The Velocit-e has been redesigned to maximize performance and sweetspot to give players the highest performing 100% composite slow pitch design on the market for under $200. The Velocit-e features a one-piece design that is constructed from Miken's Z700 Composite. Z700 is a premium carbon fiber that is rated 29% stronger than the industry standard, resulting in performance and distance that can only be achieved by Miken. The Z700 Composite is then layered with Durashell Technology (DST). DST is a proprietary technology that acts as a composite shield on the outer shell of the carbon fiber barrel to maximize durability and allow for ultimate performance out of the wrapper. As with all high-end Miken bats, the Velocit-e has been 100 Comp Certified, meaning that this bat is made from 100% premium aerospace grade fiber to deliver Miken's legendary performance and durability. Pros: I bought the MIKEN. This bat is still on fire! I am by no means a power hitter and I'm making home runs look easy with this bat. I've swung a lot of bats but none like the VELOCIT-E GREAT PRICE MIKEN did a wonderful job on this one.

Pros: Needs no break-in. Used in ASA games with .44COR 375 compression balls and this baby smokes the ball. This bat is priced very well.

Cons: Never been a fan of white grip tape, but I've been living with it.

Pros: Very nice, well liked. This bat was purchased for use with a women's team. Lots of pop even on the first use. Worked well with no breaking in. Other players used the bat resulting in some great hits.

Absolutely! As far as we know, ASA isn't changing any rules regarding certifications for bats. This bat is certified for ASA play and is legal for use.

Since the 2013 Miken Velocit-E is an all composite bat, it is recommended to limit it's use in temperatures around 50 degrees or lower. These colder temperatures can affect the balls, making them more dense, which could end up damaging your bat.

I believe the 2013 Miken Velocit-E: SPVELA Slow Pitch Bat would be a good choice for your wife. It is going to be a high performing one-piece composite bat that won't be overly endloaded.

Hi I was just wondering how this bat compares with the miken freak dst. I currently have a balanced dst but it is running out of life. would there be any drop off if I went with the Velocit-e? joey

I've hit with both, and in all honesty, the Velocit-E does more than hold it's own compared to the Freat DST. Both offer great bang for you buck and pop will be similar compared to the Freat DST.
