Pros: Good pop,Stiff feel,Durable,Great for an on base hitting,Sick grip, balenced
Cons: none i hope
Pros: amazing
Cons: none
Pros: Once this bat is broken in, it is just SICK!!! Great Pop! Been using an Alloy 28 in 15oz and now went with the 28in 16oz Rawlings. GREAT BAT!!! MAKE SURE IT IS BRKEN IN NAD YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Cons: NONE
Pros: I'm a big Rawlings fan since the 5150 line of bats. My son has been playing Rawlings for a couple of years now and the bats have always impressed. Rawlings out did themselves with the Youth Machine Bat. At our first game of the season my son went 5/5 with 3 HRs, not maybe it'll go HRs but the "that's gone" HRs. Buy this bat before they ban it. To me there is not better bat on the market and that's why we stay with Rawlings.
Cons: Needs to be broken in, 200-300 balls.
Pros: this is the best bat on the market. I have used cf4s and 5's, omens, s1, and xl1 and i would choose this one over all of those bats. huge sweet spot, great looks and amazing pop even when hit on the handle. I usally dont try bats that arent from "the big 4" (DeMarini,Easton,Louiville Slugger, COMbat) but dont worry
Cons: i didnt like the grip
Pros: BAT Takes 300 plus balls to break in correctly. BUT, SHE IS HOT AFTER BREAK-IN AND YOU WILL KNOW WHEN IT IS READY! Nice Balance....Top Quality! Old Alloy Bat is a team Bat now....This Rawlings is the best I have seen Yet. Average 20 - 30 yards longer.......
Cons: NONE AT ALL
Pros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
Cons: TKES ABOUT 400 HITS TO BREAK IN PROPERLY. BUT WELL WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT.
Pros: My 11 year old son got one for the 2013 season for Christmas. His previous bats were a Rawlings Gold Rush Hybrid 30"/18 oz., and a Rawlings Gold Plasma 30"/17 oz. He stepped up to a 31"/19 oz. Despite the increase in size the Machine feels lighter and much more balanced. This is his first composite bat because he did not like his buddy's Easton S1 or Omen, nor the CF5.
Cons: Needs much breaking in. I finally had it rolled, which made a big difference.
Pros: Solidly made, great graphics, very good grip. Very good balance.
Cons: Transmitted vibration to the handle. Takes a while to break in.
Pros: Break in period is long but manageable. BREAK THIS IN ONLY WITH BASEBALLS AND HITTING. Anything else and it will crack within a month. Keep your receipts!! Cracks happen with any composite!
Cons: UPDATE: My son, now 12, stepped up to the 32/20 version of this bat. He also owns the 30/18 and 31/19. He tried the S1, the Mako, and others but went with another Machine because it just felt consistent and better than the other Composites. In his last year of Little League, he powers the ball deep into the outfield. It's not truly the bat, but at least he knows what he likes.
Pros: I bought the 30/18 for my 9 year old and I must say that this bat is the real deal. I have used several different brands of composite bats and the feel of this bat is unbelievable right out of the wrapper. It is a little stiff right now (which is a good thing for durability) but I can tell it will open up soon. We have gone through one BP session and the pop is already there. I cannot wait to see how this bat performs when it is fully broken in. I would compare it to the Miken Freak 98 ASA (before the new standards) slowpitch bat, stiff to start out but once broken in not many can compete.
Cons: none yet
Pros: Great balance and huge sweet spot. My 7 year old son has a B4 Combat 27/17 and I wanted to move him up in size so I bought this bat in 28/16 and it has been perfect. My son is only 50 lbs but he swings well and gets the bat around great. Typical composite sound which I like.
Cons: Grip is hard and slick, I replaced it with Easton grip tape and my son likes it better.
Pros: Bat had decent pop out of the box.
Cons: Bat snapped just above the grip after only 4 or 5 uses.

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
