Description

Every year, Easton unveils the latest game changing technology that revolutionizes baseball bats to enhance player performance. Expect nothing less from Easton this season with the new MAKO TORQ. The MAKO TORQ combines power with a new genius twist: a 360 Degree TORQ Handle. This never before seen handle rotates to promote a fully extended swing, with the top palm facing up, and the bottom palm facing down. By allowing the wrists to move freely, the MAKO TORQ technology gets the barrel to the zone faster and keeps it in the zone longer, allowing the hitter to square up more pitches, more often with explosive power. There is no doubt the MAKO TORQ is way ahead of the competition, providing players with an increasingly important edge to stay on top! Easton added the 360 Degree TORQ handle to their high end MAKO baseball bat. The two-piece, composite design is equipped with the same powerful technologies such as Easton's TCT Thermo Composite Technology and their ConneXion Technology. TCT Thermo Composite is engineered to provide top-notch players two major benefits: unmatched bat speed and a massive sweet spot. ConneXion Technology maximizes energy transfer for an optimized feel. To provide baseball players with a world-class feel, Easton also included their gauze grip. There is a reason why champions swing Easton as they never settle for the ordinary! Easton is Sports Engineering! The Easton MAKO TORQ is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Best bat I have ever owned! Curveballcrusher player

Pros: The pop and sound of this bat is incredible, the torq handle enables the hitter to drive balls instead of rolling over on balls that you would normally roll-over on, all around just a great bat!

Bad purchase Baller player

Pros: Good bat. Just not what I expected

Cons: No different than the regular mako. Just payed an extra 100 bucks to get a neon green mako. The handle only rotates on bad swings where you wouldnt be getting hits anyway.

Bubba Update Bubba parent

Pros: The bat is getting hotter by the day. The Mako Torq is becoming not only a great bat but a great self learning tool as well. Once your kid gets comfortable with the handle. Its Hammer Time. The grip is the the best. Would like to see an end loaded model as well. Great investment. You still get some bad hits just like any other bat. Keep swinging wood too.

Cons: Lets face it, the cost of the bat is an extra 100 bucks. You break it down throughout the year. It cost an extra .51 cents a day for a year. Not to mention every kid wants to use it.

Awful anon player

Pros: Great pop, Very balanced If you have a SEVERE problem with rolling over the bat is for you great bat besides the (cons)

Cons: *Bat forces you to roll over in the middle of your swing to try to help players NOT roll over. *The torq grip doesn't help with the rolling over part because it happens even more. *Messes up your swing *Feels weird along with the turning.

It's not worth the price Carter Klein player

Pros: OK the bat has a little vibration. Great POP for a BBCOR bat. The 360 rotating handle is horrible.

Cons: Rotating handle. Very hard to hit with my hands always moving. I would get the MAKO instead but some people think its good to have the most expensive bat on the market. I recommend the MAKO over the Torq

Pros: The TORQ is killing it. This is a bat that needs to be in every players bag. I bought the Prime and the Overlord to see how he would hit repeating the swing of the TORQ. The feedback he gets is positive. The work he puts in will have its rewards. His batting average has gone up. Don't knock a kid with this bat in his hands. It is going to make him a better hitter. The grip is still holding up strong. And he will be swinging the TORQ.

Don't spend 500 dollars on this 5linger player

Pros: Cool look

Cons: It is very very odd feeling. Went to a tournament and they had this out for us to test, and none of us ( 16-18 year olds) thought it helped at all in our swings. Plus if you did piece it up it didn't feel or sound good. Not worth the money. Very bad bat

A piece of modern bat technology. Logan player

Pros: -Experienced hitters will appreciate the rotating handle that allows you to keep your hands in the zone way longer and prevents premature top hand rollover. Extends ability to cover more of the plate, especially the inner half. -The ball flies off the barrel. -For all of you that like the sweet sound of solid contact, you'll love this bat.

