ba-boom
Pros: hot off the wrapper! It feels very balanced and light, probably could have moved up an inch with no problem. The ball flies off the bat and it has the PING sound. This will probably be one of the hottest bat once the season begins. One of the few bats that you can use immediately. Good job Marucci!
Cons: price, but if it keeps performance its well worth it

Bacon
Pros: Immediate impact on my son's batting average! Sure, some of it's mental, but there's no arguing the pop this bat has right out of the box. He hit his first home run after only a few at bats! Teammates all want to use it.
Cons: Pricey, but it's proving to be worth it.
lucci

Cons:
lucci
Pros: Great bat, has good balance, good power, and no bat can top this. Thanks Marucci!
Cons: It's worth the price.
Reved
Pros: Son loves it, has great balance & pop. Highly recommend this bat.
Cons: None
big slugger
Pros: It was hot out of the wrapper good solid shots.
Cons: The composite end cap cracked
Outlaw
Pros: The ball flies off the barrel. It has a very intimidating sound from a defensive standpoint. The bat is very easy swinging, my son had an XL2. It was a very different bat to swing at first, but now it is second nature. It is more comparable to the Easton Speed series.
Cons: The graphics are not too flashy, but that keeps the other kids from grabbing it.

We are really interested in this bat, but would have to order without swinging. Our local sports store does not carry marucci. We have swung the 2013 omaha, exo3, cf5, voodoo, and Easton s1,2,3. I want to know which bat its swing weight/balance is closest to? Of those mentioned, I think the cf5 is the lightest feeling, and the voodoo is the best bat, but not ready for the -9 yet. Sandlot

Is this the best bat for my ten year old son? bankpow
I have a question on the size of a bat. Right now my sons bat from last year was a youth Vexxum 30" 19 oz. When you buy a big barrel some people are telling me I should buy a bat that is a 29". My son is 11 and we were looking at the Marucci Elite 30" 20 oz. Will that bat size be okay for my son? This will be his first year playing AAU. fungophil
Will rolling the bat help or hurt the bat? We play travel ball this year and everyone I speak with has what they call, "A hot bat." Niner
This is our first year in live pitch. My son is 9 and has good bat speed. He's a contact hitter and I would like to invest in a bat that will add distance without affecting speed. Is the Marucci Elite the bat I need for him to do that? Or are there others I should consider first? qc34
My son now has the Easton S1 28" 18 oz. model. In your opinion, what would be the difference in the two bats? gptexas
I am debating between this bat and the 2013 Easton S3 with the 2 3/4 barrel for my 10 year old son. I think I prefer the Marucci, but he presently uses a 2 3/4 and wanted to know if changing to a 2 5/8 barrel will make a true difference (confidence not the issue). I'd be looking at a 29" 19oz, he is about 5' tall, 98 lbs. Rob

My Son will be 11 in July, he is 4'6" 83 lbs. He is currently using the TPX Omaha. I'm looking at the Marucci Elite as his Omaha is getting old and has some dents. Would you recommend moving up to a 29" bat or keep it the same? coachb
I am trying to decide between the Elite MSBELI and the Vertex XL. My son is 4' 4" and weighs 64 lbs. He mostly hits line drives and hard grounders and has good bat speed and power. Which bat, and what size would you recommend? Baseball Dad
My son is 9 and plays travel ball and rec ball. He has never used a big barrel bat before. He currently swings a Combat B3 29/17 in both leagues. He is a contact hitter, consistently hits line drives and grounders with the very occasional deep ball. After a lot of research (still not 100% sure) I have narrowed it down to either the Marucci Elite or the 2014 Demarini Vexxum. What is your recommendation, keeping in mind that I am looking for a bat to add a more consistent long ball and something where he won't notice much of a difference in the current league ball bat he uses (COMbat B3)? Junior
