baseball products since 1979. Their passion to create a better game is unparalleled, making it no surprise that the Axe handle is set to be baseball's next big thing.