Cons: -More inexperienced hitters may struggle with rotating handle. -Pricey.

Weird John player

Pros: has good pop is well balanced has a decetn sized sweet spot

Cons: the handle almost broke my wrist, Easton is pushing the whole palm up palm down thing with hitting which is the right concept just the wrong approach, you already move your wrists into a palm up palm down position so having a handle that does that more forces the hand to push super hard and pull stuff that shouldn't be pulled. It doesn't really help with being short to the ball. By a good wood bat and pay for hitting lessons

Great bat if you can afford it. DroppoToTheOppo coach

Pros: It has the mako barrel so once you break it in (composite bats need around 200 cuts on each part of the barrel to break in) it pops off nicely. People say the handle isn't good, but those people aren't very good and are just blaming the bat for their inability to use it. It also has no vibration. The handle will take some tiem to get used to but you need to break it in anyways before you use it in a game. Overall, once you break it in and get a rhythm down with the handle it is a great bat.

Cons: The only reason not to buy this bat is because of the price. Easton is like the Nike of baseball, so they will hike up any new development through the roof.

not worth it save your money a2z player

Pros: hits as well as any bat out there

Cons: you will spend $100 more than needed for a bat. i tried this bat out at a demo and it doesnt work, maybe if you dont have a proper swing it could do something for you. but you need help with your swing get a coach not this bat. works like any other bat out there. if you hit the ball fine and have a good swing save your money and use the money that you would use to buy this bat, to buy the normal mako or any other bat and a nice pair of cleats.

Why the Original Mako is better than the Mako Torq Chris Q player

Pros: It is still a Mako, so those of you who have swung the Mako will know how quick you get to the baseball, and how much pop the Mako has.

Cons: The Con's are that the Mako Torq is basically throwing experienced players off. Now what I mean by this is that anyone who is looking to go to the next level and play professionally will be swinging wood bats, and we all know they will never make a wood bat that has a rotating handle. Baseball has been played for over a century without a rotating handle. So my personal opinion is that if you really want to go to the next level and then eventually professional ball then I would stick with the original Mako. - Feels like the handle will fall off when you swing - Takes a while to get used to

great bat! Kyle Fitzgerald player

Pros: The bat has a great feel too it. Very balanced. I know people say oh the handle doesn't do good. Personally the handle does great! Gets to them inside pitches. And keeps your hands where they need to be. Word of advice though if you don't like the way it feels with a normal grip with all knuckles aligning, align all your middle knuckles and that will help with the feel of the bat.

Cons: None very very good bat. Highly recommended!

Great bat, but... Kendall West player

Pros: Pop Balance Low vibration

Cons: This bat is a great idea, however you will never be able to go away from it. For experienced players it will mess up swings and for less experienced players it allows them to square up more pitches however when they try to switch bats they will roll over for days. These bats are allowed in college however scouts won't look at anybody who relies on them simply because they will take a long time getting back into the swing of a regular bat which wastes money if they are drafted. If you are looking for a good experience in high school get it, but you won't be able to go much farther than that.

Stupid Vexxum player

Pros: Has ok pop. Looks pretty cool.

Cons: This bat is not for you, unless you have a death grip on the bat. If you already line up door knocker knuckles, the bat wont rotate in your swing. The spinning handle is useless to people with a good form swing. If you have a death grip and dip in your swing, this bat will fix your form. Not as much pop as the xl1. Grip tape is terrible. Couldnt hit the ball with the rotating handle, the bat did what it wanted to. I prefer my 2013 vexxum over this bat.

Thought this was a great idea Jeremy parent

Pros: Bought this bat for my 7 year old to play Little League. The idea of your hands always being in the right position was a selling point. We always work on lining the middle knuckles up so he shouldn't need to use the handle, but if he's not thinking about it, this would fix the issue mid swing. Well, the first 500-1000 cuts the bat was working great, he was hitting the ball farther, harder, and more consistent that with his 2014 S1.

