Amazing bat some day MLB star player
Pros: A grate bat lodes of pop
Cons: I do not have it i just used my team mates and it was awsome
Fast bat! GoodSyntax coach
Pros: Very fast through the strike zone! Great balance helps all hitters maintain a level swing through the zone. Many hitters lean towards the heavy, top-end loaded bats and end up swinging under balls or popping up because the natural tendency is for the bat head to drop during the swing. This is especially noticeable with weaker hitters and hitters that cannot generate enough bat speed with these heavy bats, so I see the typical drop of the trailing elbow, which causes the bat head to fall at the apex of the swing. But, due in large part to the light weight and balance, I do not see these same swing characteristics with the S3, so I feel that my hitters aren't struggling and their swing has improved by quite a bit because of it. The S3 produces a level, effortless swing. Due to its lightweight barrel it allows hitters to turn on the inside fastball, but has enough pop to allow kids to hammer meatballs.
Cons: Being a very lightweight bat, vibration dampening is kind of weak. The S3 combats this with a very large sweet spot, but even still, if you miss the sweet spot, you know it. There simply isn't enough mass to dampen a ball off the end of the bat. Another concern (which fortunately hasn't been an issue thus far after two seasons of heavy use) is the durability of the bat. The bat hasn't dented yet, and it is being used by many players from contact hitters to my power hitters, but I can't shake the feeling that it is inevitable (probably due to the light weight). Finally, if you're a hitter that doesn't struggle with heavy, top-end loaded bats, just realize that you likely won't have the same power with the S3 as you would with a Mako or similar bat. This bat seems to really help contact hitters (singles/doubles), but doesn't have enough mass to put anything over the fence with consistency. You are trading distance for average with this bat.
My son really likes his new bat! Mike V parent
Pros: my nine year old hits very well with this bat. nicely balanced and he says it feels great. quick through the zone with it.
Cons: some pretty decent vibration on hits off handle and end.
Awesome bat ! Tom parent
Pros: This bat out performs our Mako . We've used a mako the last 2 seasons and this bat easily outperforms it . My son is 8u so I don't know if the composite bats need more strength but from the first time he used the S3 he hit 30 feet farther .
Cons: None
Ok bat Jerrion Smith player
Pros: The feel is great and and the vibration is awesome
Cons: Pop sucks. Its too light that your like way ahead on the ball.

My seven year old son is 52" tall and weighs 55 lbs. I am deciding on an Easton S3 or Easton S2 for him. He is a great contact hitter. I had him swing the 2015 S2 and S3, 28" 15 oz. bats. He said the S3 felt lighter to swing versus the S2. Is that accurate? Is the S3 the better bat for a contact hitter? Mdka14
