I am letting the cat out of the bag. This is the best bat for 2013. This composite bat blows the CF5 out of the water. Ton of pop!

Can this bat be used right out of the box or does it need a break-in period? What is the proper way to break-in a composite bat?

Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack: SL13A Senior League bat will need a period of break-in. For bats with composite hitting surfaces, we recommend 150-200 hits off a batting tee or soft toss. It’s best to start off at about 40% power, and gradually increase. Also, be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of turn in your hands after every hit.

Do composite bats lose their "pop" over time? If so, about how long will it keep its integrity? Or is this just a myth?

Composite bats do no generally lose their pop over time. They maintain their performance until the bat loses its integrity.
