Pros: just as good as every prodigy i've ever had except the paint job is by far the best. this bat is HOT!!!
Cons: none, love it!
Pros: Sweet gun metal paint job with the huge lettering. Got ours today and love the loud PING!! Took about 60 cuts and works and feels just as good as the rest of them.
Cons: None
Pros: has the most pop i have seen in any bat that my son has used yet!!! He is only seven and has been playing with 9/10 year olds and with this bat, he has as much power as the 10 year olds do... AWESOME BAT... GET IT NOW!!
Cons: None so far!
Pros: This bat is truely Awesome. Excellent pop and the best looking bat on the market. My son absolutely loves it....
Cons: None...
Pros: same old great pop and new look is great. my son has been swinging the prodigy since he was 7, he is now 10 and loves it
Cons: still dents easilly
Pros: Theres no vibration so no sting at all.
Cons: The grip rips to fast.
Pros: Baddest looking bat I have seen... It helps that it performs well also.
Cons: Price went up a bit.
Pros: No complaints! My 6 yr old can knock the heck out of the ball with this bat. To top it off, the bat has a sweet sound and look!
Cons:
Pros: This bat is for a high performing player, too heavy for the little kids. My son is 7, playing in coach pitch, weighs about 45 pounds. He plays all stars, he's just now able to swing the 27-17, and he is more confident, and with a good swing, the ball certainly gets better distance. His old bat was the Louisville Slugger Omaha 26-16 big barrel. This bat is far better.
Cons: The handle is a little too thick. Small hands would have trouble gripping this.
Pros: great sound off the bat. 9YO son moved up to it from 28/16 CP bat--not much drop off. He loves the look and graphics. Should be the next "hot bat".
Cons: Maybe not quite as much pop as a composite bat, but legal in all leagues.
Pros: Has alot of pop. nice looking. Really sweet.
Cons:
Pros: This bat has alot of pop. For the price you cant go wrong with it. Bought this for an 8U team and they love it.
Cons: None so far
Pros: Nephew hit grand slam first swing of the bat. Ive been buying the series since they came out great bat
Cons: None
Pros: I bought this bat for my 10 year old son and it quickly became the most popular bat on his team. I have watched it smack MANY balls DEEP into the outfield in just the first 3 games. Can't wait to see the first homerun ball, I know it will happen since we are still in preseason! Plus, the boys think it looks "cool, like a stealth fighter jet".... ah, what kids value!
Cons: none
Pros: I bought 2 2012 Worth Lithium Edge Prodigy bats 2 weeks ago for my Grandsons. They have been using the Prodigy Bat since 2007. I will be ordering another Prodigy Bat for my other grandson this month for his Birthday. This is the only bat they will use.I love that you get it real quickly.
Cons: None
Pros: Great pop!!! My 6 year old son hit his first "Over THE FENCE) home run a few weeks ago in the Super NIT. Great Balance, much better than the Easton Rival.
Cons: Dents easily...
Pros: Love the sound it makes, buy high $ baseballs and they really fly! 8U travel teams uses 29/19 and its wonderful plus we don't have to worry about composites and the USSSA logo is wonderful.
Cons: Price dropped after buying. Every bat I buy every year this happens.
Pros: This bat is great my son loves it.Best bat for the money.
Cons: none
Pros: Great balance, my son seems to have quicker hands with this bat than Anderson bat both are -10
Cons: Our 2011 only lasted one season, cracked by the end cap. I hope this one last longer.
Pros: BOUGHT THIS BAT FOR MY BOY ON A 9U SELECT TEAM AND ALL I CAN SAY IS HE WILL NOT EVEN PICK UP HIS EASTON RIVAL ANY MORE HE LOVES THIS BAT
Cons: EVERYONE ON THE TEAM WANTS TO USE IT .
Pros: Light, strong and the ball pops. Looks cool too. 10 year old is lining the ball further with this gem.
Cons: None.
Pros: Hot,great pop and soound,
Cons: my son has had 6 of them so far in 3 years . They dent very easily but the pros out way this con .
