ASA Juggy SilverSlugger7 player

Pros: Feels very similar to the 2013 J3A. Only difference seems to be that the Juggy seems slightly stiffer. The Juggy will be my ASA co-gamer to go along with the J3A.

Cons: Not really a con, but I advise swinging this bat with 52/300 balls or there could be durability issues like the J3A.

Demarini Juggy dont buy Brandyn Schluter player

Pros: this bat is hot right out of the wrapper

Cons: I'm very disappointed with this bat i purchased through Demarini sports. I've gone through 2 of these in the past month 1/2. I had my 1st one for 2 weeks before it cracked right into the sweet spot. After i got the warranty replacement one, 2 games later, all above 80 degree weather with rotation of the barrel each swing, cracked again right on the sweet spot! very disappointed in this run of bats.

I'm the juggernaut! AJ Hyatt player

Pros: Hit an opposite field homer on my 2nd at bat and then another homer to right center during my 4th at bat. Bat is very hot out the wrapper. I flew out on my very first at bat with the Juggy, but it felt really good (I just missed hitting a homer during my very first at bat with it). -Nice grip -I've always like DeMarinis and the Juggernauts never disappoint.

Cons: -I wish the bat came in different colors. -Everyone wanted to use my bat after I dropped my first bomb :(

All the reviews are positive...FOR A REASON 4xtra player

Pros: This bat is nice...... I usually swing Easton's, Miken's and Worth's but a guy on my team talked me into swinging this bat and this bat is HOT... When you hit the ball it has a slight flex that is just enough to take the sting of the swing. I hit 44/375's to the opposite side 350+ with this bat...and this bat had less than 100 hits on it... hot out the wrapper This is my NEW gamer

Cons: none so far and from what I have told they are pretty durable as long you do not swing composites in the cold

Pros: Great bat! Really opens up after about one batting practice. Has amazing pop. Im 6ft tall and only about 135 so im a skinny guy but I already hit 1 over and I've only had it about two week. This is definitely the best bat ive ever swung and the grafics are awesome. I will continue to buy Demarini

Cons: its only ASA approved so I can't use it in NSA/USSSA tournament ball. Its hot enough to but they won't allow it

Pros: Ive had 3 juggys now, and this one has ridiculous pop, never been much of a homerun hitter before this bat, now I got guys thinking im swinging a dirty bat because of how sick this bat is.

