Pros: Our 10U girls are buying these left and right! Best bat for under $100. I carry a 30" to my batting lessons for younger girls still throwing aluminum to feel the pop of composite at -13. Got this years Mendoza (blue grip) for less than last years closeouts as Slugger changed their pricing on these! Way to go !
Cons: One piece bat doesn't have the whip of a two piece bat but at half the price who cares.
Pros: Looks nice & light weight. Easy to swing with.
Cons: When my daughter hits outside on a cool day. It hurts her hands with the vibation. She chock up on the bat & still hurts. We have another girl sbrought the same bat & doing the same things. But it's fine when hitting in a softball cages. I think the cold softball & cold bat is the problem. But we are in New England & this is a huge problem for us.

How is this "composite" different than your more expensive composites? Seems like the really expensive composites are -9, -10 or -11. The -13's seem cheaper making me think they are a different composite type, kind of like buying an HDTV, is it 1080 or 720. How is this "composite" similar or different than your $200-$300 bat. Is there a good rule of thumb when looking at composite bats to let one know this? Seems all manufacturers have their own technology but no industry standard.

The C1C composite in the 2014 Louisville Slugger Mendoza Fastpitch (FPMD14-RR) will not be Slugger's top of the line material. The LS-2X (Xeno) & Pure 360 (LXT) composite will be their highest quality. With bats you really get what you pay for. The higher priced composite bats will get you better durability and better performance over a longer period of time.
