No. The 2016 Easton MAKO Tee Ball Bat (TB16MK135) is a tee ball bat that would not be suitable to hit any type of pitched ball. It is intended to hit a stationary ball off of a tee.

My league rules state that any bat must say "Official Tee Ball" on the barrel. I was told the MAKOs say "Official Baseball." Do you know what this says on it? BDowning
You are correct - the 2016 Easton MAKO Tee Ball Bat: TB16MK135 features "Official Baseball" on its barrel and will NOT feature the "Official Tee Ball" script. The bat will also feature the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp, and "Approved for Play in Little League, Babe Ruth Basebal, Dixie Youth Basebal, and PONY Baseball on its barrel.

We do not recommend using Tee Ball or Junior Big Barrel bats in machine pitch, as the velocity of the pitches will increase the likelihood of the bat being dented and becoming defective.

My son is 5 and is playing tee ball. The last inning of each game the coach pitches to him. Next year he will move up and play machine pitch. Is this bat right for him? Crouse
Although this 2016 Easton MAKO Tee Ball Bat (TB16MK135) is technically only meant for use when hitting a ball that is stationary off a tee. I think it would be okay for use if you guys only used it to hit a thrown baseball once a game. However, if you were practicing with baseballs that were being thrown, I would recommend only using softer balls (not regulation baseballs) to prevent the bat from cracking.

Unfortunately, the 2016 Easton MAKO Tee Ball Bat: TB16MK135 does not feature the "Official Tee Ball" stamp so if you're league requires that stamp then this bat will not be allowed. If you're league doesn't require that stamp then you can prove to them that this is a tee ball bat by the model number: TB16MK135. The TB at the beginning of the model number stands for tee ball.

My son is bigger 5 and he can already hit off of a 40 mph pitching machine. He use his brothers 28 inch bat, but it is a little long for him to use. How would this bat at 26 inch hold up on a 40 mph hitting machine? Dave
The 2016 Easton MAKO Tee Ball Bat: TB16MK135 is not intended for use with a pitching machine. That will dramatically increase the chances of the bat becoming defective.

My son is 7 and is playing 8U baseball. He is small (4' and 46 lbs). Would this bat work for hitting baseballs at this level (he has an Easton 27"/-13 now and I feel he should have a smaller, lighter bat)? Fred
I would not recommend a tee ball bat like this 2016 Easton MAKO Tee Ball Bat (TB16MK135) for use in a non-tee ball league. The walls on these bats are not very strong and will break down pretty easily with thrown balls. Unfortunately, there are not any bats that have a 2 1/4" diameter and are under a 27" length that will be intended for thrown balls. If you wanted to try this bat out, you could certainly do so, but I do not know if I would be able to guarantee the durability.
