Description

There are 3 constants when it comes to slow pitch players and their bats. They want a bat that's hot out of the wrapper, they're always looking for the next best thing, and they prefer either a balanced or end-loaded design. Raw Power is Easton's answer. The Raw Power line features the B-Series that offers evenly balanced designs for controlled power, and the L-Series that offers end-loaded designs for absolute maximum power. Part of the B-Series, the B3.0 has a longer 13.5 inch evenly balanced barrel for a controlled, yet powerful swing. The B3.0 features Easton's patented two-piece ConneXion technology that holds together this fully composite design. The barrel is constructed from Easton's trademark IMX Composite for an optimal sweet spot and maximum performance, while SIC Black Carbon is added to the handle to create the BEST feeling composite bat you'll EVER swing. This handle is wrapped with an ultra-thin gauze grip that is perfect for players that like tack without the bulkiness of many modern grips. The time is now to bring Raw Power to YOUR game. Easton: Engineered for Glory! The B3.0 features the new ASA stamp and is approved for play in ASA and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Solid bat Boomer player

Pros: I upgraded from my 2012 model of this bat and have to say it feels exactly the same in my hand. I got this one as Easton claimed it would hit the new ASA balls better than my old bat. Great pop, good balance for spreading the ball all over the field with ease. Once broke in, the balls just fly off the bat. Will hit well out of the wrapper but is much better broke in. The two piece construction is a dream to swing. You will never feel sting again. Has some good flex overall.

Cons: I have to say, I do not see much difference in performance over the 2012 model but I'm glad it feels the same. The bat does take quite a bit to break in to the sweet point. My estimate is about 400 balls. I wonder if the one piece version hits the softer compression balls any better.

Very hot! B-Rye player

Pros: Very comfortable, no sting at all, and hot out of the wrapper. Almost no break in time whatsoever. Great bat! I even found shoes that match the graphics!

Cons: Only problem is that everyone wants to use it.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton B3.0 ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP14B3? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How comparable is this bat compared to the SSR4? Reading a few descriptions, this is the new Stealth, but the SSR4 was slightly end loaded as this is a balanced bat. D
The 2014 Easton L1.0 (SP14L1) is slightly end loaded. It is also a two-piece composite bat like the Easton Stealth. The 2014 Easton B3.0 (SP14B3) is the balanced version.
Kara
I cracked my Easton Synergy Flex ASA bat last night. I loved it and it had great home run power. Is the B3.0 the bat I should get to replace my Synergy? cracked
The 2014 Easton B3.0: (SP14B3) is a new release from Easton, and is made with high quality materials. This model is part of the raw power series and has new technology to help boost its power and performance. The composite construction will also provide a bigger sweet spot, and will help provide good control. Overall, I think this would be an excellent choice to go with.

What are the differences between the SP14B3 and the SP13B3? JohnnyB510
The 2014 Easton B3.0 (SP14B3) and the SP13B3 both use the same composite materials. They are both balanced two-piece bats. The only difference is the graphics.
Kara
I have the Easton S2. How does this bat compare to it? mike
The 2014 Easton B3.0 (SP14B3) will be similar to the 2013 Easton S2 (SP13S2) but the Easton S2 is a one-piece design and will have a stiffer swing. The Easton S2 will be more comparable to the 2014 Easton B4.0 (SP14B4).

Would you recommend this bat for use with .44 COR 375 balls? Will its durability be compromised? Don
The 2014 Easton B3.0 (SP14B3) is an ASA model. All the new ASA models are designed for the .52 COR balls. It will hit the .44 COR balls well, but durability will be compromised.
Justin R.
Is this bat the exact same as the Stealth line-up? I had a Stealth Speed XL (SSR2) and want to buy something as close to it as possible. I didn't know if it was the B3.0 or L3.0. Brad
The most similar bat in Easton's current slow pitch lineup would be this 2014 Easton B3.0: (SP14B3) Slow Pitch bat. Although the SSR2 had an extended sweet spot, it still offered a balanced swing weight like the B3.0. Between models, Easton has improved the composite material that composes the bat's handle, and this provides a stiffer flex for more efficient energy transfer.
Mac
WHAT ARE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SP14B3 AND SP14B4? DUTCH
The main difference between the 2014 Easton B3.0 (SP14B3) and the 2014 Easton B4.0 (SP14B4) would be the design. The B3.0 is a two-piece design that will offer more flex while the B4.0 is a one-piece design that will be stiffer.
Patrick
How does this bat compare to the Stealth model (SP12ST98)? Mark
The 2014 Easton B3.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14B3) is essentially the same bat as the (SP12ST98), but the B3.0 is optimized to hit the newer .52 COR, 300 Compression softballs that ASA now uses. Also, the B3.0 is only approved for play in ASA and ISF while the Stealth model was approved by all major organizations. If you liked the Stealth, the B3.0 would be a great choice.
Mac
What is the difference between a flexed bat or a stiff one? Chino
The Easton B3.0 ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14B3) features a two piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight. The two-piece design offers additional flex through the zone, which typically translates to faster bat speeds as well as decreased vibration. The Easton B4.0 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP14B4) features a one piece full composite design with a balanced swing weight. The one piece model is much stiffer through the zone.
Joe
What is the difference between the B3.0, B4.0, and LX.0? chandler
The Easton B3.0 ASA (SP14B3) is a two-piece composite design with a balanced swing weight. The Easton B4.0 ASA (SP14B4) is a one-piece composite design with a balanced swing weight.
