Since 1884, Louisville Slugger has been on the cutting edge of bat technology. The EXOGRID name has been a top selling bat for years, so it's no surprise that the EXOGRID 3 is one of the most innovative bats to ever hit the market. This bat starts out with Louisville Slugger's AC21 Scandium Alloy which is one of the most durable and responsive alloys on the market. Moving toward the handle you'll find that the metal is trimmed into a grid-like pattern and replaced with carbon composite inserts. These inserts are several times stronger than the metal they replace which gives the EXOGRID 3 not only its name, but also its unwavering durability. The EXOGRID design also helps to lower the M.O.I. (moment of inertia) of the bat, resulting in lower swing weights and faster swing speeds for the player! Inside the bat, the heart of the EXOGRID 3 can be found in the form of an internal carbon composite sleeve. This provides greater handle stiffness than alloy alone ever could. All of these parts are brought together using Louisville Slugger's EXOGRID Bi/Fusion Process, where a combination of heat and extreme pressure bond everything into a single, solid unit.
