Pros:  My 13yr old daughter is in her 1st year but is working hard and improving so I decided to reward her with a good bat to replace her cheapo. 1st batting practice and the difference is crazy. The ball flies off this bat, even for a kid with very little coaching and still needing plenty work on her mechanics. She hit some hard line drives and blasted one ball probably twice as far as anything she's hit yet. The Demarini cf6 is a real difference maker!

Cons:  NONE!

Pros:  Great pop. My 13 year old daughter hasn't totally gotten used to the bat yet but she is hitting this bat great and loves it. She isn't a huge kid either at around 110 lbs. But if your daughter has good swing speed this is the bat for her.

Cons:  None as of yet. Price maybe, but all high end bats are expensive.

What does the CF stand for? Is a lower or higher CF better?

The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) would be a fantastic choice. The CF is the name of the bat. DeMarini has had this series for many seasons. The higher the number, the newer the bat model. The CF7 is currently available also. The CF6 and CF7 bats will perform very much the same.

Would you consider this bat for a power hitter or a contact hitter?

The 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) could be used by both power hitters or contact hitters. The more end-loaded 2014 DeMarini CF6 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFI) would be more specifically for a power hitter.

For a player that is about 5 feet tall and weighs around 160 pounds, would you recommend the 2014 DeMarini CF6 or the 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno? Also, she is currently swinging a 32 inch 22 ounce bat. Would you recommend that she goes up a size?

Based on her height and weight, the 32 inch bat would be a good fit for your player. Both the 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFP) and the 2014 Louisville Slugger Xeno Fastpitch Softball Bat (FPXN14-RR) would be great options and would be very similar by design. The preference between the two would come down to brand preference rather than one being much better than the other.

Description for 2014 DeMarini CF6 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFP
New for 2014! The -10 CF6 is the leader of the pack in the DeMarini fastpitch lineup. The DXCFP is designed for stud players that demand the best feel, sound, and performance that a fastpitch bat can offer. This year's CF6 is the hottest composite fastpitch bat out of the wrapper that DeMarini has ever produced. That's due to the all new Paradox Composite barrel and handle on this two-piece design. Paradox Composite makes the barrel stronger, while being scientifically shaped to feel softer on impact. This makes for a bigger, hotter, and more responsive sweet spot and consistently more powerful swings! The Paradox handle is designed stiff so that players can get an even better feel for the sweet spot, while continuing to produce a powerful, consistent swing. The CF6 features Stacked Double Wall Construction that creates a trampoline effect across the entirety of the barrel for completely optimized performance. At the end of the barrel, a Clutch End Cap dampens vibration for an incredibly smooth swing. If you want to give yourself the absolute best chance to succeed, it's the CF6 or nothing! DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The CF6 is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
