Pros: Very awesome bat !! All the girls were hitting with it. It does make a difference.
Cons: None
Pros: My daughter absolutely loves this bat.
Cons: none
Pros: Great balance, lots of initial pop, comfortable feel, good graphics. We normally go with the DeMarini bats but wanted to give this Louisville a try. So far, this bat is every bit as good as any we have ever had, regardless of brand. I really do think it boils down to personal preference and if you are a Louisville fan, this is the bat for you.
Cons: This bat makes a distinct sound upon impact that I'm told, is normal for these Louisville bats. Im skeptical at this point but so far so good.
Pros: Used for the first time during a game had two line shots up the middle, great pop and feel. Ready to use right out the wrapper and has a nice soft handle great for people who do wear batting gloves.I had only used Demarini bats before this bat but I am glad I switched.
Cons: none
Pros: Great pop, ball is hot off the bat !!! First hit was to the fence.
Cons: none
Pros: Well balanced and has a great feel.
Cons: Costly but we'll worth the price.
Pros: I am a college softball player and I have also played competitive travel ball since 12u. Basically, I have tried many different bat brands from DeMarini, Miken, Easton, Rockettech, even the first xeno model, AND THIS IS THE BEST BAT I HAVE EVER USED WITH AMAZING POP RIGHT OUT OF THE WRAPPER. The bat has great balance and control. I highly recommend this bat.
Cons: none
Pros: Great bat. Had much pop straight out the package. First game with her new bat my daughter hit a walk off 3 run homer over left field fence. Well worth the money.
Cons: None
Pros: This bat is awesome! My daughter was so thrilled to receive it and loves using it!!!
Cons: NONE!
Pros: This Bat has been a great asset to my daughters hitting major hits. We went to 12U Western Nationals Gold All Stars when the Bat was only a month old and it did well for a new bat. Now into the Fall Select the performance is outstanding with hits that sail 300 feet with ease. The bat has broken in and the POP sound on a good contact hit is something the crowd wakes up to.
Cons: The material/paint used on the ends by the grip handle chips away easier then I would expect. The bright lime green and white colors show dirt very quickly
Pros: Lots of pop and the bat feels great off the ball. Very smooth and consistent.
Cons: The it makes is very distinctive.
Pros: My daughter loves this bat. Great pop and feel. This is her 2nd LXT.
Cons: Ive had to send this back 2 times. First time, only 2 weeks after I bought it. 2nd time for the same reason. We've only had this bat since July 2015. The reason for sending it back was because it felt like it was loose and coming apart.
Pros: My daughter loved the sound and the pop off the bat.....
Cons: none so far ... waiting on the first "live action"....
Pros: Very balanced Hot out of the wrapper
Cons: None
Pros: I didn't want to admit it. My daughter had a teammate's bat and she told me this bat was amazing. I decided to let her have it and her first at bat, literally out of the wrapper she hit a rocket three run homer off the centerfield scoreboard. Ok, so it was the bat.
Cons: None
Pros: my daughter used her new bat for the first time this weekend, the pop off the bat is fanaminal!! evey ball she hit made it to the outfield
Cons: none at this time
Pros: lots of Pop,Big sweet spot
Cons: umpires are checking gaps in End cap and rubber where pieced together so take care of bat.
Pros: Excellent bat for as long as it is not broken.
Cons: My 12 yr old daughter has taken very good care of her bat but has gone through 2 in 15 months with the same problem. Louisville will not replace a bat that was a replacement. I would hope that they would correct this problem because they do not last long.
Pros: bought this new bat for my daughter she really loves it so far just waiting for some nice weather in order to get outside some more
Cons: no literature I have heard and am in the process of trying to find info but I was told you had to break in the bat not sure how to do that and was also told that you can't use it in the batting cages not sure if that true.
Pros: Hot right out the wrapper! massive sweet spot
Cons: none so far!
Pros: The bat has great pop right out of the wrapper. I feel it is the best bat Louisville has made since the blue and white 2012 model. That bat was hot and I think this one will be a game changer too!
Cons: The paint is chipping after only using it for 3 games. That doesn't affect the durability of the bat, but it'd sure be nice if they could use paint that's more durable.
Pros: weight to length was good. my eleven year is a power hitter and could turn on a 60mph pitch w it.
Cons: we took it straight to the batting cage and within 100 pitches it shattered. thankfully we went early so we could trade it in for a different model before a next day tournament. Im not a bat expert but at the time of failure, I was pitching 10u balls 35mph from 15 feet to an eleven yr old... you decide
Pros: I love the xeno bats, I have had 4 of them, none of them broke except for this one. The bat had some great pop for the first couple of hits. And the graphics are great.
