Description

New for Ask anyone what the hottest ASA slow pitch softball bat is, and you'll get one answer time and time again: The Easton Salvo. This season, the Salvo returns in a number of different forms to meet the needs and preferences of just about any player. The Easton Salvo Connexion features a hybrid design constructed with a THT100 Scandium Alloy barrel and a CNT Advanced Composite Handle. This two-piece design is held together with Easton's patented ConneXion that uses hinge technology for efficient energy transfer and vibration elimination. The THT100 Scandium Alloy used on the barrel is Easton's toughest alloy as it provides 100 ksi strength for superior dent and crack resistence. In addition, the 12 inch THT100 alloy barrel also allows for a larger and more responsive sweetspot than traditional alloys, and is endloaded for maximum power. The CNT handle provides the unrivaled durability Easton is known for by enhancing the proprietary resin system inside the bat. The ultra thin 29/32 inch CNT handle is wrapped with a new Performance Diamond Grip that provides the tack and control needed to start blasting homers every time up. Maybe the most impressive thing about the Salvo is that you can start consistently hitting balls over the fence for under $200! Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference! The Easton Salvo Connexion is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. Hit a homerun already in practice & game. Just got under one when hitting but still went out for a homer! i like this bat. can really feel the trampoline effect. i hit one close to the handle and still shot out of the infield for a basehit. really large sweet spot. i'm a small guy, and i bet i can do a lot of damage with this bat, even it's little one-piece brother. me like this a lot. like the design & color too

Cons: none

New Haven Crusha

Pros: No break in required!!! hits hard right out of the wrapper!!! You can feel the power from the end loaded technology and seems to carry a bit (5%) more power then Easton Relflex... Takes a few practices to get use to the balance but once you do it will be worth the upgrade over most $100 bats

Cons: Easton Bats in general including this line come from the factory with grips that are a bit small. I had to remove it and build a new up a bit thicker.

Pros: Swing weight is just like a synergy, weighted nicely, much better than a white steel when comparing single wall metal bats. Swings true to weight so a 26 oz. swings like a 26 oz. Solid line drive bat.

Cons: Not as much pop as a white steel, probably cause it isn't as end heavy as a white steel. Bat is also a little expensive. And then there's the color but that's just me.

Pros: Great Pop, Nice Composite handle takes vibration off of your hands, Really solid build, seems to be extremely durable. Similar to a White Steel but I think it will last longer than the Steel. When you hit the large sweet spot you dont even feel the ball...it just pops off the bat!!

Cons: A little stiff out of the wrapper, ( Maybe it will loosen up over time and break in period ) Not as much pop as a White Steel out of the wrapper...but pretty close.

Will the new line of Salvo's be legal for play after this year? bdoc
Absolutely! The 2013 models have the new USSSA stamp that is being required for play after this season.
Jennifer
How does this bat compare to the 2011 DeMarini White Steel? My league is USSSA single wall bats only. Thanks E-Dub
Both bats are pretty similar. They are both two piece designs with an alloy barrel and composite handle. With that being said, they will both perform just about the same. However, the 2013 Easton Salvo does feature the new stamp that is required by USSSA beginning in 2013, and the DeMarini White Steel does not.
Jennifer
Is this bat the new version of the easton sv12? Is the connexion the same or is the salvo two piece a little different? jwellzzz
No. This is not the new version of the SV12. The Connexion technology is the same in the Salvo as it is in other Easton bats.
Tyler
Is this a single wall bat? Mike
The 2013 Easton Salvo Connexion is a single wall bat.
Kara
How does this bat hold up in cold weather? Bebe
The 2013 Easton Salvo Connexion is a single wall bat and could dent more easily in colder temperatures. Easton recommends not to use single wall bats in temperatures below 50 degrees because colder temperatures can make the composition of the ball denser which can result in denting.
Kara
Is this bat a single wall bat? The Rev
The 2013 Easton Salvo Connexion is a single wall bat.
Kara
Is this bat the newer version of the SV12 (scandium barrel with composite handle)? Duncan
The 2013 Easton Salvo Connextion uses newer technology than the Eaton V12. Easton uses TH100 aluminum which is Easton's top of the line alloy and CNT composite materials.
Kara
Which is better bat for bigger pop the 2012 DeMarini Steel: DXWHI Slow Pitch or 2013 Easton Salvo Connexion: SP12SVC Slow Pitch RT
Both the 2013 Easton Salvo Connexion: SP12SVC and the 2012 DeMarini Steel: DXWHI use top of the line alloy and composite materials. You can't go wrong with either bat.
Kara
Can i play fastpitch with this bat? Frantruc
As long as the bat contains the certification mark of the league you are playing in (ASA, USSSA, etc.), then it will be legal for play. However, slow pitch bats used in fastpitch softball leagues typically aren't as durable since they're facing pitches thrown at higher velocities.
Tyler
I used a 2011-2012 Easton Salvo, ORANGE print on the bat and did well with it...what's the difference between the Orange Salvo and this light blue one? Keep in mind, must be ASA approved bats that we use in our league... Tony
The Easton Salvo you used was a one-piece fully composite bat whereas this SP12SVC Salvo is a hybrid design so it is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and aluminum barrel.
