Pros:  My son plays 11u elite ball he is about 5'4" and weight 130lbs, I bought him the 32/23 Mako and he loves it. The first batting practice he used it he hit one off the fence and one over the fence. All the kids on the team were checking out the bat after practice.

Cons:  None yet, just used it for one practice so far.

Pros:  Low MOI, longer barrel. My nephew's 31 - 22 feels lighter than his CF5 30 - 20. Everyone that tries it, loves it.

Cons:  Price, availability.

Which bat has a larger sweet spot? This model, or the COMBAT Wanted (-8)?

Both models are going to have very solid sweet spots. However, the 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14MK9) will incorporate a slightly larger sweet spot on the barrel. The sweet spot, as well as the balanced weight distribution, is what the 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat: (SL14MK9) is primarily known for. Therefore, this model would be an exceptional option to take a closer look at.

I am 13, 5'2", and weigh 100 pounds. I am a power hitter and play 13u travel baseball. What is the best bat for me?

The 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14MK9) is a great option to check out since it is the best of both worlds for contact and power hitting. It does feature a balanced swing weight, which is generally preferred by contact hitters, however it also features an extended barrel design, which is normally only seen in end loaded bats. If you are looking for a great end loaded option, the XL1 is another high performance model from Easton to look at.

Trying to compare this model vs. the XL1. What are your thoughts on the differences between and sizing? I need a Little League bat (no big barrel). Son is 9, 4'7" and weighs 70 lbs. Used a 28" 18 oz. big barrel Omaha last year, but need a Little League bat this year.

The 2014 Easton MAKO Senior League Baseball Bat (SL14MK9) and the Easton XL1 are similar in a sense that they both feature a two-piece fully composite design and extended barrel. The main difference between the two is that the MAKO features a balanced swing weight, which is the same as the Omaha your son used previously, and the XL1 is end loaded. An end loaded swing weight is generally preferred by power hitters. Depending on your son's hitting style, the MAKO or the XL1 would be great choices to go with. Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 29" Youth bat.
