Description

Easton has brought the most expansive line of power and performance to the market with the all-new Power Brigade Series!

TCT Thermo Composite Technology is the key to the MAKO's industry-leading swing speed, massive sweet spot, and pure feel on contact. This innovative material comprises both the barrel and handle which are united by Easton's patented 2-PC ConneXion Technology. By isolating the handle from the barrel with the connection joint, energy transfer is maximized while simultaneously eliminating any unwanted vibration. The MAKO's foundation is then optimized with a lower Swing Weight Index for one of the lightest swing weights on the market.

This Easton MAKO baseball bat features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -3 length to weight ratio, new HYPERSKIN Performance Grip, and it is BBCOR Certified for High School and Collegiate Play. Vibration Marty parent

Pros: Received this bat on 9/4/15 My son has only hit soft toss into a net with it this weekend and the bat seems to have great pop......but

Cons: Only hit soft toss no live pitching and the bat already has a vibration sound. The end cap is loose. With only 75 swings maybe...

Happy Happy Happy! Very Happy Customer parent

Pros: The pop off this bat really is the best we have ever seen. We purchased the Demarini Voodoo Raw first and was very unhappy, it was just dead feeling. Got this bat and could not be more pleased. Very first at bat in a game my son went yard and didnt even hit the ball well. The bat got that long ball!

Cons: NONE!

Not as good as you would expect Gabe. J parent

Pros: This is a very light bat, and it feels really good when you swing it.

Cons: I got my 14 year old son this bat expecting it to be a lightweight, bat with a lot of pop. Unfortunately, this bat has little pop, and my 5 foot 10 8th grader cannot hit the ball 280 feet. On the other hand, with the Voodoo overlord ft, he can hit the ball 330 feet, and the voodoo overlord has a much better sound. Get the voodoo overlord over the mako, it is a much better choice. The mako is not worth it.

Regardless of price, benefit outweighs cost Jayandhisbaseballboys parent

Pros: Bought a 32 for my 14 year old in June 2016. One week later, my 17 year old son decided to use it and hit a 380 foot HR his second at bat. This was without a breakin. So, I was convinced and bought another mako bat for 17 year old son. My 14 year old loves the pop and feel and he also hits well with it.

Cons: none so far since we have seen only 3 weeks using these bats.

Good for a certain amount of time Eric player

Pros: Tons of pop when I first bought it. Had no vibration. Light swinging bat.

Cons: The bat died. I took my exit velocity in June and topped 77 with this bat but when I tested it yesterday (7/16), I only topped 66. The sound off the bat was quiet and it just wasn't the same it once was.

Save your receipt for warranty claim! Trevor player

Pros: Nice balance and easy to swing Good pop Easton customer service and warranty is excellent

Cons: Doesn't hold up. I've returned two of these bats over the last year because they both cracked in the center where the two piece composite handle meets up with the barrel. When this happens the barrel goes dead and you lose your pop. I have a teammate that has had the same experience with both the 2015 and 2016 Mako BBCOR. Luckily Easton has an excellent and easy warranty process and sends a replacement bat upon return and proof of purchase of your broken bat, so save your receipt and the box to ship it back if it breaks!

Hands Down the best bat I've ever used Alec Albain Player

Pros: Amazing bat all around, no vibration whatsoever, as long as you break this bat in evenly or correctly you should have no problems, as for I didn't. If you have had a problem with the bat you might not have taken precaution to the correct ways to break your bat in, and in which case you shouldn't be spending your money on something you're just going to ruin.

Cons: (Not from-factory issue) If you leave this out in the cold it will get ruined, I left mine in the garage over the winter and now it rattles and wobbles at the connection, if you don't take good care of this bat it will not last long, I only had mine for one year before it started having problems due to my own mistakes.

Get it while it's on sale. Carson Player

Pros: Got this bat while it was on sale. Just came today and I haven't been able to hit a ball, but the overall feel is really good. I've got the 2015 orange USSSA MAKO and I love it. I All ready knew it wasn't going to have as much "pop" because of the BBCOR standard. My only worry is that about 2" from the end cap when throwing the ball up and hitting it, it feels a little dead and it vibrates but the rest of the barrel sounds and feels solid.

