Finally Jamie player

Pros: great pop, comfortable handle. I am a female playing coed softball and lately I haven't been able to get out of the infield so I'm no power hitter by any means. With this bat I have been able to burn everyone in the outfield and get doubles all day. I like heavier bats so I got the 28oz and just love it!

Cons: none yet

Is this bat good for 52 core 300 compression balls. I'm a small guy with a lot of power. I am 5'7 and weigh 140 pounds what do you think would work best? Dan
The 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload USSSA (ULTMXU) Slow Pitch will be perfect for the 52 core 300 compression balls. The new bats are designed for those balls. Most all the bats produced the last couple of years will be best performing with those balls. Only the old ASA stamp 2004 will be made for the old balls.

Is this bat good with core .44 softballs? Podski
The 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (ULTXMU) would be better versus the .52 core balls. The bat may be more easily damaged if hit versus the .44 core balls. They are harder balls.
Brandon
I was always under the impression that shorter barrels like 12" are better for power hitters as it enables more bat whip. Am I mistaken and would this bat with a 14.5" barrel be an optimal choice for a long ball hitter? Big Guy
A shorter barrel length can help concentrate energy transferred into the ball on contact and create a bit more momentum with all of that weight away from the hands. You will find that many bats with a full end load will also have the shorter, 12" barrel length. But there are some bats that are great for power hitters that have a full ounce end load and long sweet spot (Miken Psycho SuperMax and Worth SICK Resmondo). Ultimately, it all comes down to preference. You can still generate quite a bit of power with a bat like this 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Maxload USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (ULTXMU), even with the longer barrel and just a half ounce end load.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
