The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1503E) is actually very balanced. For RIP-IT's end loaded design, I would check out the 2014 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403). But a power hitter can still use a balanced bat very well, if that's the design they prefer using.

The 2015 model features R3 composite in the handle and R3 alloy in the barrel. The R3 alloy and composite provide improved durability for the bat compared to the R2 alloy and composite in the 2014 model.

Both the 2015 RIP-IT AIR Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1503E) and the 2015 RIP-IT AIR BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1503A) have many positives. For one, the hybrid construction (composite handle/alloy barrel) in the Air Elite still results in a balanced swing weight. Also, go ahead and look at the reviews, you'll notice that all 4 of Air Elite reviews on our website mention the "pop" of the bat right out of the wrapper.
Both the Elite and the Air feature a contact grip that provides extreme vibration reduction. They both also have been designed on the interior of the barrel with grooves (instead of removal of alloy in layers) in order to meet performance standards. The grooves, instead of layer removal, are implemented to make the barrel more durable.
As far as negatives are concerned, you can see that nothing alarming has been reported by anyone about either bat on our website.

We live in Michigan. Many of our high school games are played in 50 degree temperatures. Would a alloy or composite bat be better for cooler temperatures? wklausing
We recommend not using any bat under 55 degree weather due to the ball becoming much more dense and effecting the durability of the bat. However if you had to choose the alloys tend to stand up better in colder weather so the 2015 RIP-IT AIR Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat: B1503E would be a solid choice.

I would give the edge to the Helium in having a slightly lighter swing-weight. Both bats also offer a 30 day trial period so if you wanted to try one of them, we could exchange for the other model as well.

The 2015 RIP-IT AIR Elite BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1503E) will flex more than a one-piece design. The 2015 RIP-IT AIR BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1503A) was a one-piece design that was available in that size but we no longer have it in stock. The 2017 line should have that size available.