Cons: Hopefully it's all composite and real. This place seems a little ify. Also it came a little banged up. It had bubble wrap around it in the box so it was probably from the wear house.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the difference between the 2015 MAKO and 2016 MAKO? Craig
The cosmetic look and the grip would be the only major differences between the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) and the 2015 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB15MK).
Patrick
What is the difference between the 2016 Mako and the 2016 Mako XL? Robert
The 2016 Easton MAKO XL BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MKL) has a slightly more extended barrel and an end-loaded feel compared to the more balanced 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK).
Patrick
I am 14 yrs old 5'11" and 160 lbs. Do you recommend this bat for me and if so what size? SteveD
Yes, we would recommend the 2016 Easton MAKO BCCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) model. It is a very high performing two-piece full composite desing with an extended barrel while still having a well balanced swing weight. We would recommend the 32" for you.
John
My son is 5 foot 3 and weighs 105 pounds. He needs a drop 3 BBCOR. He currently swings the XL1. Should he be using the end-loaded version or the balanced for his size? Austin
I would recommend going with the more balanced 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) rather than an end-loaded model for a player of his size.
Patrick
My son is a 14 year old freshman (5"3', 110 lbs.) who is a top-of-the-order type of line-drive (gap) hitter. Needs a new -3 BBCOR bat. We"re on the fence between the Easton Mako BB16MK and the Demarini CF8. I noticed that the Mako starts at 31/28, but the CF8 is available in a 30/27. Not sure if the 1 oz. will make a big difference, but we figure every little bit helps with increasing his bat speed. Which is a more balanced (less end-loaded) bat for a faster swing with a smaller player? Tom
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) and the 2016 DeMarini CF8 BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXCFC) are both great options to consider for someone using BBCOR. Both bats will feature a balanced feel. With that said, I would suggest going with a 30/27 (assuming player is not use to the drop 3) to give the individual a better chance of success based on the player's height and weight.
Cameron
My son is 16 yrs old 6'3" 170 lbs. He was using a DeMarini 31"/28 ounce -3 but has outgrown it. Wondering what size bat you recommend? He pitches and is top of the order not necessarily a power hitter. Lisa
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would recommend using a 33" 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK.
John
What's the difference between the grip on the BB16MK and the BB15MK? Fred
The grip tape on the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) is thinner and feels more "tacky." The grip tape on the Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14MK) is going to be more raised.
Cameron
Is there a difference in barrel length between this Mako and last year's model? Also, how does the Mako stack up against the Prime 916? Hitter
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) will have the same dimensions as last years model and would perform very much to the same level. Both bats would compare to the 2016 Louisville Slugger Prime 916 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBP9163) very well.
Patrick
What is the difference between this bat and the XL version of this bat? I have also seen many reviews about the bat vibrating? jax
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK features a balanced swing weight and is typically better for contact hitters. The MAKO XL features a slightly end loaded swing weight and it is typically a better option for power hitters. The MAKO is a good bat at breaking up vibration. The two-piece design and CXN technology helps minimize sting and vibration.
Jason
I just turned 13, and I am going to play in the junior division for Little League. I am thinking about getting a composite BBCOR bat. I am 5 foot 7 and about 140 pounds. What length do you recommend? g
Based on your height and weight, as well as your age, we would recommend getting the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK in a 31 inch 28 ounce model.
Cameron
What's the difference between this MAKO and the 2014 MAKO? taco
This 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) has the same TCT Thermo Composite Technology as the 2014 model of this bat. The biggest differences between the bats will be the cosmetics and the new grip on the 2016 version of the MAKO.
Ben
I purchased the 33"/30 oz version of the regular MAKO and I'm thinking of returning it because I want the XL version. Would the XL version improve the distance and is it worth returning the regular MAKO? Thieves Baseball
If this 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) was purchased from JustBats originally and is in unused condition, it can always be sent back for a full refund or exchange. If you consider yourself a power hitter, then it might be advantageous to have a bat with an end-loaded swing weight like the MAKO XL to increase distance in your hits. However, if you have used balanced bats in the past and have seen the results you like, then a move to an end-loaded bat would not be a complete necessity.
Ben
Does the grip spin? patdaddy_3
The grip on the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will not spin. The handle only spins on the Easton MAKO TORQ.
John P.
I am 6', 180 lbs and a freshman. What size should I get? CTTEEL
For your height and weight we recommend a 33" 30 oz. bat.
Angelique
This bat (2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK) is very expensive, so I don't want to make a mistake. Is this bat legal to be used in Babe Ruth baseball. They have very strict bat requirements and I don't want to get this wrong. Arthur Parks
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK features a 2 5/8" barrel and the BBCOR certification stamp. These features make it legal for play in the 13-15 and 16-18 years old division of Babe Ruth. It would not be legal for any other level of play in Babe Ruth.
