Description
There's a reason the DeMarini Voodoo has been the most popular choice at the NCAA D1 level for consecutive seasons. Everything about this bat is tailored specifically for the biggest and baddest hitters on the planet. The Voodoo RAW's massive barrel is forged from DeMarini's most responsive alloy yet - X12. Not only does this innovative material create a huge, forgiving sweet spot, but it creates the slightly end loaded swing weight that gives the Voodoo RAW its famous baseball-crushing power potential. That extra mass is strategically added into the hitting zone so that players can attack pitches with the most power possible. The newest addition to the Voodoo's frame this year would be the D-Fusion 2.0 technology. An extra-stiff flex is created at the joint connecting this hybrid's alloy barrel to its composite handle. End loaded swing weight and stiff flex = the exact recipe you need for the biggest sky-scraping moonshots. With the new Voodoo RAW, simply throw your hands, and watch it fly.
The DeMarini Voodoo RAW BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVDC features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -3 length to weight ratio, the BBCOR Certification for High School and Collegiate Play, and is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Pros: The sound and pop of the bat is absolutely amazing the slight end load swing for power hitters is great and the D-Fusion handle takes away all the vibration
Cons: Absolutely Nothing
Pros: The pop on this bat is amazing , it launches the ball off the bat.
Cons: Handel is slightly thin / small
Pros: Bat has so much pop right out of the wrapper. As soon as i picked it up i said "Wow." the grip and handle is skinnier that your finger. No vibration.
Cons: The grip may be too skinny.
Pros: This bat is amazing overall. The feel, the pop, the durability, you name it. Personally I believe the thinner handle was a good idea because it gives you more control over the bat.
Cons: Thinner handle doesnt add protection when getting jammed. Ball will still fly off the bat though!
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Everything about this bat is garbage
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Pros: I had the chance to use my friends voodoo and let me tell you something, this bat looks freaking cool and its got the best pop of any bat i have ever swung. And its not just for power hitters. Contact hitters can get just enough out of it as the heavy ones. Everyone that has something bad to say about it is just jealous they don't have it. I am definitely getting one this christmas.
Cons: That i don't have one yet.
Pros: everything
Cons: none
Pros: My son is a 8th grader and practices with High School. High school Boys loved the bat and my son had big hits straight out wrapper. Definitely a 5 star bat.
Cons: none so far
Pros: This bat has a ton of pop! No other bat that I have tried compares to this one. I highly recommend this bat. It is pretty balanced and feels great to swing. You need to get this bat. It drops BOMBS!!!
Cons: The grip was slightly thin, so I just replaced it with some Lizard Skin
Pros: Bat has great pop for a BBCOR. Bat is End Loaded as advertised. Great feel and great weight distribution. Bat is forgiving on miss hits and very cold weather with no vibration which transfers to Confidence when swinging.
Cons: None
Pros: -Lots of pop -Big sweet spot -Sound is loud (I like this a lot) -No vibration -Customized this bat and got a 34/31 and the end load is just right and the colors came out amazing.
Cons: -Grip may be too skinny, I replaced mine with a LizardSkins, which I was going to do anyway and that fixed the issue for me
Pros: amazing pop and feel or the power in it
Cons: handle to skinny , and the re-tape it to make it thicker
Pros: Lots of pop, very end loaded, ball flies off the bat, handle is great size, and has a good feel. Overall like the bat.
Cons: The end cap popped off in my second game of the season. The warranty is a 1 year warranty and only 1 claim in that year and will take 7-10 days to get a replacement shipped out after they receive the defective bat. I have to pay for the shipping to Demarini and they will ship a replacement in 2 day shipping. Other companies email shipping label for warranty issues and overnight a replacement before they receive defecting bat. Will not purchase a Demarini again due to warranty. Overall rating is not 5 stars because of the customer service of Demarini.
Pros: Great Bat! As soon as I took this bat out of the box it did not need any breaking in and had great pop. I like the end loaded feel of this bat. It is also the most used bat on the LSU baseball team.
