Pros: great feel when hitting the ball. definitely noticed a difference from our last bat. it was worth the price
Cons: none yet.
Pros: none
Cons: lots of vibration
Pros: My son is 11. We've tried several brands now in the last 4-5 yrs of playing baseball. For whatever reason, since we've owned the COMbat, his batting average has jumped dramatically. Several team mates have all jumped on the wagon and use his bat during tournaments and are experiencing similar results. Even if it might be in their head, its a good thing. I've noticed an increase in distance off this bat though for sure. It took about two weeks of BP to break it in. Not as long as I expected. Finally, my son expressed how much he likes the wrap on the handle much better than any bat he's had before. We will definitely buy this brand again.
Cons: Since this bat is fairly new I can't really rate the durability category yet. I gave it a five, but the jury is still out. So far, So good
Pros: Switched to COMbat. It has been a great experience. This bat was hot out of the wrapper. several teammates have started to use it, So I see a second one in the near future. best -12 bat on the market
Cons: None
Pros: I was about to jimp on the banwagon with easton till my dad seen this.I was ganna get mako but then we seen this really light for a big barrel and barrels unfair
Cons: None
Pros: bat has decent pop, also i like the plain black color. The grip is actually not that bad.
Cons: I have swung every bat from the combat, to the CF4 and CF5, i have also swung the easton S1 and Xl1. If your going to spend this much on a bat, i strongly advise swinging an easton S1 or XL1. these bats are about the same price and have way better look, pop, and grip. DONT GET THIS BAT
Pros: My son plays on a travel ball team and one of his teammate got this bat and talking with his dad he was very impressed with it and his son likes it too. So I had my son used it on one of his at bats in a game and he smashed the ball to the outfield. So I bought it and he has been cracking the ball in a few games.
Cons: You not buying this bat yet!!!
Pros: If you are looking for a well balanced bat that will increase your players bat speed, but also deliver a lot of pop...then this is the bat. We all know increased speed will result in power, but this bat is top quality. You will notice from the first time your player hits in the cage and/or does some tee work that the balls will be jumping off the bat. For sure has that extra little POP I love to see when my son hits the ball. Looks cool too!!
Cons: none
Pros: Light big barrel looks nice. Had good pop and built confidence . 11 year old 105 lbs 5' tall, 30/18
Cons: Bat shattered during practice only 3 months old. Combat replaced, took 4 weeks , during holidays. The bat it was replaced with had the finish flaking off and Combat said that was ok and would not reissue another one. I purchased CF6 as soon as I received that email from Combat. Never again
Pros: despite the sweet spot location, the ball comes off the barrel fast.
Cons: bad sweet spot location. deep on the barrel where the "C" in "COMBAT" is located. may be due to the bat needing to be broken in but not happy with its out of wrapper performance. was not expecting this. shouldve known since other models from combat have been a disappointment to me. just curios as to how other players bat are soo hott and mines not.
Pros: Adds about 20 feet to power shots. Son used it the first time today went 2 for 2 with a double and a triple. hit the wall dead centerfield. Nice sweet spot. He is 11 years old and uses a 31 in 19 oz. Well worth the money.
Cons: none noted yet.
Pros: The bat is very lightweight compared to the Easton 28/18. My 9 year old is loving it. He is only 60 pounds and is hitting to the fences with this Combat!
Cons: None
Pros: Combat does not disappoint!! My son has used the Portent and the Bubba -12 now. His bat speed and average has increased greatly. The Portent has outstanding pop out of the wrapper better than most bats I have seen. Also it is extremely balanced and has a good size sweet spot. I truly believe that this well made bat will add distance to anyones drives due to the high quality construction, and faster speed from the light well balanced swing therefore creating more power.
Cons: none
Pros: Great bat! Nice balance!
Cons: None.
Pros: excellent pop i moved from my xl3 to this bat and my average increased. i would recomemd this bat to anyone
Cons: scuffs a lot
Pros: My kid loves the look + feel of this bat. He seems to hit doubles effortlessly, while his singles are laser sharp. He is a smaller kid but I bought him the 30/18 so he could use it on his Sunday Travel team this yr while getting used to the length and weight. He still gets around fast with this bat for a little guy. The bat has great balance w/great pop. All the kids on his travel team love it too. I would recommend this over all the other higher priced names b/c in this case u are only paying more for the bat. This bat will only keep getting better for my little slugger!
Cons: None
Pros: Big improvement over the lime green, paint-cracking 2013 model. The only drop 12 bat on the market thus it allows the extra edge in bat speed and length. My 10 year old used the 30/18 and my 11 year old used the 31/19 with good results. The bat offers a nice balance with good pop on contact. I would highly recommend it as long as they continue to build off of this model.
Cons: Combat has been known for lesser products in the past (durability - breaking and paint cracking) but seem to be working hard to improve their product and as long as they can offer a superior product with durability, it's a no brainer to use their bats compared to the more familiar brands with only drop 10 or 9 choices.
Pros: Lots of pop when hit on the sweetspot. Looks good. Grip is nice.
Cons: If you hit it on the end it is totally dead. If you hit it on the handle the kids basically drop it due to the vibration. Definitely no comparison to a two-piece bat for vibration
Pros: First time Combat owner and very impressed. Only owned Easton up until now and always happy with their performance. Son swung Easton S1 (2 1/4 barrel) over the past year in both LL and travel ball with good results. The S1 has good pop. Helped my son hit 220-230 ft HR in All Stars this summer. Finally wanted to move up to big barrel for travel ball. Son tried both 2 3/4 (-10) and 2 5/8 (-9) Easton Mako's that a few of his teammates own. We were surprised by the lack of pop. Hard line drives that would normally rocket over SS or 2nd and into the gap using his S1 were instead somewhat weak infield line outs. Noticed the same lack of pop when his teammates used them. Decided to save some money and try 2014 Combat Portent 2 5/8 (-12). This bat has crazy pop out of the wrapper...more than his S1 (2 1/4). Have never seen him hit the ball harder. Impressed enough that I'm wondering if we should get the 2 1/4 barrel Portent for LL next spring if he out grows his S1.
Cons: None yet. So far only used it for some break in reps on a tee (didn't seem like ours needed it though...even first swing had noticeable pop), a few batting practices, and one tournament. Other kids want to try it now.
Pros: Funny story:-) while looking for a cost effective but reliable bat for my son's upcoming 12u aau season. And after seen average prices ranging from $150 to $350 I wasn't sure about spending that much on a bat. my son is a great hitter but allready needs a new tool Tho on my way out i came crossed a 2013 portent discontinued model that was clearanced for $80 my first reactio n was too good to be truth but $80 for a new bat? Sooooold!!!lol first of all my players use the high end " popular-$ 350overrated bats and here comes my son with a "old disc $80 combat" one of the players asked triying to be be funny "what the hek is that"? my son replied is a bat!!! And Guys By the time practice wrapped up every one asked including parents wow!!!!!where you get that bat? How much was it? Can I use it next time?lololol My review on this unit is it has great pop!!! my boy was crushing the ball from swing #1 it was fun.
Cons: None yet ......Just got it will see!!