Pros: The ball explodes off of this bat. All of the kids on my team wants to use the bat. We have several kids in the league that their parents bought them this bat after seeing the results. Awesome bat for a good price.
Cons: My son has been using the bat for about 2 months now with no problems as of today.
Pros: I am the dad of an 11u travel player. What makes this bat great is the balance. It feels lighter than other 30/20 bats(Rival, Combat big barrel) because of the balance. Similar to the original Combat B1 in balance but it is a big barrel. Great pop as well.
Cons: Slight dent after a couple of weeks.
Pros: My son loves this bat. First game hit a triple, double and single. Everyone wants to use it! Loves the sound it makes..
Cons:
Pros: Nice looking bat. It has good pop.
Cons: My son is 10 and he used it one game and bat already dented up. hopefully he can use it a few more weekends if bat holds up. Very thin & weak alloy. Should be priced cheaper because I could see my son going through 3 bats a season.
Pros: Great Bat amazing pop!!!...love the PING!!!
Cons: This bat dents way to easily...completely flatend one side of the barrel
Pros: I ordered the 28/18 for my 9 year old and boy does he love this bat. It has amazing pop and the sound is pretty cool. My son has more confidence at the plate now. Worth did a great job with this bat.
Cons: That I did not buy this bat for my son sooner!!!
Pros: The Worth Lithium is a great bat. The day that we recieved the bat me and my 2 sons went and took some batting practice and i just couldn't believe how fast the ball jumped off the bat. Great bat and it also feels lighter that 28 ounces.
Cons: The handle is little to thick.
Pros: hits well with great sweet spot
Cons: My 10 year old son loved this bat and hit well with it for exactly 5 days before he hit a pitch during a batting lesson in the middle of the sweet spot and a 2" dent caved in his brand new bat. Haven't contacted customer service for exchange/refund yet but I will keep you posted. He has had his other Worth bat for 9 months with no problem
Pros: Bat has performed as expected. Great pop, very well balanced and no sting. My 9 yr. old son loves it and everyone is asking him to use it.
Cons: none
Pros: Really hot bat. Best pop on the market by far. My 10u son has gone yard in his last two tourneys.
Cons: Probably won't last long.
Pros: solid pop
Cons: 29 inch, dented on both sides in less than 2 games, not used in bp at all, pathetic, after a few more games it will look like a car after hail damage
Pros: Best Prodigy Worth has put out since the old blue/gold 2008 (I believe). It's going to dent, but that's part of it. Composites don't dent like the alloy. We will take Alloy ALL day long - HATE composites, glad we won't be able to use them next year. My son has had his a few months and it is dented a little (11yr old travel ball) but that is to be expected. Keep up the good work!
Cons: None!
Pros: Great bat, bought the 27/17 for my 6 year old playing on a 7 year old tourney team hitting the ball over the heads of the outfielders heads..great action when you keep it in the sweet spot.
Cons: none.
Pros: My son has had the Omaha TPX and Demarini Vendetta. He has also used some of the Easton V12 bats his teammates use. I have to say this bat outperforms them all (especially the Omaha which I do not recommend). I read these reviews for weeks and bought several bats for my son so take it from me......stop reading these reviews and buy your kid a Worth Lithium Prodigy then sit back and watch the fireworks!!
Cons: None
Pros: So far so good. Great bat with TONS of pop in it. Balanced well for good bat speed. My 9U competive son loves this bat compared with to his Easton Speed and his buddies TPX Triton. Hopefully the bat holds up and does not crack. Great price for a hot bat.
Cons: Scatches really easy but to be expected like any other bat.
Pros: Great pop. Saw an increased in my son's power after the first use.
Cons: Not very durable and won't last a season without getting a flat spot.
Pros: Great pop! Has USSSA stamp on the bat!