Cons: Then tonight, you could hear the bat starting to do something weird. Then after hitting ball after ball in the sweet spot and having them die as they popped off and he wanted to drop the bat, I played with the bat and notice that the handle has a huge wobble to it. For $349 bucks, you would think they wouldn't send out a BETA bat. Very disappointed as now I have to wait for Easton and we have try outs on Saturday (Tonight is Thursday). Lets see how Easton make this up to us!

Not Helpful to Players O33 player

Pros: Nice bat but go with the MAKO

Cons: If you are looking to go into higher baseball or even a wood bat league the rotating handle will not help unless Easton thinks a wood bat can come with a rotating handle too. They are trying to help you not roll over in your swing, but as soon as you hit with wood your results will be pulled grounders, much different than with your MAKOtorq. Secondly, why would you want to spend an extra $100 for a handle that will be doing you a disservice. (And the other Power Brigade bats have a much better grip, just saying)

Pros: I was scared to unwrap this thing it was so pretty. It has amazing pop and springs off the bat right as you hit it. You dont even have to swing that hard for it to be a shot. the Xl1 has pretty good pop too but besides the rotating randle (which doesnt really do much) this bat is the same as the XL1 and the normal 2015 mako.

Pros: this bat is basicly the mako but painted green and has a spinny handle. The rotating handle doesnt do to much but it doesnt effects anything. I have the 32/29 amd it feels alot lighter than 29 ounces. i went from 23 ounces to 29 no problem. The ball shoots off the bat right off contanct. The bat seems alot similar too the XL1 and the S series bats but this just has more pop in general.

Great Bat Anon player

Pros: The bat meets the expectation in my opinion with the great pop it provides and the massive barrel. I personally, am not a fan of the rotating handle but that's not a problem because I just put lizard skin over the original grip allowing the handle not to turn. Cheaper than the 2015 mako which is $359. If you cover-up the rotating handle, it basically is a neon green mako that is $50-60 cheaper. Overall great bat and would recommend this bat for grades 6th-College.

Cons: -Rotating Handle might not be for everybody but easy fix if you do not like it by adding new grip tape -Pricey everywhere but here ($ 299.89)

Pros: The bat has great pop. It has no vibration and feels great. I really like the handle. People say it only rotates on bad swings, but that is the way it should be. It does not mess up good swings, but it has gotten me some hits on bad swings. The durability has not been a problem for me so far. Overall, a great choice, for $200.

Pros: This bat was worth every penny. The bat as soon as I broke it in started to have the ball fly off the bat. To me it's like a mako with a turning handle.

Cons: To get rid of the turning handle just tape it and it will be a normal mako. Other wise no real cons beside the tape.

Great bat Jamie Stewart-Aday player

Pros: Out of the box it has a great feel and amazing sound. The handle is a bit of an adjustment but it's not a big deal. Ive only taken about a hundred swings in a cage, but it has a unique sound and feels great when you hit it.

Cons: The new model is incredibly expensive. I got the 2015 model which was cheaper, but I wanted a 32 inch bbcor, which was not replaced anywhere once it went out of stock.

Pros: this is a very good bat, probably the best ive owned out of all the eastons. the ball jumps right off the bat. theres a massive sweetspot that just sends the ball. handle is great. some people complain that it turns to much but i think it turns the perfect amount if it even turns at all. as long as you have a proper swing you dont even need to worry about the turning handle

When is the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ -5 going to be available for pre-order? A lot of other sites have it up for pre-order already. Mark

