Description

For 2016, Easton has brought the most expansive line of power and performance to the market with the all-new Power Brigade Series!

The innovation with this one starts in the money-maker - the barrel. By forging it from their most advanced alloy yet - HMX (Hyperlite Matrix Alloy) - the R&D squad at Easton has given hitters one of the most responsive hitting surfaces possible. Throw in Easton's patented ConneXion Technology that has revolutionized the two-piece game, and you have not only one of the most forgiving bats out there; but also one of the most powerful! By using hinge technology that isolates the alloy barrel from the extremely tough SIC Black Carbon Composite handle, essentially all negative vibration is redirected away from the hitters hands and back into the ball on contact. This hinge also creates an enormous amount of flex that leads to maximum trampoline - so you'll know exactly when you squared-one-up with the Easton S2 Senior League.

The S2 Youth features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -10 length to weight ratio, new HYPERSKIN Performance Grip, and the USSSA BPF 1.15 Certification. Amplify Your Power and pick up the Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S210 today at JustBats.com. The shipping is always free, and we're always here for you - from ClickToHit!

2016 Easton S2 Jason Riggio coach

Pros: Excellent bat. Replaced my son's Easton 27" -10 2 5/8 with a newer model. His was two years old. For smaller kids I highly recommend the half and half. Alloy Barrels seem to produce more power. Easily gained 40 feet in distance. The ball is coming off the barrel with greater speed.

Cons: None

2016 Easton S2 Enrique parent

Pros: The bat is a great bat, my 9 year old got some more distance from out of the S2 than what he was getting from his old bat.

Cons: The only bad thing about this bat was that my 9 year old had it for 2 weeks witch was 6 practices and one weekend tournament and the end-cap broke off.

Consistent Derek's Dad parent

Pros: Consistent with prior s2's. My son as been swinging for 2 months and he has not complained about vibration feedback in his hands yet. It may be due to the increased weight of my son's bat but he has been hitting the further/harder than his old s2.

Cons: The white paint gets marked up very quickly. No big deal. Not other complaints after 2 months of use.

One Cage session - dented Bill parent

Pros: none

Cons: One cage session, with normal baseballs. My kid is 12, 90lbs, hits hard, but crazy on his 5th hit with the bat, weird noise and bat dented just below the sweet spot - this S2 was to replace two previous dented S3's. Officially done with Easton.

major flaw on bat coach Q parent

Pros: my 11u son likes the bat. its the first expensive bat i have bought him so that may be why he liked it. he did seem to hit the ball harder with it.

Cons: the con outweighs any pros because its a fragile, unreliable bat. the cap cracked within 2 weeks of purchase and completely broke ofter 2 months use. i have a 1 yr manufacturer warranty which i will now use but i am going to have to get the same flawed bat which i am sure will brk again.

Excellent Bat but worried about durability AP parent

Pros: My 12 years old son received this bat on Thursday and played a tournament 2 days after. He used during the warm ups and felt good with it. Used during the entire tournament and the bat perform really well. He has a 2013 S2 (29/19) bat that he still used every now and then. Last year, I bought him a 2014 S3 30/20 last year and he hit the ball well but did not have that extra pop on it so I bought him this bat and it performed well out of the box.

Cons: I am a little worried about this bat because I hear a lot about the cap come out a lot. I will see how long it will last.

My son has had the 2016 Easton S2 senior league baseball bat for 3 or 4 months and the end cap has came off while batting in a game. Will Easton take bat back or fix it without receipt? Can't find it from when we purchased the bat. If not, what would be the right end cap to try and fix the bat with? Albert
If you ordered the 2016 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S210 from us at JustBats.com we would recommend giving us a call so we can help locate your receipt as you would need a copy of this to set up the Return Authorization number with Easton. This would allow you to send the bat back to Easton for warranty replacement. As for an end cap, we are not aware of being able to secure another cap to the bat yourself.
Cameron
Where this is a hybrid (composite/alloy) bat, does it have the same temperature restrictions that a fully composite bat has? BBMom324
Ideally you do not want use any bat, regardless of material, in temperatures below 55 degrees. The ball actually becomes more dense in those colder temperatures and they can cause alloy barrel bats like the 2016 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S210 to dent and composite bats to crack.
Jason
My son currently uses a Mako 28/16 2 1/4 bat. He just started travel ball and is looking for a big barrel. He is 8, 4'3" and 75 lbs. He is strong, but I amworried about going too heavy because he is asjusting to kid pitch. Is this a good bat? hoping to get something that will last 2 seasons. Rooster
Yes, the 2016 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL16S210) is a great option for your son. I would recommend it in a 28/18 for your son.
