Pros:
A very nice bat for the young guys and the price is a bargain! My son was using a Louisville TRITON composite 29" 17oz. and he easily switched to his new Rawlings Plasma 30" 18oz. He loves his new bat!
Cons:
The white hand grips got dirty at the first touch! I think grey or ash would work better.

Would this be a good bat for my son who plays coach pitch and is 4'3" tall and weighs 71 lbs?

Is there a very big difference in bat performance, as far as how far you can hit the ball. For example, a young kid, 10 years old 4' 5" and 70 lbs. Or am I wasting my money buying the more expensive bats?

The 2013 Rawlings Plasma: YBPLA4 Youth bat would be a great choice. As far as bat pricing goes, you will see higher prices for the bats that feature better materials. Composite materials will out perform alloy materials in the long run. Both barrels will feature similar pop and distance on the actual hit.
