Pros: Great swing weight and feel to the bat! It is not extremely end loaded, but has enough barrel weight to where it is comfortable to swing. Has a nice stiff feel. The ping to the bat tells it all, when you hear it you know that's the sound of a base hit. The grip is the kind every player likes, tacky and easily gripped. That bat is one of the most well designed aluminum bats I have seen. Very long with a huge barrel. My favorite drop 5 bat. Great year around bat for all weather. Ball blasts off barrel. Drops bombs!
Cons: Grip is not that durable, easily dirtied and wears down slightly. Barrel is huge, but not as big as the 2015 xl1 Hasn't showed me the carry of the ball I expected, but carries farther than most drop 5 senior league bats.
Pros: every pitch in the cage is hard very good bat good pop feel and durability
Cons: it sometimes hurts your hands but is a great bat
Pros: Great pop and a big barrel. Although this bat is in the xl series it is very balanced and easy to swing. Great bat for the singles hitter.
Cons: Getting jammed and capped stings a ton.
Pros: In my first 3 at-bats using this, i got two line drive base hits and a line drive home run, great feel and good pop
Cons: none
Pros: My 13U son just moved to this bat after swinging an XL1 -8 for more than a year. He loves his new bat. Although it has an end load, he says it feels pretty balanced in the swing. The weight difference is hardly noticeable and hasn't impacted his bat speed at all. He's able to square up nicely. I like the solid, not-too-high-pitched ping of this bat compared to others. It sounds like a big solid stick.
Cons: Others have noted the vibration, but my son finds it to be no real issue.
Pros: big pop !!!!! adds 30 feet on hits ... -5 . He swings a -3 voodoo also >> the -5 feels like a -3 bat >>> for little league no composite barrels >> this bat is the answer .
Cons: the bat lets you know if you miss the sweet spot.
Pros: Just went yard in cooperstown last night . The whole team is using the bat in cooperstown ,
Cons: none
Pros: Pop right out of the gate. great balance and swingabilty. This bat is exactly what we were looking for.
Cons: Havent found one yet. Have last uears model and the performance and durability of both are great.
Pros: i has so much pop
Cons: none
Pros: Bat has good pop and is well worth the price
Cons: none
Pros: We switched to the Easton Xl3 bat after moving on from drop 8. My 12 year old loves this bat because it gives him the bat speed with a slightly end-loaded feel for added power. I will tell you that this bat would be best for for kids that are a little stronger to take advantage of the end loaded power with increased bat speed and better bat control. This bat has tremendous pop and the ultra-thin handle allows the user to create more wrist torque and improve control to launch the balls further. My 12 year old has launched homers in his games over 300 feet regularly with this bat.
Cons: Like most bats, over time, the paint starts chipping off on tiny areas of the bat, but I think its expected considering my son uses it all the time....
Pros: Good power hitters bat. Plenty of whip, nice pop, good hand feel. The thin handle encourages bat speed from my son.
Cons: Vibration on jam shots and off the end is pretty annoying. I guess if my son just barrels it up better there would be no issues.
Pros: Has a great pop off the ball.
Cons: can't find any yet.
Pros: Good balanced weight Smooth thru the hitting zone No vibration even on mishits
Cons: None yet, used a teammate's bat and new one has been great.
Pros: Lots of pop, end loaded, very durable. My son is about 5' 150lbs and 13 y/o. Bought this bat as a surprise about 6 mos ago after reading the reviews. Took him a little getting used to mostly because of the difference in wt. He was going from a -9 to -5. But once he got used to the difference in wt, he has been slamming the ball over the outfielder's heads. Has all the dad's talking about him in the bleachers. His words, "Mom, I love my bat!" Takes a lot to get a compliment out of a13 year old. Buy the bat!
Cons: None
Pros: My son hit a growth spurt and found his 31" -10 bats to be too light. I picked this up used but it was still in great shape. Paint nicks and smudges, no big deal...no dents and a new lizard grip made it ready to use. He immediately started absolutely crushing balls everywhere. There was the occasional mishit that made him ring out his hands but he never complained. He liked that feedback that told him he made a mistake. This bat is supposed to be end-weighted but it feels more balanced than that. It is very easy to swing for a big kid (11 yr old - 5'7" 145lbs).
Cons: The end cap cracked and a chunk flew off after being hit with a pitch. I was able to replace the end cap pretty easily and the bat is back to working order again. Prior to that, my son requested I find another because he had such a high degree of confidence in his 'Orange Justice'.
