2013 Easton S1: JBB13S1 Junior Big Barrel |
Average Customer Review
Purchased a 28" 16 oz. bat for my seven year old son. Used last year's Easton S1, but bat was lighter weight and shorter length. He plays seven to eight year old Coach Pitch and has a powerful bat swing. Even though he is smaller in stature than average. The bat has lots of pop, a balanced feel, and can create lots of bat speed with it due to its light weight and balanced feel. Bat is hot out of wrapper and will get hotter with each smacked ball. Second year of happy son with ball-happy bat!
None, thus far. Did not have problems with last year's Easton S1 and do not expect problems this year.
Great bat with lots of pop! My son is 6 years old but only about 45 lbs. He is crushing balls with the 26" 14oz version of this bat. It took two weeks to really break-in. Now two other players on his coach pitch team are using his bat in games. This bat really makes a difference! Time will tell how well this bat holds up, but no issues so far.

The 2013 Easton S1: JBB13S1 Junior Big Barrel is intended for Coach Pitch only, and would be more susceptible to cracks and dents if used in Kid Pitch. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Catalyst: SL13C Senior League is intended for use in kid pitch and comes in a 27" 15 oz.

Do they make this bat in a 29/17
The Easton S1 JBB13S1 is not made in the 29" 17 oz. size.
My 8 year old son who is 4'9 and weighs about 95 lbs. Is this bat a good option? He currently uses a 29 inch DeMarini, but his coach has suggested he go down to a 28 inch.
Based on his height and weight we recommend a 29" to a 30" bat. A 28" will be too short for his size. The 2013 Easton S1: JBB13S1 Junior Big Barrel is designed for coach pitch only and the largest size available is a 28". The 2013 Easton S1: SL13S110 Senior League would be a better option. It can be used in coach pitch or kid pitch.