Cons: none so far
Pros: i bought this bat for my 8 year old that plays on a 8u select team. He hit 3 homeruns already, and its just our second tournament with the bat,our team loves it. The bat has alot of pop. Very durable. Best bat on the market.Plus it has the USSSA stamp.
Cons: none so far!!
Pros: its simple first game my son went 2 for 2 double and single he is a 12 yr old got him the 30/20 it feels like an 18 oz bat. great weight balance got jammed on the double still went 220 to the fence. single over the SS head not bad.the sound when making contact gets everyones attn.his confidence with this bat is thru the roof.if your a baseball guy you know that helps tremendously.whatever it takes
Cons: wish they made a little bat for my 6 year old with a2 1/4 barrel
Pros: This is a hot bat. Lots of pop. Hits'em farther and faster than any bat I've seen.
Cons: Dents easy for power hitters.
Pros: Just received this bat last week our 7U All-Star team absolutley mashed the ball with this bat! This bat has great balance and tons of pop!
Cons: Paint job is too cool!
Pros: My son is a 10U player and loves the new bat. It has a great pop and is well balanced.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: This bat has great pop and is well balanced. The grip does reduce sting, even with an ill placed hit. The ball jumps off the bat. It's great looking and I think it gives my son the confidence to really put it all out there. It is definitely worth the money. This all coming from a mother of 3 boys. Bought this for my 9 year old and he's a competitive travel player year round, so we've seen our share of bats, good and bad. You won't be dissapointed with this one.
Cons: While the bat has great pop, you need to rotate after every hit to keep from developing a flat spot or dent. I wouldn't let an entire team use is for that purpose. This is a 1 player bat. If not you'll be replacing it half way through the season.
Pros: Another strong Worth product. 6 year old son, playing 8U hit one about 170 ft in air first practice. Pop
Cons: Bat will dent, but I will take that for the pop.
Pros: My 10 year old son likes his new bat very much. The ball fly, sound and looks are all great.
Cons:
Pros: The bat is weighted well and has a lot of "POP" in it... I purchased the 29/19 for my 9 year old. He rips the ball with it! Unfortunately, there is a big CON to this bat!
Cons: The bat went completely flat on one side in 6 weeks of use. Worth replaced it within 10 days. I would recommend only using this bat in games. We have an old Prodigy (Blue and White) 29/19 that we will use in the cage from now on....It's a great bat, but will not hold up to a lot of use.
Pros: Great bat my son is killing the ball with this bat. Great sound.
Cons: NON
Pros: Attractive bat, great for power hitters, balls fly right off the bat
Cons: Paint comes off easily, develops flat spots with heavy use during batting practice and games. Spend your dollars on another bat
Pros: Hottest yet. We've used the Rival, Omaha and 5150 this year so far for fall ball and the Lithium definately has more pop. Heavy use by 8u machine pitch team and no dents so far after 3 tournaments.
Cons: Flat black finish gets ugly quick . . . kinda cool looking though.
Pros: Balanced, good pop . . .seemingly better than the Rival or 5150. Seeing 15-30 feet more on well hit balls from all the boys vs. those two.
Cons: Grip a bit thick for younger hands.
Pros: great balance and great pop best big barrel in the market
Cons: dents easy
Pros: Bat is Hot out of the wrapper. Great Performance..
Cons: Scratches and chips easily, That doesn't affect performance though
Pros: Large Sweet spot, especially for young hitters transitioning from 2 1/4 inch barrel bats. Best bat for the money.
Cons: None
Pros: Mentally helped both my sons at Bat, giving them more confidence. The pop on it good, both kids like the grip much better than easton.
Cons: Supposed to be balanced, yet both my sons and several team members are having a hard time adjusting to swinging it. Old bat (easton stealth) same length and weight. Anyone else notice this?
Pros: Lots of pop. Love the black with red lettering. No signs of denting after 2 months of use.
Cons: I don't really like the ping sound it makes on contact, but the kids do.
Pros: So far so good, I just bought this bat two weeks ago, my son only have used it in two or three practices and one game, he says he feels the pop of the bat. I hope that stands the task of the next full season.
