Description

The Slow Pitch scene has found its next innovation with the Easton MAKO TORQ Slow Pitch Softball Bat! TCT Thermo Composite Technology is the key to the MAKO TORQ's massive sweet spot, and pure feel on contact. This advanced material is found in both the barrel and handle which are united by the patented 2-PC ConneXion (CXN) Technology. By isolating the handle from the barrel with this connection joint, energy transfer is maximized while simultaneously eliminating any unwanted vibration. An evenly balanced design with a 12 Inch Barrel Length, the Easton MAKO TORQ gives all types of hitters the ability to find the gaps and drive the ball to the deepest parts of the park. That construction alone would be enough for most, but the team at Easton has taken this design to a whole new level with the inclusion of the TORQ 360 Degree Rotating Handle Technology. Here's what you can expect:

Own The Inner Half: The TORQ Handle frees up your hands, allowing hitters to barrel-up the inside pitch while reaching full extension.

Stay Inside The Ball: By getting your hands inside the ball, the TORQ promotes the best swing mechanics for more consistent, powerful contact.

Power To All Fields: TORQ Technology helps you keep the barrel on-plane longer through the hitting zone, so you can drive the ball with more backspin (to all parts of the yard).

The Easton MAKO TORQ Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat is approved for play in ASA ONLY. It is also backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pick up your own SP16MBA today with Fast, Free Shipping!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton MAKO TORQ Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP16MBA? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What's new for the 2016 model vs. the 2015 model? Anything besides the graphics? Tim
This 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP16MBA) will be pretty much the same as the 2015 SP15MBA (besides the different graphics and updated grip on this 2016 model). Both bats feature the two-piece, all-composite design. As well, both bats have the 12" barrel length, TCT Thermo Composite barrel and balanced swing weight. The only real small difference is that the 2015 SP15MBA will feature SIC Black Carbon Composite material on the handle (this 2016 bat has TCT Thermo Composite on the handle).

Is this bat Easton's current model that most closely replicates the 2013 Easton SP13S2? If not, which current bat is? Dan
The Easton S2 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP13S2) is a One-Piece Single System Composite Design. The 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP16MBA) is a Two-Piece, Fully Composite Design. So they are going to be pretty different. The two piece design is going to offer a lot more flex than that one piece design. Neither design has an inherited advantage over the other, it is just going to be personal preference whether somebody likes one over the other. Currently I would say Easton's most similar bat to that S2 is going to be the Easton Salvo Balanced ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP15SVAU). It is going to be a One-Piece, Single System Composite Design.
