Pros: I purchased this bat for my 8yr old son. He plays coach pitch and will be moving on to kid pitch in the fall. I wasn't satisfied with the Mako Jr. he has been using. It has never sounded or hit right. He is making solid contact on a more consistent basis. He hits the ball harder. I did move him from a coach pitch bat 27/15 (which he choked up on one inch) to a kid pitch bat 26/14 (which he now holds all the way down on the knob). Very happy with the results.

really good bat The Kid6 player
Pros: I got this bat and i am hitting the ball way more consistent than i have with any other bat great little league bat
Cons: None
Great bat DT coach
Pros: Everything with this bat.
Cons: None
great bat. puts other bats to shame gogo113 parent
Pros: Great Pop. Well balanced. Durability seems good thus far. Far superior than other well known brands.
Cons: Stings a little if you don't hit it on the sweetspot, as this is a one pc bat.
Light and hot! Dave parent
Pros: My 9 year old started hitting with this bat this past summer and loves it. Because of the -12 ratio he was able to move up to a 29" for more plate coverage. He was leading the team on batting average before we bought this now it's not even close. Constantly has other kids wanting to try it thinking there is something magical about it.
Cons: A little pricey but worth the money.
WOW!!!!!!! Colten player
Pros: Excellent feel, good balance, LOADS OF POP
Cons: None
Fantastic Bat Jason parent
Pros: I brought this bat for my 10year old that plays and he loves it. He's only been hitting with it for about a month now and he uses it the most out of the 3.
Cons: None
Great bat for my 7 year old Ali parent
Pros: He is hitting further and harder. Light weight for him.
Cons: None yet but only had it a couple of weeks.
Coach
Pros: Great bat. Great pop out of the wrapper. Very lightweight. My kids are 8s in Coach Pitch. We are stuck between JBB bats and legit youth bats. This gives us the lightweight drop -12 of a Jr. Big Barrel, but the pop of a youth bat. Several kids on the team have been using it and it doesn't disappoint. Well worth the $170 I spent on it. I literally hit a Home Run on this bat purchase!!
Cons: Nothing really. I guess I'd say the 2 5/8" barrel isn't terribly long and it starts to taper quickly. But doesn't seem to keep kids from finding the sweet spot.
GREAT BAT RYAN parent
Pros: Great pop right out of the box. My 8 yr old has the S1 & the 10 oz drop was a little difficult to get through the zone. The 12 oz drop has made a world of difference. He is hitting line shots, & almost every kid on his league team is using it as well as some of his travel ball team mates. In my opinion this is a great bat. Great buy for the 7-10 yr old who isn't getting the other bats through the zone.
Cons: None so far, will review again if any occur.
9U travel J.A.K. parent
Pros: Good balance with 2 5/8 barrel while still maintaining bat speed. Multiple base hits during first weekend of use.
Cons: May need to break in first.
Great bat Skaminator coach
Pros: First big barrel bat we have had so I don't have much to compare but it does seem to have good pop and a great balanced feel. Moved up from a 28-15 2 1/4 to this in a 29/17. My son is 8 and weighs 60 pounds, might be slightly too heavy for him but he chokes up just a little, should be able to use for another year or 2 as long as it lasts. The more it gets used the hotter it gets. Big sweet spot. There are only 2 drop -12s in 2 5/8 and the other is the catalyst and every single person i talked to said this is much better. 2 other kids bought the same bat in different sizes.
Cons: Vibration at times, but its a one piece bat so you will get that. I just tell my son to hit it on the barrel and it won't vibrate.
Nice pop out of the box. Dave parent
Pros: My son had an omaha drop 10 bat but he just couldn't swing it fast enough bc of his size. This bat is a drop 12 and balanced very good, his bat speed is way up and kills the ball when he hits it. It's not even broke in yet and the ball fly's of the bat. I didn't know much about combat bats but this bat is great.
Cons: My son says there is some vibration if it is not a clean hit but I can only remember one hit near the handle when he shook his hands like ouch.
My Friend's New Bat I am GROOT!! player
Pros: The bat is extremely awesome and the ball explodes off the bat!! The length to weight ratio (-12) is very rare for a senior league baseball bat. I have gotten a lot of great hits with this bat!! Excellent feel when hitting the ball. Durability is unmatched, after people on my team have thrown the bats around the dugout and knocked it over. Also, no dents in the bat after 16 games with it. Having lizard skin grip just adds to the what a great job combat has done on the Portent G3!!
Cons: Zings your hands when hit on end of bat, but all bats have that.
Combat Portent G3 Senior League Baseball Bat Stephanie parent
Pros: Got this for my 12 yr old son after he broke his last Combat during a weekend tournament after having the bat for 3 yrs. He loves this one as much as he did the old one. Cool colors and all the boys on his team want to use it. For sure we got what we were expecting and can't wait to go through the summer and the next few years with it.
Cons: The brand holds up real well so I am hoping the Durability of this one is a 5 star also but since he has only had it two weeks I can't really say.
questionable coachray parent
Pros: It is lighter being a drop 12 and will help with bat speed, and the lizard skin offers the most grip of any bat tape available, seems to have decent sized "sweet spot"
Cons: Bad seems dead, even after apporx 300 hits from myself and my daughter and other kids on her travel baseball team the bat dosent seem to be as hot as her rawlings 5150 or the easton mako. The bat does have considerable vibration if not hit in the sweet spot. Hopefully some of this will be corrected as it breaks in further but after buckets and buckets of pitched balls, tee work, batting practice, hitting flyballs during practice it should be broken in by now.