Jason
My son is 5'8'' and about 125 lbs. What size bat would you recommend? Brando
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK in a 31 inch 28 ounce model.
Cameron
Do you know if this bat is legal for a 7th and 8th grade school team? Walker
This 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) will have BBCOR .50 certification and should be legal for use in a middle school league. However, I would recommend checking to see if your players will be able to handle the -3 length-to-weight ratio that will be featured on this bat. Sometimes BBCOR bats can be a little heavy for players that aren't yet in high school.
Ben
My son is 5'3" and 155 pounds. What size would you recommend for him? H.W.
Based upon your son's height and weight, I would recommend using a 31" 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK.
John P.
My son is 14 years old, 5'11" and 147 lbs. He is a power hitter. Would you recommend the BB16MK or the BB16MKL? Ridge
Typically, power hitters will prefer an end-loaded bat like the 2016 Easton MAKO XL BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MKL. The reason for this is an end-loaded bat can potentially create more power. The way this is achieved is due to the smaller sweet spot that is more concentrated in weight. This will help create more whip/pendulum effect. When the ball is squared up properly there is greater chance of increased distance. The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is a balanced swing and will be a great bat for the contact type hitter. The reason for this is the barrel will be easier to control with the balanced swing weight; this is achieved by spreading the weight of the bat evenly throughout the entire barrel, giving a larger sweet spot but less concentrated in weight.
Cameron
Does this bat break often because I have heard it has? Austin
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is very highly reviewed in the durability category and is not known for breaking often.
John P.
How many hits does it take to break in this bat? Richard
Easton is claiming that the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK does not require a break-in period and will be good to go directly out of the box. Here at JustBats, we recommend about 50-100 swings off of a tee or by hand toss just for good measure.
John P.
I'm 6'1" 185 lbs and hit from the left side. I don't hit many home-runs but I have a lot of power to the opposite field. I previously swung the 2015 MAKO. Would it be a better idea for me to use the regular 2016 MAKO or the Xl? lefty21
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will feature a balanced swing weight design while the MAKO XL will have an end-loaded swing weight. Based on the fact that you are more of a doubles hitter it would be more beneficial to swing a balanced bat like the MAKO. End-loaded bats like the MAKO XL are going to benefit a power hitter more.
Cameron
I'll be 15 in a few months, I'm about 5'10" and 150 lbs. I consider myself a very diverse hitter because I hit for power, but I also consistently drive the ball to opposite field. I'm debating over whether I should get a MAKO or MAKO XL. Thoughts on sweet spot and pop comparison? Roll
When comparing this 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) and the MAKO XL BBCOR, you'll find that the MAKO XL will feature the longer barrel length and result in a slightly longer sweet spot (MAKO XL will also be end-loaded). In regard to "pop", this BB16MK model has a slight advantage in the JustBats customer reviews, but overall, I think the two bats will be pretty similar in regard to "pop". (My general recommendation for you would be for a 32"/29 oz model of each bat. Just be sure you can handle the 29 oz weight)
Ben
I am 13 and I weigh 100 pounds. I don't know whether to get the MAKO or the MAKO XL for school ball. I have a decent amount of power but I don't know which one to get. Jimmy Eli
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will feature a balanced swing weight while the 2016 Easton MAKO XL BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MKL will feature an end loaded swing weight. It will ultimately come down to what type of swing weight you prefer. If you consider yourself a power hitter then I would lean towards the MAKO XL and if you consider yourself a contact hitter then I would lean towards the MAKO.
John P.
I am a rising 10th grader and am trying to decide between this bat, the Mako XL, or Rawlings Trio. I am leaning towards this bat because of the past models success and the price of this year's, but I haven't heard a lot of things from this years model. Why is that? I consider myself a contact hitter with good bat speed and occasional power and hit fifth in the order. Which bat should I get? Skittles
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK, the Rawlings Trio and the MAKO XL are all good bats to consider. The MAKO XL will feature an end-loaded swing weight and will be better suited for a power hitter. For someone that is more of a contact hitter, we would recommend going with a balanced weighted bat like the MAKO or the Trio. As for why there may not be many reviews on the current MAKO model, this can typically be attributed to customers purchasing the 2015 model to take advantage of the cost savings. Now that the 2016 MAKO model has been reduced in price we would not be surprised to see more customers purchase this bat. It offers a two-piece composite design with a very balanced swing weight.
Cameron
I'm 5'4" and 120 pounds and I bat lead off for my school team. I have some power but have never hit a home run. I consider myself a contact hitter and I'm wondering if I should get the MAKO 2016 or the 2016 MAKO XL? langton59
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will feature a balanced swing weight while the MAKO XL will feature an end loaded swing weight. If you consider yourself to be a contact hitter then I would lean towards this MAKO.
John P.
Which bat is the 2015 MAKO TORQ more like in terms of balance: this or the MAKO XL? chasj99
The 2015 MAKO Torq has a balanced swing weight like the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK. The MAKO XL has more of an end loaded swing weight.
Jason