Cons:
Pros: Son loves this bat, he hits farther with the Lithium than he hits with his Omen. He has been swinging a Lithium for three years now and will for another three with the pop this bat has.
Cons: dents a little easy but still an AWESOME bat!
Pros: This bat has been heavily used the last 4 months and no flat spots yet. Great pop worth the $$$.
Cons: Looks old after a month but the hits keep coming.
Pros: No other bat has the pop this bat does!
Cons: Could dent, good warrenty by Worth they will replace. You have to decide if you want performance or durability. I don't expect to get more then a season out of a bat but we play about 70 games.
Pros: decent pop
Cons: This bat dents so easily. After 1 month it got kicked out of my tournament. It is a bad bat. DO NOT GET WASTE OF MONEY
Pros: This bat is amazing.I'm 12 and i hit very well with it.There have been no problems with any dents or cracks whatsoever,I have had this bat for a whole season.
Cons: None. The dark finish does get scuffed off,but the bat still looks amazing.
Pros: Good balance and surprising pop for a 1.15. Compares well to the "pre BBCOR" Worth Prodigy bat.
Cons: Paint doesnt look like it is going to hold up (just like other prodigy bats we've had) but we aren't worried about the bat being pretty as long as it hits well.
Pros: Great pop, great sound. Light swing weight for my 10 year old.
Cons: Unfortunately, like other reviewers, it's true, this bat does dent easily. Don't use it for BP, you can probably get one full season out of it.
Pros: Okay for first year live arm but the owner of one of these bats should be a weaker contact hitter.
Cons: got it and just thought it had good pop but dents abought every other swing.plus it terribaly wheighted .Plus the hanndle is so big it slows down your swing/gives you less control.much rather go with any tpx or composite easton bat.
Pros: Bat is very light and has tremendous pop, but like all previous Worth Prodigy models from past years the bat still dents very quickly. My son is a taller that average 10 yr old and a power hitter. The bat dented right on the sweet spot during the first game after he smashed one deep. If your son swings with some power I would not recommend this bat, unless you intend on replacing it over and over. A few kids on his select time have the Easton S3 and have had the same problems with denting. My son has used his Worth Prodigy bat in about 4 tournaments now and it is completely dented and flat on 3 sides. Do not waste your money. Best bat so far that seems to hold up well with power hitters and has great pop is the light blue Combat. Think we will be making the switch.
Cons: Dents very easily on sweet spot. Does not hold up for power hitters.
Pros: its a great 1 player bat
Cons: none at all
Pros: Great bat for my 9 y/o son. It has great pop. We have used it in several practices with over half of the team using it. Very hard hit balls and no denting.
Cons:
Pros: One word... Pop! This bad is used by 4 or 5 kids on my son's team, they all crush the ball. My son put down his trusty 5150 to pick this up and loves it. 12/15 in first Sunday with it, and the three outs were line drives to the outfield.
Cons: The paint job is really cool looking, but it very quickly loses its finish. Have not seen any issues with the denting that others mention yet.
Pros: Still a hot bat after almost a year. We have the Worth Prodigy Legit and it is as good. The knob is smaller on the Legit and my son does not like that. The Lithium still sounds more explosive. The sound definitely gets peoples attention.
Cons: Does not wear well. Looked three years old after a month, but really no big deal.
Pros: Hit my 1st ever homer with this bat cleared fence by 40+ feet
Cons: 0
Pros: Hits great got it at the biggining of the year andim hitting around .500
Cons: Dents easy already have 5 or 6 ( over 6 tournaments)
Pros: very nice bat for a worth, the lithium prodigy will help power hitters and contact hitters too, also it is the most balanced bat ever
Cons: it dent easily, but since it dents easy it means it's got pop
Pros: Bought this bat For my 8year old son last week. Wow!! My son has never hit a home run. He hit 3 this weekend and sveral great hits. The bat has some serious pop. I highly recommend.