WOW!!! connor mcg player
Pros: im eleven and was swinging a 30/20 5150 rawlings my dad got me this and i started consistantly bouncing balls off the wall on 210 too 225 ft fields great pop one team even wanted it checked
Cons: stings a littlr
Great Bat Coach B coach
Pros: Balanced, great pop right out of the wrapper, good sized barrel. Saw instant improvement in contact rate. Hitters confidence also got a big boost. Others on the team converting from other brands to COMBAT!
Cons: None. Wish I had bought one sooner.
2015 Combat Portent G3 Scott Edmondson coach
Pros: This bat is worth the money at regular price or on sale. My child plays up on a travel ball team against kids two years older than him. I forced him to swing an Easton -13 with a 2-1/4 barrel in order to have the bat speed needed to handle older pitchers. The G3 came in the same length as what he was using and was a -12 meaning he never noticed picking up one ounce of extra weight but he did notice he has a 2-5/8 barrel now. First time we went out he hit nearly every ball 30-40 ft further than with Easton S3. He will be hitting Combat from now on, i assure you; these bats are in another league.
Cons: I might like to see a little thicker grip closer to knob, but nothing that extra wrap couldn't solve. biggest con, other kids will want to hit this bat and they are delicate. Combat even says only use these bats in games and to practice with other bats. Personally I want my child to wear this bat out, not the entire roster! Be prepared to tell some dads to shop at JustBats.com
great bat ultilab parent
Pros: my son is current on the #1 team in our state (8U) He has been using the Easton S1 but not being a power hitter, the 2 piece design seems to dud out a lot of his hits. The Combat 1 piece design seems to allow for more pop, right out of the box. Even some of the power hitters are now using this bat in the tournaments with much longer distance on their hits. We use the S1 now for rec league as big barrels are not allowed. I was worried about sting, but he has never once complained about a sting and says the bat feels great when he hits with it. other boys on our travel team are now being their parents for this bat.
Cons: none yet. I gave 5 stars on durability because I had to click on one, but we probably only have about 1,000 hits on it in 2 weeks.
Home Run Proud Dad parent
Pros: This bat is awesome! My son is 8 yrs old and is on the smaller side. He just moved up to Pony mustang and needed a bat that could give him increased bat speed and get a little more distance. Well this bat is just what he needed. He is now getting triples and doubles! Dad tried it out during break in period and with little effort was crushing it past the outer wall. This bat is a no-brainer!
Cons: None so far
Home Run!! SR hawaii parent
Pros: Bought for my 8 yr old son. The bat is light and makes great contact with the ball because of the big barrel. Great for kids who need the lighter weight but want to hit the ball a good distance. I tried a few swings off the tee and can really hit far with this bat.
Cons: The 2 5/8 barrel was not legal for Babe Ruth. Check your leagues rules before you buy.
combat G3 31/19 pbscottk coach
Pros: great pop, huge sweet spot. my 10 year old hit 2 home runs with this bat. great bat.
Cons: none that I can come up.
steve thomas parent
Pros: My 8yr old plays travel ball and wz in a hitting slump. I bought the Combat, and since hit three homers one a grandslam!!, two tripels, and many more singels!! Highly recommend this as a BUY!!!!

lasted 3 months! Brian M parent
Pros: very nice feel and pop!
Cons: my 10yr old son busted this bat and had to have a replacement sent. not gonna use the replacement bat because were agraid of busting this one! were gonna try to sell it and fet whatoney back we can, while we can!
not worth the money john m parent
Pros: light weight
Cons: No pop. My son got a few singles and one double with this bat. Coming off the last season with 3 homers a few triples and a few doubles with a Louisville Omaha bat that cost half as much. Save the money!
I'm Batman! Valleye parent
Pros: i coach my son at 9U travel and have tried 3 bats the past 2 seasons, Louisville's Catalyst, then the Demarini Overlord. Both in the 2 1/4. He liked those two for the weight. My son is shorter than his teammates but has an aggressive swing so the weight worked to his advantage. The Combat with its larger diameter enlarges the sweet spot but the weight doesn't take anything away from his aggressive fast swing motion. He's been hitting better, especially when you hear it hit from the sweet spot. You know the ball jumps off the bat. Most of all he lives the bat, and so do his teammates!
Cons: Little vibration but negligible to my son.
Instant Results Snake parent
Pros: Light swing weight helps improve bat speed and control. Great Lizard Skin grip. My 10u son had been struggling with hitting the ball into the ground with a bat that was too heavy, this bat has improved his swing speed and also allowed him to change his bat plane so that he meets the ball for more line drives.
Cons: None yet
Great Bat NCCY parent
Pros: Good pop and durability.
Cons: None. I saw vibration on an inside pitch as an issue one time over a seven game travel ball season.
Great bat Chris parent
Pros: Light great pop my 6 year old is using the 26/14 and seeing great results I will buy more combat bats in the future
Cons: None