John P.
Would this bat be an ideal bat for a power hitter that is also great at being a contact hitter? I am 6' and 178 lbs in the 8th grade. big mike
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is a great option for a hitter of your style. It is really a great option for all hitters. Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 33" model.

Cameron
Which bat would be better for a contact hitter who wants the bat to have pop with a low swing weight: the MAKO or the COMBAT MAXUM? George
Both this 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) and the COMBAT MAXUM will be designed to come with a balanced swing weight that will be advantageous for a contact hitter. As well, both bats receive solid ratings from JustBats customers. However, this MAKO has a two-piece design while the MAXUM has a single-piece design. When making a decision between the two bats, you'll need to decide if you prefer the flex feel from the two-piece design on this MAKO or the stiff feel from the one-piece design on the MAXUM.
Ben
Does a composite bat hit the ball harder and farther than an aluminum barrel bat? big mike
No, a composite bat and an aluminum bat will be able to hit the ball equally hard and equally far. A composite bat like the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK, features a longer barrel and bigger sweet spot though.
Jason
What is the best bat on the market for power hitters? mike
There is not one bat that is better suited for a power hitter with regards to BBCOR bats. With that said, some power hitters will prefer the weight distribution of an end-loaded bat like the Easton MAKO XL.
Cameron
My son is 6'1" and weighs 175. What length bat should we purchase? How long does the bat take to break-in or is it game ready? Mike G
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 33" model in the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK. The MAKO is pretty hot out of the wrapper, but it will still benefit from a break-in of about 50 swings. It is best to take those swings off a tee and gradually work you swing speed up from 50%, while rotating the barrel every few swings.
Jason
Does this bat work like the TORQ? Bryce
This 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) does not feature a TORQ handle and, therefore, the bottom portion of the handle will not function like a bat that has a TORQ handle.
Ben
What is the difference between the Easton 2015 S1 BBCOR and this bat? Is this the same bat under a new name as they discontinued the SL and XL series? Mjones207
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK and the Easton S1 are both two-piece fully composite bats with balanced swing weights. The main difference between these two bats is the composite material. The MAKO uses Thermo Composite Technology while the S1 used IMX. Both composite barrels show good performance and durability but some customers may say that the IMX was a little hotter after use.
Cameron
If I am a contact hitter but want to hit more extra base hits should I use a MAKO or a Z-Core Speed? Kaden
Both the Easton MAKO and the 2017 Easton Z-CORE SPEED Limited Whiteout BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB17ZSW are good bats to consider. One is not necessarily more beneficial for power as this will be determined by the bat speed one is able to generate. The Z-CORE, being a one-piece design, will be stiffer and could potentially offer a little more pop.
Cameron
Does the MAKO have a bigger sweet spot or the Easton Z-CORE SPEED? kaden
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK and the 2017 Easton Z-CORE SPEED Limited Whiteout BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB17ZSW will have very similar sweet spots. With that said, one may see a slightly larger one with the MAKO.
Cameron
I purchased a 2016 Easton MAKO big barrel 33/30 drop -10. He is very tall and strong to be 8. He swings the bat pretty well. My question is is this bat ready to go right out the wrapper or does it need to be broke in to reach its full strength? Big B
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK should be ready to go right out of the wrapper. If you feel that it needs more pop, hit about 50 soft toss pitches and it will be good. But no it should pretty much be at full strength the day you open it.
Carter
Any info on a release date for the 2017 Easton BBCOR models? Coach frank
Although I do not have an exact confirmation of a date, I would think that most likely the 2017 Easton BBCOR models should be released in August or September of 2016. The reason I am making that assumption is because this 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) was released around the same time in 2015.
Ben
Will this bat break where the two pieces connect? I want to get this bat but that is a concern of mine due to videos of these bats breaking. Joe Shmoe
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is a very durable bat. Like any other two-piece bat, there is a chance this bat could separate at the connection point if the ball strikes near the connection point with enough velocity.
Cameron
What is the difference between the 2015 Mako and the 2016 Mako ? Jose
Besides the colorway, the only difference between the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK and the 2015 model would be the HYPERSKIN grip tape.
Cameron