Cons: I got it a little over a month ago and I am already sending it back, because of the way the barrel seperated from the handle
Pros: This is a good bat, period. I bought my daughter, who has a good swing, a Mako last season and she could just never get the pop needed out of the bat. She used the LXT in a tournament here in West Texas this past weekend and she went 7 for 9 at the plate. It's been a while since she has even hit over .300. The ball comes off the bat hard and the hits are hot so it's not as easy for the fielders to handle the balls when they are put in play. On another note I can be a little tight with my money, so I purchased a Boombah bat a few weeks before buying the LXT and it is worthless. The Boombah bat will vibrate your kid's hands off! It vibrates as bad as the old aluminum bats we used when I was growing up. My advice is to spend the extra a get a proven, quality bat the first time.
Cons: The paint chips easily.
Pros: my daughter playing 10u loves this bat. performs very well, its ballanced, swings light and easy, very forgiving large sweet spot, ball really jumps off any part of the barrel.
Cons: waste of time and money. This handle design is so cheap. we have absolutly babied this bat from day one. Only practicing with soft toss wiffle balls and game use only. After 3 games the handle is coming loose at the barrel. What a dissapointment!! After biting the bullet and shelling out the doe, im shocked! At this price point, one should expect a decent level of durability. This stinks!!!!!!!!!
Pros: nice bat, good pop
Cons: bought this bat for my daughter and the bat doesnt last. high school team had three bats crack or start rattle. my daughters bat started cracking at the bottom of the barrel. hers wasnt the only one. when the umps check bats before games the louisville bats are the ones they want to check first for coming unscrewed and for rattle. bought the bat before the season started and only made it about six weeks. shexwas the only one using it and she rotated the bat after each hit. wish the bat could last. one more thing saw one snap in half during a game with the barrel flying down third base line
Pros: i am in 12u now and i feel like this bat has done me good. i used to hit to the outfeild with my old demerini bat but with this ney bat i hit at leats 1 homerun overthe fence each tournament
Cons: nothing
Pros: Homerun after homerun with this bat! Hot right out of the wrapper!
Cons: After 6 Months of use the bat cracked in two places! Her Xeno bat same thing! They don't seem to last long
Pros: The pop is great at first!
Cons: I am 17 years old and I have had this bat for about 6 months and I recently used it in a practice and the barrel started to twist off the handle and the next swing I took when I was making contact with the ball it almost felt like the bat clicked out of place. This bat is NOT durable!!
Pros: Great pop.... so enjoy it while it lasts.... Literally my kids favorite bat, but it will break. Hold onto your receipt and you only get one replacement.
Cons: It will break within a years time. Rattles handle issues Bad grip material Check the bat regularly after a tournament weekend you may be surprised like I was that the inside is broke. The 2017 model my daughter says it doesn't feel the same as the 2016.
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. swings great, feels lighter than it actually is. We hit bombs with it in practice. Best bat out there right now. We have moved to strictly swinging the LXT bats on our HS team. Based on 6 yrs of coaching this team, we have moved from the demarini insane and mako to only LXT because of the vast improvement the girls showed after using these bats. We don't have a girl on the team that doesn't use this bat now.
Cons: Only one con, if you can call it a con, this model has a slightly smaller sweet spot and is designed for advanced hitters that can get the barrel through the zone, but what I understand is the new LXT hyper eliminates this issue with double the sweet spot and still the same pop. I wished we had a few more in the ole' bat bag.
Pros: This bat is made for games, it is not a cage bat or practice bat. I would highly recommend to any one that wants to maintain this bat and not have problems to forgo using it as anything other than what it was made for, which is a game bat. Many girls want to use it for every thing from cage and tee work to BP cause its a great bat to use. Lots of pop. But use the other bats for these purposes and you will have limited problems with this piece of equipment. Like gloves or any other softball tool take care of it and it will take care of you. *And do not use with pitching machines PERIOD!!!
Cons: No cons on this bat it has been durable and has been a great tool to use.
Pros: It feels nice and looks nice. I am a 5'2" lefty power hitter, and swung a 34 -9. I have swung this size since I was a sophomore in highschool. The pop of this bat was unbelievable out of wrapper. I had Xenos before this.
Cons: If you want a bat to last a couple of months, then get this one. The Xenos and LXTS are very poorly made. I love the concept of a three piece, but every one I have had snaps at the connecting point. I was very dissapointed when my LXT snapped during batting practice.

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