Normally it will be a couple weeks before the product is released. The TORQ will be released the week of September 1st.
Patrick
How much are they going to cost? Brandon
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will retail for $549.99.
Mac
I'm going into high school this year and I was wondering how this bat would compare to my DeMarini CF6. Which is better for a hitter that can hit for both contact and power? P.T.
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) features an extended barrel design and balanced swing weight, so it is the best of both world's for contact and power hitting. The DeMarini CF6 is a great model that features the same two-piece balanced design of the MAKO TORQ, however, it does not feature the extended barrel design or the 360 TORQ rotating handle.
Tessa
Will the TORQ handle wreck your mechanics? Jim
The rotating handle on the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is designed to rotate to keep hands in the proper swing plane and position to prevent rollover which would reinforce good mechanics.
Patrick
I understood this bat to be end loaded like the XL Series. Is this a balanced bat that's good for contact hitters? Matt
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) has an extended barrel for a larger sweet spot, but the TCT Composite material it is made from ensures it still offers a balanced feel. The MAKO TORQ would be great for a contact hitter.
Mac
Do you think this bat could possibly be deemed "illegal" in the future because of the TORQ movement in the handle? wde
We have received no word that the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is in danger of being deemed illegal. It has met BBCOR certification standards and approval processes for high school level play. The TORQ and all other approved models are listed on the NCAA and NFHS BBCOR Approved Baseball Bat list. http://www.mme.wsu-ssl.org/certifiedbaseballbats.aspx
Patrick
Will the rotating handle make it tougher to hit with wood bats because players will be so accustomed to having the rotating handle, and wood does not have it? J dinger
Based on feedback we have received from college players, it appears that hitting mechanics are not weakened by using the Torq handle. If anything, players report squaring up the ball more consistently with their wood bats after using the Torq handle. Preliminary test results support their feedback. Whether the Torq handle actually improves muscle memory has not yet been clinically proven.
Merritt
Besides the handle, what is the difference between this bat and the -3 BBCOR 2015 MAKO that makes it $100 more expensive? Jack
The only real difference between the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) would be that TORQ handle technology. Other than that the performance will be similar.
Patrick
If you would like to re-tape this bat, how would it be possible? Would you re-tape the whole grip or just the rotating handle? Mitch
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will allow for re-taping. Your tape job will be a two part job though. The bottom of the handle with the current black grip will be the rotating part. Tape that, then start again above it at the white grip.
Brandon
How would this bat compare to the XL1? I am a power hitter if this matters. Mo
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will be a very balanced swinging fully composite bat. The technology will be in the rotating handle piece. The XL1 will have the same extended barrel length but will feel much more barrel heavy. It will not have the new rotating handle technology.
Brandon
How is this bat for a power hitter? Does it have a big barrel and sweet spot? mike
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) features a balanced two-piece design that is typically better for contact hitters. Just like the MAKO the MAKO TORQ features an extra long barrel and a massive sweet spot.
Jason
I heard this bat is already being banned from my leagues for play. What are the chances of high school, and college doing the same? ken
We do not have any current indications that the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will be banned. Most league rules are focused more on the barrel of the bat rather than any technology in the handle.
Patrick
How does this bat help players when they have to swing wood? The handles do not rotate anymore. I feel this bat is good for young kids learning to swing but not for a BBCOR design. Your thoughts? ken
The TORQ handle helps develop a habit of keeping the hitter's hands inside the ball. Based on Easton's testing, they indicate they received a lot of feedback from college players. And those players even reported squaring up the ball more consistently when they switched back to wood. Whether the TORQ handle actually improves muscle memory has yet to be clinically proven.
Mac
Is the grip of the bat slick or does it have lots of grip? bbergman22
The grip on the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) has a tacky gauze material grip.
Patrick
What is the difference between this bat and the Easton MAKO? allstar99
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will have a rotating handle piece. The regular MAKO BBCOR will not have this. Everything else will be very much the same.
Brandon
What are the differences between the 2015 Mako Torq and the 2015 Mako? Pat
The main difference between the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK) is the modified TORQ handle. This piece on the handle rotates to allow the wrists and knuckles to stay in proper alignment. The handle rotates to promote a fully extended swing, with the top palm facing up, and the bottom palm facing down. By allowing the wrists to move freely, the MAKO TORQ technology gets the barrel to the zone faster and keeps it in the zone longer, allowing the hitter to square up more pitches, more often with explosive power.
Patrick
I'm 6 feet tall and 182 lbs I bat 3rd or 4 what bat should I get the mako torq or the new easton xl1 baseball crazy
If you are more of a power hitter I would recommend the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT). If you are more of a contact hitter I would recommend the 2015 Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15X1).
Damon
The handle calls into question how long it will last. I am scared that I won't be able to swing with it all season. DroppoToTheOppo
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) has not had issues with the handle breaking so it should last a full season. However, if the bat does become defective, it is covered under Easton's manufacturer's warranty which lasts 12 months from the date of purchase.
Tom
I'm really on the fence about buying this bat. They say it helps your swing and some say it messes your swing up. Can you give me your opinion on those statements? Also, what do you think is better, the regular MAKO or the TORQ? jb