The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK would be eligible for use for Senior Little League play.
Cameron

The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is a two-piece, fully composite bat with a balanced swing weight. This construction is typically preferred by contact hitters.
Angelique
Can you use this in Babe Ruth and middle school? Joe
I would check with your individual Middle School league official to see if this bat is legal for your specific league. As for Babe Ruth, the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will be legal for use for the 13 through 18 year old age groups.
Nick

The handle does not twist/rotate on the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK; only the TORQ models from Easton feature the twisting handle.
Cameron
I bought the 2016 MAKO bat for my 12 year old son a month ago. It's a great bat and he loves it. Never used in a batting cage, only on the field and he is in majors. Last night he hit one out in the All-Star game and the bat cracked. I don't have the receipt anymore which I usually never throw out but miss placed or threw it out. Is there something I can do seeing he's only had it for a month? Can I send this one back for a new one? Bighead
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK comes with a 12 Month Manufacturer's Warranty. This would cover the replacement of the bat through Easton if/when it became defective within 12 months of the date of purchase. If this bat was ordered from BatWarehouse, please give us a call at 866.380.2287 and we can help locate this receipt for you.

Carter
Which Easton BBCOR bat should I get when I am looking for the fastest swing speed possible with the most pop and a big sweet spot? jeff
If you were wanting a BBCOR baseball bat from Easton and were looking for a bat with a long barrel length (big sweet spot), a balanced swing weight and good performance reviews, I do not think that you need to look further than this 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK). As long as we have the size that you need and you enjoy bats with a two-piece, all-composite design; I think the MAKO could be for you!
Ben
Which 2016 Easton model compares to the 2014 XL1 BBCOR? chris
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is the most direct comparison to the Easton XL1 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB14X1 with them both being two piece composite bats, but the material is different in the two bats so they are not going to be exactly the same. The XL1 uses the IMX Composite Barrel while the current Mako uses TCT Thermo Composite.
Carter
When should you go with the TORQ handle vs the regular MAKO comp 3 handle? John
Whether to go with the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK versus the 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MKT is strictly one of personal preference. These bats are the same in nearly every aspect minus the bottom portion of the handle; the TORQ model will feature the TORQ 360 degree rotating handle technology to help stay inside the ball.
Cameron
Does this bat have some kind of warranty in case I don't like it? aaron
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK comes with a one year manufacturer's warranty. If the bat becomes defective within one year of the purchase date, you are entitled to one free replacement from Easton. Unfortunately there is no warranty for not liking a bat, and once a bat has made contact with a baseball it is ineligible to be returned.
Angelique
I am thirteen and this fall I have to use BBCOR. I usually like even weighted bats. Is this the bat for me, or is there something better? I am 5'6" and 158 lbs. roman
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK is a very balanced bat and it would be a great option for what you are looking for. Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 32" model.
Jason
I'm having trouble picking between the Easton 2016 MAKO or the Easton Z-Core Whiteout. How do I make a decision on a bat? roman
This 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) will come with a two-piece, all-composite design while the Z-CORE Whiteout is a one-piece, all-alloy bat. Both bats will have pretty balanced swing weights, but at contact, this MAKO will feature a significant amount of barrel flex while the Z-CORE will be pretty stiff in the barrel at contact. Your decision should come down to the build you prefer the most and the feel you like at contact.
Ben
I need to find this bat with the COMBAT MAXUM and I can't seem to find them in a bat pack! trav
Unfortunately at this moment in time there is not a bat pack with the two bats that you were looking for. The closest thing we have to that at this moment in time is the Bat Pack with the 2016 COMBAT MAXUM and 2016 Easton MAKO TORQ BBCOR Baseball Bats. If you were at all interested in this here is a link to that - http://www.justbats.com/product/bat-pack-2016-combat-maxum-and-2016-easton-mako-torq-bbcor-baseball-bats--maxab103-and-bb16mkt/24990/