Cons: None
Pros: I got this bat for my birthday going into freshman year of high school and it's been great so far. This bat has great pop and everything I make contact with goes far even if I don't hit it very well. I'd recommend it to almost anyone. Also, lots of my teammates want to use it so beware!
Cons: I've felt a bit of sting from hitting balls off the end of it but nothing major. Also the grip is thin but it really isn't a big deal. I'd still very much recommend this bat.
Pros: love this bat just is amazing plus check out the Cf-8
Cons: there are none
Pros: This bat has absolutely tremendous pop once you break it in. I went from hitting baseballs about 330 to 360 just by switching from my velo. It is a little end heavy so you have to get used to that. As well as the bat his almost no vibration, if you get cuffed there is no vibration to kill your hands.
Cons: The handle is too thin for my liking, but putting a lizard skin on fixes that right away. And the paint chips off the barrel pretty easily, and it marks up quickly.
Pros: The Pop on this bat is absolutely amazing and Durability and Vibration are not a problem.
Cons: The grip is a bit skinny so I just replaced mine with lizard skin.
Pros: Big barrel great for power hitting. Weighted nicely and feels comfortable
Cons: Tape comes off easy
Pros: This bat has so much pop. Just got it today and went to hit with it and was automatically greatly impressed with the pop straight out of the wrapper. Has a little flex when swinging but just the right amount to exchange the energy to the ball.
Cons: Grip was a little thin. Still not bad though.
Pros: This bat is insane. The pop that it has is crazy. Right out of the wrapper this bat drops bombs. Would recommend to everyone!
Cons: the grip may be too skinny, but i just put 1.1 mm lizard skin on it and it is perfect!
Pros: We went to a Demo batting cage and hit about 6 different bats, composites, hybrids, balanced and end loaded. It really came down to the Mako XL or the Voodoo Raw. My son kept going back to the Raw stating that the feel of the ball coming off the bat was excellent. he also loved the sound it made with good contact. The bat does have alot of pop and very little to no vibration. You cant go wrong with this bat, I would say the best bat we swung. Ultimately he liked the feel and the looks of this bat over the Mako XL, but both are very nice bats. You would not think looks plays that much into it, but looking good is part of being confident as long as it takes the correct place behind performance. Good Job DeMarini, you have a new fan.
Cons: None Yet. My son loves it
Pros: Son absolutely loves his new bat. Just moved up to BBCOR league. Actually plays in both that USSSA league and a BBCOR league. Would just as soon use his BB core bat in all his games. Great pop with hits yo all fields.
Cons: Not any i can think of.
Pros: the bat is absolutly amazing. im an incoming freshmen and hit a 320 ft bomb. hit 2 doubles and a single in one game going 3/3 and almost hit a 2 run shot in one of my doubles
Cons: feels terrible when getting jammed but i geuss thats what you get for getting jammed. grip rips easy, recomend lizardskin
Pros: much pop right out of the wrapper and massive sweetspot with great carry distance.
Cons: not much padding on grip so you feel hits off of the end cap and handle.
Pros: Sweet spot is absolutely amazing Ball fly's off the bat when hit right
Cons: Bad bat wrap Barrel load is not even
Pros: has amazing pop especially for a non composite bat, has an end loaded feel which i personally love but know that before you buy it. i love the alloy sound it has to it. defenitely for power hitter thought. ive used it for a season and a half and ive noticed no difference other than the grip wearing down since it was brand new. i still plan on using it for a while.
Cons: could be better looking. not the best grip
Pros: The bat is really strong and durable. Its one of the most durable bats i've ever owned and used. The endload on it helps when you are a power hitter.
Cons: The handle and the original grip on the bat are a little skinny and not that durable. I would suggest if you purchase this bat you also get a new grip tape to fit your preferences.
Pros: Great and durable bat!!! Best bat I have ever owned. Really durable not a lot of vibrations when you make contact.
Cons: The grip that it comes with is not that durable will rip easy. I suggest getting new grip when you get the bat.
Pros: Great Pop, Great swing weight, great flex, great knob feel
Cons: vibrates on jam shots but not a big deal for me

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