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) does have the rotating handle to help you keep the barrel of the bat in the zone longer for optimum contact. It is brand new for this year. No other brand makes a bat like this. If you do not think you'd like any handle like that, you may just want to stick with the regular 2015 MAKO BBCOR. Both bats have the same balanced swing weights and will feature the same type of composite.
Brandon
Is this bat approved for high school use? Jack
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) does meet the BBCOR certification which is required for high school and collegiate play.
Joe
I'm 20 and play college ball. Does this bat mess up your swing if you use another bat besides the TORQ? ryan
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) features a 360 degree rotating handle that helps you to keep your wrists aligned through the zone. There is a transitional period that will happen between using this bat and another without the rotating handle.
Joe
Do scouts not like players who use this bat? ryan
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is a BBCOR certified model which meets the requirements for high school and collegiate play. Honestly, scouts won't care what model you are using as long as it is approved for play.
Joe
Is the MAKO TORQ handle supposed to be very loose or stiff? By loose I mean can you spin it and it will spin on its own? Ryan
No, the handle of the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is not suppose to spin on its own. If you are experiencing this problem, please contact Easton at 1-888-259-1297.
Liz
Does the MAKO TORQ -3 require a break-in period? If so, what Is the best way to break it in ? Mike
Yes, the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will require a break-in period. We recommend around 150 swings off the tee or soft toss. Make sure you rotate the bat every 15-20 swings to fully break-in the composite fibers throughout the bat.
John
How does this bat compare to the Rawlings VELO and Rawlings TRIO? bob chap
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is a two piece composite bat with a balanced swing weight. The 360 Degree Rotating Handle Technology featured on the TORQ is unlike anything else on the market. The 2015 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRVB) is a one piece alloy bat with a balanced swing weight. The 2015 Rawlings Trio Baseball Bat BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRTTB) is a two piece hybrid bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle and also features a balanced swing weight. The choice is going to come down to your preference on bat structure and material.
Tom
I am a 6 feet tall and I weigh 170 pounds. I broke 8 XL1s last season. Is this the bat for me and how does the handle work? The hulk
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is a great design although I cannot promise that it will be more durable than the XL1 model. The part of the handle where your bottom hand would go rotates slightly to allow your hands and wrists to naturally stay in position to drive the ball and eliminating rollover.
Patrick
Does the handle screw up your swing when you go to another bat? Drew
Using the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) does result in an adjustment period when switching back to a non- rotating bat handle.
Joe
Is it recommended to use this bat to hit the yellow dimpled balls that you would usually find at batting cages? Chris
No, we do not recommend using the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT). We recommend using alloy barrels for dimple balls.
Frankie
I am a layoff contact hitter. Should I go with this bat or the 2015 Voodoo? weazy
A contact style hitter would normally have better results with a balanced model like the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) compared to a more end-loaded model like the 2015 DeMarini Voodoo OVERLORD FT BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC).
Patrick
I am a hard ground ball to a hard line drive hitter. Would this bat work, or what would you recommend? tbirds
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) features a balanced swing weight, which would be a great choice for you. Because of the balanced swing weight, this will allow you to work on bat speed and control. The two-piece design is also ideal because that can create more flex on contact. The additional flex can create more of whipping action, which can bring the head of the bat through the zone quicker. This can create more overall pop off the bat.
Tessa
If I am good with the Easton S1 and the Louisville Slugger 915, will I do well with this bat? Chavsy
You should do just fine with the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT). The main difference will be the 360 degree rotating handle on the bat.
Chinyere
If I were to replace the grip would the handle still rotate? Dweet
You would need to grip the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) the same way it came to maintain that rotation. If you were to replace the handle with a single piece of grip tape instead of cutting it in two, it would more than likely reduce the rotation in the handle. For ideal performance, replace the grip tape exactly how it came originally using Torq grips.
Patrick
Is this bat the same as the regular MAKO except for the rotating handle? Dweet
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will be identical to the MAKO with the only difference being the rotating handle piece.
Jake
Is it composite? Reilly ston
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is a bat made completely of composite materials.
Patrick
I hear a rattling noise inside the bat. What should I do? bennythejet
Normally, a rattle in the bat like the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) will indicate that an excess piece of glue or epoxy used to construct the bat may have come loose and is inside the barrel. This does not affect performance in most cases. If the performance of your bat has been affected, you may want to look into warranty replacement with the manufacturer.
Patrick
How long is shipping? joseph
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT), like all of our bats, comes with standard free shipping that is guaranteed to be delivered within 5 business days. It typically only takes about 2-3 business days though.
Jason
What do I have to do to break in the Mako Torq? Joseph
To break in the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15MKT or any composite bat, we recommend about 150-200 swings starting out at about 50% and working your way up with each swing. Also, be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch so you break in each side of the bat.
Cooper
What do you recommend for breaking in this bat? Carson

