Description

There are 3 constants when it comes to slow pitch players and their bats. They want a bat that's hot out of the wrapper, they're always looking for the next best thing, and they prefer either a balanced or end-loaded design. Raw Power is Easton's answer. The Raw Power line features the B-Series that offers evenly balanced designs for controlled power, and the L-Series that offers end-loaded designs for absolute maximum power. Part of the L-Series, the L3.0 has a specific end-load weight called out at the end of its 12 inch barrel: 26oz = 1oz load, 27oz = 2oz load, 28oz = 3oz load, 30oz = 4oz load. The barrel is constructed from Easton's trademark IMX Composite for an optimal sweet spot and maximum performance, while SIC Black Carbon is added to the handle to make this the BEST feeling composite bat you'll EVER swing. This handle is wrapped with an ultra-thin gauze grip that is perfect for players that like tack without the bulkiness of many modern grips. The time is now to bring Raw Power to YOUR game. Easton: Engineered for Glory! The L3.0 is approved for ASA play only. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

WOW!!! Steve player

Pros: Bought this bat hoping it would be similar to the L1.0 I swung last year, and I was not disappointed. I took the wrapper off last night before my first game. From the first swing this bat is money. It crushes the 52/300 balls. If you need an ASA bat this is a great choice.

Cons: The Price, but you get what you pay for.

save some money ryan player

Pros: i did some research before making a purchase and found that the l6 series is 199 and still has great power out of the wrapper. bought mine at 2pm played with it at 8 and hit a homer 300+ and another guy had 2 that went 310-315 easy. save yourself 100 bucks and get the L6 end loaded by easton.

Cons: none

Great power hitter's bat- strong end weighting Rob player

Pros: This is a great power hitter's bat if you can get it through the zone with speed. The end load can really be felt- my 27 feels like a 28. really drives the ball, hits both 44s and 52s well. Needs to be broken in to get full power, but 200 hits should do it.

Cons: Handle is a bit thin for me, so I put some tape on it, and it's fine.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP14L3? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I cannot find this bat on Easton's website. Is it exclusive to Justbats? Also will you have the L4.0 when its available in April? Charlie
The 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3) Slow Pitch is not exclusive to justbats.com. Yes, we will have the L4.0 in April.
Aaron
When will you have 30 oz. sizes of the L3.0? Cody
The 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3) is not made in a 30 oz. The largest size available is a 28 oz.
Kara
How does the new L3.0 compare to the DeMarini higher end models? Also, torn between the L3.0 & B3.0. I know balanced vs end load, but is there a substantial difference in the pop between them? Rob C
There is not a substantial difference in pop between the B-Series and L-Series on the Easton bats. The faster your swing speed can be the farther the ball will travel. The 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3 Slow Pitch) will resemble the DeMarini J3 1.20 (DXNTU Slow Pitch) or the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3 Slow Pitch). The two-piece fully composite designs and slight end load will make for a very high performance.
Brandon
I use to swing the Stealth Tri-Zone, how does the new L3.0 compare? Is the endload similar? If not, is thre another bat that is similar to the Tri-Zone? Dre
The end load of this 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3) Slow Pitch bat is more pronounced than the Brett Helmer Stealth Tri-Zone models. With the new Raw Power lineup, the end load increases as you go up in size. In Easton's product line, this L3.0 would be the most similar to the Stealth Tri-Zone models, aside from the end load.
Mac
Is there a difference between the Easton L3.0 and the B3.0? Lucas
Both the 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3) and B3.0 Slow Pitch softball bats are two-piece composite models that are approved for play in ASA, but they offer different length barrels and different swing weights. The B3.0 offers a 13.5" barrel length and is very balanced. The balanced swing weight is easier to control and allows the player to reach higher swing speeds. The L3.0 features a 12" barrel length and an end loaded swing weight that is typically preferred by a power hitter.
Mac
What Easton bat would be the same or about the same as the old gray and orange Easton Stealth COMP? Mike
The 2014 Easton B3.0 (SP14B3) Slow Pitch bat would be the most comparable model in Easton's product line to the Easton Stealth COMP CNT Softball Bat (SCN5) Slow Pitch bat. Both bats feature balanced swing weights, two-piece fully composite designs, and are ASA certified. The main difference would be the upgrade made to the composite handle of the B3.0 and the fact that the Stealth was certified for both ASA and USSSA play. This 2014 Easton L3.0 (SP14L3) Slow Pitch bat has an end loaded swing weight and smaller barrel length than either of the other two models.
Mac
Does this bat have CNT? Is CNT in the barrel, or just the handle for the older Eastons? Dave
The Carbon Nanotube Technology would have been found in the handles of those models. But it's actually been replaced in Easton's bat lineup by the SIC Black Carbon Composite that you'll find in the handle of the 2014 Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3). The L3.0 features the IMX Composite in its barrel.
Mac
I currently have an Easton (SSR4) Stealth Speed XL. Would you say this bat is similar to the new L3.0? kg
This 2014 Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3) will have a shorter barrel (12" vs. 13.5") and offers a heavier end load than the (SSR4). Based on swing weight and barrel size, that Stealth model would be between the L3.0 and the B3.0. Both the L3.0 and B3.0 would feature an upgraded composite in their handle (SIC Black Carbon Composite) when compared to the Stealth Speed XL.
Mac
What is the speed rating the ball comes off the bat? I think my league has a maximum of 98 MPH. Sparky4706
All ASA certified slow pitch bats will still be certified at a 98 MPH ball exit speed in their performance certification test, even after the changes made to the test for last year's bat line. This 2014 Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3) should be approved for your league if that is the cutoff, but I would still double-check with a league director to see if they can provide an approved bat list or give you the OK to use this model.
Mac
What is the difference between the Easton L3.0 and the Easton L4.0 besides the L4.0 being a Players Model? OneZero
The 2014 Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3) has a two-piece construction using Easton's Connexion Technology and the 2014 Easton L4.0 Brett Helmer Pro Model Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L4) is a one-piece single system composite design.
Tom
What is the BPF for this bat? One ounce
Because this Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3) is only approved for ASA play, a BPF rating is not provided like it is for USSSA play. The USSSA regulation still permits a little more performance than ASA models, so it should meet that BPF standard. However, most leagues that require a BPF 1.20 rating will not allow the use of any bat that doesn't have that USSSA crest.
Mac
Which is better Easton L3.0 or Easton L6.0 pacman
Both bats are composite with the main difference being the Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3) is a two-piece bat, and the L6.0 is a one-piece bat. The L6.0 is going to feel a little more stiff than the L3.0, and probably be preferred by power hitters, while the L3.0 may be preferred by contact hitters. Each bat is preferred by different players, so one isn't necessarily better than the other.
Chinyere
Is this bat able to be used with .44 core balls? Todd
It is not recommended to use the Easton L3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14L3) with .44 core core softballs. It is designed to work better in terms of durability with the .52 core 300 compression balls. The harder .44 core balls can cause damage to the bat.