Cons: Unlike the OG juggy, my bat cracked not long after getting it. I sent it in and got my replacement, and that ones starting to crack as well.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat: DXNT3? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What kind of balls can you hit with this bat? Can you use .44 375, or does it have to be .52 300? hawaiian808
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) Slow Pitch bat features the new ASA stamp and is designed to hit the .52 COR, 300 Compression softballs. Bats certified under the new testing will be more susceptible to cracks or dents if used with the higher compression softballs (.44 or .47 COR, 375 or 400 Compression). You will still hit those softballs well, but you will be compromising durability.
Mac
What balls can you use with this bat? hawaiian808
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) Slow Pitch bat has the new ASA stamp which is designed to hit .52 core 325 compression balls.
Damon
Is this USSSA approved? BC33
No, the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) is approved for play in ASA only.
Tessa
Is this end loaded or balanced? Different websites say different things! rwg19
DeMarini lists the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) Slow Pitch bat as having an "end-loaded triple wall barrel". However, many of us believe you'll find that the bat feels lighter than many end loaded options. It's tough to say if you'd like the swing weight, so feel free to take advantage of our free UPS return label if it turned out to be too light: https://www.justbats.com/returns/
Mac
Which bat will hit the 52/300 ball better? The new DeMarini Juggy, or the new DeMarini The ONE all associations bat. demarini user
Both the 2014 DeMarini The ONE and the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3 Slow Pitch) will be able to crush the 52/300 balls.
Brandon
Is the end loaded weight the same on the 26oz and the 27oz? And also any idea how many oz is on the end load? David
The 26 oz. and the 27 oz. will have the same weight distribution. With that being said, DeMarini lists the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) Slow Pitch bat as having an "end-loaded triple wall barrel". However, many believe that the bat feels lighter than many end loaded options. Unfortunately I do not have the exact end-load weight since this bat is considered end-loaded by some and balanced by others.
Kelby
Is the Juggernaut better than the Miken Psycho Supermax? How about for ISA rules? The Miken compression tested at 1750 psi, what would the Juggernaut test at? Do they need to be broken in as well? T DIAMOND
Both of these bats are going to be high performing. The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut (DXNT3) is not approved for ISA play, while the Miken Izzy Psycho Supermax (SPSYMU) is approved for ISA play. For compression testing, that information is not relayed to us by the manufacturer. Both bats are made of composite materials, so they will need to be broken in. We recommend 150-200 swings off a tee or soft toss.
Kyle J.
Just be honest with me. Which is the hottest bat? The J3 or Z-3000? jj torres
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3 Slow Pitch) will be a two-piece fully composite design. The Louisville Slugger Z-3000 will feature the same design. They will both be balanced. Both are getting great reviews and should provide excellent results.
Brandon
What is the difference comparing the 27 oz. and 28 oz. besides the 1 oz.? Is the bat balanced or end loaded? Rob
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) is a balanced bat. The only difference in the 27 oz. and 28 oz. is the one ounce.
Kara
It says it's a multi-wall, is it a double wall? V
The 2014 Demarini Juggernaut (DXNT3) is made with stacked composite technology. So the barrel has layers of composite but is not technically double walled.
Bobby
I would like to know if this bat is better than The ONE? jj torres
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Softball Bat (DXNT3) and the 2014 DeMarini The ONE: (DXONE) are both very high performing bats. The DXONE is a stiffer bat and is end loaded, better for a power hitter. The DXNT3 is more balanced and best for a contact hitter.
Kara
Which one would hit the 44core 370 compression ball the Juggernaut or Aftermath? Heavy 21
Both the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) and the 2014 DeMarini Flipper Aftermath ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXFLS-V14) feature the new ASA stamp, which means that they are meant for use with the softer 52 COR balls. They will do well with the harder 44 COR 370 compression balls, however, durability will be compromised. Bats that have the 2004 ASA stamps will be able hold up best with the harder 44 COR balls, since they were tested for use against the them.
Tessa
Do I need to break it in? If so how? mike
We would recommend a brief break-in period for the 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) of about 50-100 swings while rotating the barrel of the bat a quarter turn each hit.
Patrick
How does this bat compare to the Stadium CL22 for ASA? Warden
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) and the 2014 DeMarini Stadium CL22 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXST2-V14) are very similar to each other, since they both feature a two-piece design and end loaded swing weight. Main differences between the two are that the CL22 is a hybrid bat, where it has an alloy handle and composite barrel. It also features an extremely end loaded swing weight and has a stiffer overall feel than the Juggy. The Juggernaut is a fully composite bat that features multi-wall technology. Both are high performance models and would be great options for a power hitter.
Tessa
Can this bat be used in NSA, USSSA, and USFA? just asking
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) will only be ASA approved. The USFA requires the ASA stamp so the Juggernaut will be allowed. It will not be approved in USSSA or NSA play.
John
Is this bat NSA approved? How would it perform with "tattoo" slow pitch softballs? nick
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) is only ASA approved. We are unfamiliar with what a Tattoo softball is currently. It would perform the best versus a .52 core softball.
Brandon
Can this bat a 52 core 275 compression ball or just the 52 core 300 compression ball? germantownvol
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) should be fine to use with both styles of ball.
Patrick
What is the BPF rating? snasoftball
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) is an ASA model, so we unfortunately wouldn't have a BPF rating for this model, as the BPF test regulates USSSA and Senior Softball models. DeMarini may be able to give you a more precise number, and you can contact them directly at: (800) 937-2287.
Mac
Is the DeMarini Juggernaut or the DeMarini Flipper Aftermath better for a contact hitter? I'm not a big guy, so I don't plan on smashing many homeruns. GAboy
The 2014 DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) would be a better option. It will have a balanced feel and lighter swing weight compared to the Flipper Aftermath.
Brandon
If I have a 27 oz. DeMarini Aftermath, should I get a 27 oz. Juggy? I was told the Juggy is pretty end loaded, but I'm debating between a 26 or a 27. cslugger
Based on my experience with both bats, I would push you toward the 27 oz. model of the Juggernaut, as well. The most noticeable difference in the designs to me would be that the Flipper Aftermath has a slightly longer barrel, but the Juggy offers more flex/whip in your swing.
Mac
I am currently using the 2013 Easton XL2, but am looking for a new bat with more pop. How does this Juggy compare to the Easton? Catcar1622
The DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) will have a more balanced swing-weight than the Easton XL2 Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP13X2) that you are currently using. Additionally, with the two-piece design you will typically experience faster bat speeds versus the one piece design of the XL2. Also, the Juggernaut is only approved for ASA play, while the XL2 was dual stamped.
Joe
I currently use an Easton Salvo for my USSSA league and I'm wondering if this bat will have the same balanced feel to it for ASA? Anthony
The DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) will feature an end-loaded swing weight similar to the 2015 Easton Salvo Comp Loaded USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP15SVU). If you were looking for a balanced Salvo approved for ASA, you could definitely consider the 2015 Easton Salvo Balanced ASA/USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SP15SVAU).
Joe
Is this bat balanced or end loaded? Ant
The DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) is an end loaded bat.
Allison
My league is banning requiring the use of single wall bats only. Is this Juggernaut a single or double wall bat? Ron
Due to the composite material of the DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3), some leagues may consider it a multi-wall bat. The layers of composite material and the Stacked Composite Technology essentially make the bat a double wall design.
Patrick
Does the bat swing lighter than the stamped weight? I've heard it feels more balanced than end loaded. JRice
The DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) will have a more balanced feel to the swing weight. It will swing very true to the weight you select.
Brandon
How does this bat compare the 2015 asa miken psycho end load? I'm a fast swinger and use a 30 oz. model with an endload. Which would be better for me? luker
The DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) will feature a two-piece full composite design. Additionally, it offers a balanced swing weight when compared to any end-loaded Miken model. If you like the end-loaded design of the Miken model, you will likely not like the Juggernaut.
Joe
Does the 26oz have a thinner wall than the 27oz? Will this affect durability? JRice
No, the 26 oz DeMarini Juggernaut (DXNT3) does not have a thinner wall than the 27 oz model.
John H
What is the difference between the 2015 and 2014 models other than color? shinton
The DeMarini Juggernaut Slow Pitch Softball Bat (DXNT3) and the 2015 Juggernaut are the same bat. The only difference is the cosmetic appearance.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
