So if its allowed in coach pitch, why can it not be used. I understand that it's designed for tball but will it just have no pop with a hard ball
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Vertex: TB13V Tee Ball bat is not allowed in coach pitch leagues. Tee ball bats are designed to hit a stationary (motionless) ball. The barrel walls on tee ball bats are way too weak to face live pitching. When used in coach pitch, tee ball bats are much, much less durable.
Why can't this bat be used for a Coach Pitch League? My son's coach recommended this bat because it was 1 oz lighter then his Easton bat.
This 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Vertex is engineered specifically for Tee Ball play only.
I have a 4 year old in a coach pitch league. They can't use composite and they can only use the 2 1/4" barrel. The lightest JBB bat I see you have is 13oz and that's too heavy for my 4 year old. I'm looking for something that is aluminum, 2 1/4" barrel, 11oz or less, and okay for coach pitch. Is this bat (or another tee ball bat like it) the best bet for him?
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Vertex: TB13V is a Tee Ball bat that cannot be used in coach pitch or kid pitch. Unfortunately, the lightest weight youth small barrel bat is 14 oz. A few of the top youth small barrel bats in that size are the Easton Reflex: LX73, 2013 Easton Reflex: YB13RX and 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: YB136.

Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime. Here's a short video promo from Louisville Slugger. After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were bo.... read more