I've never seen this new technology on a baseball bat before. Can you make the bat longer and shorter with the TORQ handle? coolkid38
The handle on the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR (BB15MKT) rotates 360 degrees to promote a fully extended swing, with the top palm facing up, and the bottom palm facing down. By allowing the wrists to move freely, the MAKO TORQ technology gets the barrel to the zone faster and keeps it in the zone longer, allowing the hitter to square up more pitches, more often with explosive power. You can not, however, make the bat longer or shorter.
Marcus

Either the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) or the 2015 DeMarini CF7 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) would work well for your style of play. The preference would come down to style or brand preference.

Patrick

The rotation may be affected if you put a different style of grip on the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) as the factory grip is two separate pieces and most aftermarket grips are one-piece. For ideal rotation, you would need to apply the grip separately to the upper and lower portions of the TORQ handle.
Patrick

Is their a specific way to break in the 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15MKT or is it game ready? simon Cognasso
The 2015 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MKT) is a two-piece composite bat and will require break-in. With composite barreled adult baseball bats, you will have to spend some time getting them ready to perform at their peak. Generally composite baseball bats are going to need around 150 to 200 hits on them to start performing up to their potential. When breaking in a composite baseball bat, it is important to start off at about 50% power and gradually increase as your swing count rises. It is also important to rotate the bat about a 1/4 inch on every swing. This ensures that your bat gets evenly broken in.

Based upon your height and weight, our JustBats's Bat Coach would make a general suggestion for a 32" BBCOR bat. I would second that suggestion as well as it seems the 33" model might just be a little too large. If you wanted to view a 32" option of a MAKO TORQ BBCOR model, I would recommend looking at the 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MKT).

My son has had a MAKO bat for over a year now and hits amazing with hit. However, today we noticed at the end of the top it moves and he can actually twist it around. I'm not sure if it was always like that or we just noticed this. Is that suppose to be like that or is bat becoming defective? I thought these bats were suppose to last forever. Help? Thank you! Chris
