The ball comes off like a composite. My 7yr old loves it!!

How many swings does it take to break in this bat? My son is 7 and he was killing it. With last year's Omaha. I moved him up in size to this bat. It doesn't seem to have the pop like last years model bat.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: YB136XL Junior Big Barrel bat does not require any period of break-in. An all alloy bat will never require a break-in period. The 2013 Omaha is very light in swing feel and will help bat speed.

My son is 8 and he is tall. He used another players TPX Omaha and loves it, it's 28 in. Should I go up to 30? He will be 9 in October. But he is on a Select team right now. Should I stay with the Junior Big Barrel?
