Description

***If within 30 days of the purchase the consumer is not completely satisfied with the performance of their TRU3 Bat, they are able to return it to the retailer from which the purchase was made or directly to Louisville Slugger for a full refund of the documented retail price paid.*** It's time to step up and attack the diamond, because multi-piece composite bats just changed forever! Louisville Slugger proudly introduces their new Tru3 3-piece construction composite bat suitably named the Attack. This revolutionary new transition technology strengthens the link between the barrel and handle and gives it a dramatically reduced vibration on contact. Rather than thicken the walls of our bats, Louisville Slugger inserted a 1"wide graphite band which gives the bat one of the lowest swing weights in the game. Vibration from mishits are absorbed before they reach the player's hands, allowing players to be more consistent with their hitting. The Attack is constructed from Louisville Slugger's Pure 360 Composite that uses thinner, high-strength and lightweight graphite fibers to add more layers in the handle and transition for added strength, while reducing overall wall thickness. More pop, less weight: that's the formula for better performance AND durability. With a balanced swing weight and an easy to grip 31/32 inch handle, this bat will have hitters ATTACKING the strike zone like never before! Louisville Slugger: Be the Best, or Swing the Rest! The Attack features the new USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp and is approved for play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Super Hot 1bigkid coach

Pros: Very easy to break in. 500+ tee hits and not one mark on the bat. Super pop super hot. Great balance and a very nice grip. Absolutely no sting. You can't even feel the ball, it just smashes it.

Cons: Seems very thin for performance not sure how it's going to hold up. The price. The camo pattern. It could have been all red or white and it would have looked better.

Louisville Slugger attack Lenard parent

Pros: Felt great; excellent grip; no vibration. Son said this was the best feeling bat he's ever had.

Cons: No pop. My son tried this on the 30 day money back guarantee. He definitely was not getting as much pop as with the DeMarini that he previously had. We'll be returning the bat.

I have a 10 year old plays a lot of traveling ball. I don't know what bat to go with. Should I get this one or the Easton S1? Oz
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack: SLAT14-RR Senior League and the Easton S1 will be comparable. Both will be balanced with a light swing weight. Either bat would be a good choice.

Is the 2014 Senior Attack expected to be more durable that the 2013 model? I heard of quite a few cracking or breaking soon after they were purchased. Granted, there is a protective 12 month warranty, but don't want to go through the trouble if possible. This bat looks HOT! The Beast
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack (SLAT14-RR) uses new 360 composite for improved durability and performance.

Compare this to the CF6 DeMarini. Frank
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack (SLAT14-RR Senior League) will feature a new Tru3 composite design. The handle and the barrel will be made of all composite like the DeMarini CF6. It will also be very balanced like the CF6. High swing speeds will be reached with both bats. Both bats should eliminate much of the vibration and dampen the hand sting on mishits.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
