When you step up to the plate, confidence is key. That's confidence in your team to give everything to the game - confidence in yourself to get the job done - and unquestioning confidence in your equipment. The team at Easton has obviously been in the game for years and knows that not every hitter is built the same. All of the characteristics that define the archetype of a "Contact Hitter" can be found in the new Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S310B - 1.) The S3 is forged from HMX (Hyperlite Matrix) Alloy for an expanded sweet spot and tremendous trampoline effect. 2.) Its traditional, stiff feel from its one-piece alloy design ensures that all of the seam-splitting energy you create is transferred directly to the baseball; and nowhere else. 3.) Wrap those features up with a perfectly-balanced swing weight and new HYPERSKIN Performance Grip for supreme control, and there's not one inch of the plate that's out of your Hot Zone.

The S3 Senior League features a 2 3/4" barrel diameter, -10 length to weight ratio, and the USSSA BPF 1.15 Certification. Great bat Adrian Lopez parent

Pros: This is a great bat. I purchased this bat for my son, 10U travel ball. This is the third S3 I have purchased, from 2 1/4 for Pony to 2 3/4 for travel. This bat has a lot of pop more so than the composite bats my son has used in the past. This is an overall great bat and I will continue to buy this bat for the future. My son rarely feels vibration.

Cons: Dents easily, probably from hitting the cages and dimple balls at fast speed.

2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S31 David coach

Pros: Has lots of pop in this bat.

Cons: The durability of this this bat has been very disappointing. I've had 2 of this same bat in less than 3 months. The first one I sent back for warranty because the end cap came off after 6 weeks. The replacement bat I have had less than 1 month and it has dents all in it. I've always though Easton produced the best bats, but this one has been awful.

Great bat if the end cap wouldn't be weak Mike coach

Pros: Both of my boys have used the Easton S3 line of bats for many years and have always hit well and never had an issue. My 11 year old needed a new bat so it made sense to continue on with this line of bat. He had the bat for two weeks and during a game the end cap broke. We sent it back to Easton and they sent us another one. Two weeks later that end cap broke as well. I should have paid attention to other reviews I read about end cap issues. It's a shame because otherwise the bat was good.

Cons: End cap broke on original and replacement after minimal use.

Good bat for the price Shane parent

Pros: The bat has good pop to it, The bat seems to be very durable as I have not seen any dents. My son uses it a lot - games, coach practice and at batting cages, no issues. I talked with Bats.com as I was worried about the warranty because a couple people talked about dents, the representative indicated they would take care of it within the warranty period.

Cons: None that I can see so far. The bat has improved his hitting. We did get it a little heavier and longer and he hasn't had an issue with going up in length and weight just a little.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S310B? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Any difference between this 2016 S3 and the 2015 model other than color? coach Vic
The differences on the 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL16S310B) are primarily cosmetic. It does have a different grip for a slightly different feel.
Patrick
Can it be used in the cold? PB
Here at Just Bats, we do not recommend using the 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S310B in temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
John P.
Had to send this bat to Easton for a warranty replacement after a few months of use. Replacement seems to be going bad now. We only use it for games and live BP outside. Every time you get a replacement bat does it start the warranty over? tonya
Typically, only the first model purchased will be covered under the 12 month manufacturer's warranty period (warranty models technically do not carry the 12 month warranty period). However, I have heard of manufacturers helping out customers on case-by-case situations. I cannot guarantee that Easton will warranty the replacement bat, but you can always reach out and ask. Easton's phone number is 888-259-1297.
Ben
Is this considered a big barrel bat? Holly
The 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL16S310B) features a 2 3/4" barrel so it would be considered a big barrel bat.
Jake
My son is 9 years old, 5' tall and 110 lbs. We've used the 31"/21 oz (2 3/4") Easton S3 that is silver, black and yellow (best bat we've had). Also used a CF7 and didn't enjoy it as much as the S3. What is the best bat for a 10 year old power hitter? power hitter
Based upon your player's height and weight, my general suggestion would be to look at a bat with 30" length. However, since you guys have swung 31"/21 oz bats in the past, I think it would be fine to stick with that size. If you wanted to have the best chance to replicate what was swung in the past with the S3, I would suggest looking into this 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL16S310B) in the the 31"/21 oz size. Another solid option of bat for consideration would be the 2016 DeMarini Voodoo RAW Senior League Baseball Bat (DXVDZ). That bat can be bought in the 31"/21 oz size (2 3/4" barrel diameter) and features a hybrid design with a slight end-load that is usually preferred by power hitters.
Ben
What is the difference between the 2016 S3 and the 2017 model? MLT
The 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S310B and the 2017 model are both made out of Hyperlite Matrix alloy. The two bats are the same other than the cosmetic appearance.
Jason
Do the 2016 bats still have a warranty, either manufacturer or through JustBats, since the 2017 bats are out? Rachel
Most bats will have a 12 month manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase.
Kyle J.
Is this model 2 3/4 or 2 5/8? Also, my son is 12U, and 57" tall, 80 lbs. Is 30/20 good size for him? Tom
The 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL16S310B features a 2 3/4" barrel diameter, and based on his height and weight, you are correct with that 30" 20oz. size. However, I would recommend a 2 5/8" barrel diameter at his age.
Logan
My son is 9, playing 10u and is 4'6" tall and 75/80 lbs. I was thinking the 29 in 19 oz. Does that seem right? boy mom
Yes, we would recommend a 29" length for him.
Kyle J.
Other than price, what is the biggest difference in the Easton S3 and Marucci Alloy? Hey There
The 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL16S310B) and the 2016 Marucci Hex Alloy Senior League Baseball Bat (MSBAHAX10) are going to be very comparable bats. Both offer one piece aluminum designs with a 2 3/4" barrel. The S3 is going to have a thinner handle than the Marucci Hex but other than that they are very comparable options to each other. The S3 also is going to feature the HMX Alloy which creates an expanded sweet spot and good durability.
Carter

The only change between the 2016 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL16S310B) and the 2017 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17S310B) is going to be the color/appearance.
