Pros:
This bat is AWESOME!!! This bat is super hot right out of the wrapper.
Cons:
My daughter has the -11 and had 2 bats crack in the middle of the barrel in three months. She is has now switched to the -10 and the bat has the same pop.

Pros:
light i have no problems with it
Cons:
paint chips off VERY easily, like i just dropped it and it scratched bad, like scraped off the paint completely

Is this bat legal for USSSA tournaments after Sept 2014? It has a USSSA seal 1.20 BPF at bottom of the handle. What does the new seal say?

The 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFS Fastpitch will not be legal past September 1, 2014. The new USSSA 1.20 BPF stamp is a thumbprint located on the barrel of the bat. The 2013 DeMarini CF5: DXCFS Fastpitch has the new stamp and will be legal past September 1, 2014.

What's the difference between a CF5 and a C6?

The 2012 DeMarini CF5 features the TR3 Strut Composite material and stacked composite walls. The 2012 DeMarini Vendetta C6 features the C6 Composite material and Hybrid C-Grip. Both bats will have similar performance.

I just bought this bat. I called Demarini to ask if they could put the new stamp on it, but they won't. However, the customer service rep told me that the bat stamp enforcement will not start until 1 September 2014. The stamp is only for USSSA tournaments. Yes, the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFS Fastpitch bat will have the older markings on it. Here is the updated rule: "For USSSA Fastpitch Softball Only. As a result of manufacturing delays in fastpitch softball bats with the new USSSA mark on the taper, USSSA has extended the grandfather period for using old mark (“USSSA 1.20 BPF”) from January 1, 2013 to September 1, 2014. This extension applies only to USSSA Fastpitch sanctioned play and does not apply to USSSA Slow Pitch sanctioned play."
