I have a 9 year old that is 4'8" and 104 lbs. She currently has a 29" 2015 XENO. What size would be good for her? Rookie 10u....hitter though!
Based upon your player's height and weight, we would recommend getting bat with a 31" length to it. If you think that the the 21 oz weight of the 31" option of this 2016 COMBAT Madison Shipman -10 Single Wall Fastpitch Softball Bat (TCSFP210) would be beneficial, I would recommend this bat in that size for your player!

The correct length and weight to get a player is going to be determined by their height and weight as well as what they are currently using and how they have been handling this bat. Since your play has been using the same bat now they are probably in line for an increase in length and weight. One always should swing the heaviest bat possible that does not negatively affect bat speed. A drop 10 bat like the 2016 COMBAT Madison Shipman -10 Single Wall Fastpitch Softball Bat: TCSFP210 is a great fit for a high school player or a stronger middle school player. A -13 bat would be better suited for a younger player (6-10) who is on the smaller side or who is struggling with generating consistent bat speed.

There is no definitive answer when it comes to temperature and bat use, but we here at JustBats generally say about 45-50 degrees is around the cut off point to where you would want to use an older model/practice bat if you were playing in weather colder than that.