I've had this bat since it came out. I've hit so many balls with it and it still seems like it's broke in. What could I do to possibly break it in more? baseballIQ
If you have been using it for a long time there really isn't anything you can do to break it in more. If you believe the bat is defective which is possible I would contact Easton's warranty department at (888) 259-1297.
Damon

The 2016 Easton MAKO XL BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MKL will be most similar to the Easton XL1. It will have the same end loaded feel.
Tori
I have a 15 year old son who unfortunately has not started to grow and is lacking strength. He has played with a BBCOR bat the past two years for his high school cub team. Is there a well balanced bat out there that could he could possibly swing a little easier until that growth spurt comes? He currently swings a Rawlings 5150 30/27. Darren
I would recommend checking out a 30"/27 ounce 2016 Easton Z-CORE HMX BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16ZA).
Carter
How would you compare this bat to a Louisville Slugger Prime 915? lake
This 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) will be very similar to the Prime 915 from Louisville Slugger. Both bats have mostly balanced swing weights and both bats feature a two-piece, all-composite design.
Ben
How many break in pitches does this bat need and does it ever run out of pop? Ben
We recommend about 150 to 200 swings off of a tee to break in the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK and most other composite bats. Also, be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch after each swing to break in all sides of the bat. As for the pop of the MAKO it will run out of pop over time just from normal use but there is not set time period that a bat will last.

There is nothing defective with this 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK). Most of our options for this bat are new, but at this moment in time we are selling one used option. You can see this under the used section (directly below the new section). But the used condition bat we are selling currently is listed as excellent condition and is not defective in anyway.

Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 34" 31 oz bat. The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK has a balanced swing weight and it is typically better for a contact hitter. The MAKO XL has an end loaded swing weight and it is typically better for a power hitter.

Ben

The main difference between the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) and the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB17MK) is going to be the 2017 version features the Extended Speed Barrel which is 1.5 Inches Longer than the 2016 version. What is the difference between the Mako 2016 and the Mako XL 2016? cfogal27
The difference between the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK and MAKO XL model will be the weight distribution. The MAKO XL will have an end-loaded swing weight design while the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK will have a balanced design. When comparing the bats further, the Marucci Cat 7 will weigh close to the listed weight while the MAKO, on average, will run about 1.5 ounces heavier.
Cameron
I'm about 5'5 1/2" 145 lbs. Would you recommend the 31" or the 32"? I've used a 32" for awhile and have trouble getting my hands around at times, would this be because the bat is too heavy? Caleb
If you are having issues getting the barrel head through the zone then the bat would certainly be too heavy and it would be more practical to swing a 31" bat (typically these 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK weigh about 1.5 ounces heavier than listed weight).
Cameron
I am a freshman that might play JV and Varsity. I'm 5'6" and 150 lbs. I swung a MAKO XL (-5) most recently. Should I get an XL or just a MAKO (I lead the team in homeruns, triples and doubles with a batting average of .418)? owen
If you liked the end-load on the MAKO XL (-5) that was used in the past and you feel that you can handle the end-loaded 29 oz weight of the 32" MAKO XL BBCOR (BB16MKL), then I think going with the XL BBCOR model would be just fine for you in that size.
Ben
My 13 year old son is 6'3", 190 lbs. Currently using a 32" drop 3. Seeing your recommendations to others similar to him in size (but older), would you recommend he move up to a 33"? L

Logan
I am choosing between two bats that are 31/28. Would you recommend the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR or the 2015 Easton S2Z BBCOR? I prefer a more balanced bat. Colin
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK and the Easton S2Z ZCORE BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB15S2Z are both great bats. They both feature a balanced swing weight. The biggest difference between the two is that the Easton MAKO features a full composite design and the S2Z is going to feature a composite handle with an alloy barrel.
Sean
How does this bat compare to the Combat Maxum BBCOR? jon
The 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB16MK) is going to feature a two piece fully composite design while the ComBat Maxum BBCOR features a one piece composite design. The Mako is going to have a lot more flex than the Maxum, which limits the vibrations. Both of them are very high end options.

Carter
Is there a break in period? Is this bat damaged with the yellow dimple balls at batting cages? doyer
Due to the composite material of the 2016 Easton MAKO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB16MK, we suggest 150-200 swings off a tee or soft toss while rotating the barrel 1/4 turn between swings to break in the bat. The rubber dimple balls often used in batting cages tend to damage any bat since they are more dense than regular baseballs.
Logan
