I feel like this bat broke in pretty slowly, but my son is killing the ball now. Probably more him and his hard work than the bat. He used some -12 big barrels like the B3 and an Easton bat. All had similar results, but he is doing the best with this bat. I also feel like it might be a bit more durable than the -12 bats, simply because there is more material. The bat also has great balance and feels good in your hands. He is one of the biggest & oldest kids on an 8U team and I think the 28/18 is a great fit for similar kids if you have preseason training for break in. If he was smaller, I think the -12 big barrels would be better because with a fixed BPF, bat speed it king.
As I mentioned, this bat seems exceptionally strong and durable, but seems to take a bit more break-in time. I felt like some of the other bats were initially stronger. I do also miss the awesome sound of a hard hit with an aluminum bat.

My 10 year old son has been using an older Easton Stealth Speed composite (2 5/8", 30" 20 oz.) for the past year, and we're looking to replace it. Any suggestions for a similarly balanced bat?
This 2013 COMbat Pure: PURESL1 -10 Senior League bat is a balanced, one-piece composite model and would have a comparable swing feel to his previous bat. For the model that would be most similar to the Stealth composite bat, check out the 2013 Easton S1: SL13S110.