Cons: Like several have said it scuffs very easily and looks a year old after a week. This has no negative effect on the bats performance. As a matter of fact its how a battle bat should look!!
Pros: Great bat nothing like it
Cons: none
Pros: This bat is awesome I started this year with a 5150 which I also loved. Then I switched back over to my prodigy today and I went 3 for 3 with 2 rocket singles and a home run! LOVE THIS BAT.
Cons: Dents pretty easily but takes nothing off the bat .
Pros: well my son had a v-grip 28-18 mattingly but didn't have the stamp for allstars so had to purchase a new one,we bought the red prodigy 27-17 bat has good pop but my son couldn't adjust to weight and grip difference, went back and bought 28-18 gloss black SL version.Destroying the ball again!!!!!
Cons: N/A
Pros: Son loves it good buy
Cons: Hard to get out of the way when hits off his dad
Pros: -long hits -same sting as composite -MASSIVE sweet spot -great grip -BEST WEIGHTED BAT I HAVE EVER SWUNG -BEST WEIGHTED EVER!
Cons: if you hit it off the end its HORRIBLE sting and your hands DIE!
Pros: Took a couple of our kids on the team out to hit yesterday..We just got this bat and the Miken RZR..They started off with the Miken and it just didn't have much pop..Next time up they used the Worth and the ball was flying off the bat..I was very surprised and impressed..Highly recommended bat if you want to spend around $100..
Cons: None so far

About the Brand
Worth, Inc. can trace its beginning back to the year 1912, when George Sharp Lannom, Jr. purchased a tannery in Tullahoma, Tennessee and established the Lannom Manufacturing Company. Initially, the firm tanned leather for harnesses and horse collars they manufactured. However, as the automobile grew in popularity, the demand for the company's harnesses and collars declined, so Lannom shifted its manufacturing resources toward production of leather covered baseballs and softballs under the "Worth" brand, and men's leather dress gloves under the "Craig" brand.
Charles (Chuck) E. Parish joined Lannom in 1930 as a salesman and married G.S. Lannom, Jr.'s daughter, Martha Lannom several years later. Following Mr. Lannom's death, Parish acquired controlling interest in the company, which led to a division of company assets between himself and Lannom's son G.S. Lannom III. Lannom maintained the glove works while Parish, "The Baron of Baseballs," built the Lannom baseball business into the world's largest manufacturer of baseballs.
Upon graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1959, Chuck Parish's son, John, joined the Lannom organization. He persuaded his father to expand the company's Caribbean operations and enter the baseball bat business in 1970. In 1975, following the death of his father, John Parish took over the reigns of the company. Under his leadership, the company diversified and expanded its production line and developed the personnel, technical know-how, and physical facilities to become one of the largest and most financially sound manufacturers in the entire sporting goods industry.
The WorthSports Company was formally organized in 1975 as the sales and marketing arm for all sporting goods products and divisions of Lannom. In addition to the normal marketing functions, Worth also emphasizes and provides new product research and development. In fact, the emphasis placed on this development is largely responsible for Worth's leadership role in the sporting goods industry.
When Worth entered the bat business all bats were made from Northern White Ash. Worth then established wood mills in Pennsylvania and New York to provide the strong but relatively lightweight ash wood stock. Then directions were shifted to aluminum and other composites and in 1968 Lannom Manufacturing produced its first aluminum bat. The company's Jess Heald was primarily responsible for its development. The sale of aluminum bats to amateur baseball and softball players mushroomed in the 70's, helping Lannom achieve record results. In 1994, because of market demands, more emphasis was placed on the aluminum division and an expansion was completed in Tullahoma.
One of the first and most significant results of the R&D program was the development of the Polyurethane (Poly-X™) core for baseballs and softballs. This one innovation revolutionized the entire softball world; up to this time, the traditional softball core was constructed of cork and latex. Worth, through the use of "petrochemical" formulation, created a softball that was more consistent in performance and demonstrated extended durability, thereby setting the stage for the establishment of formal specifications and standards for the industry. More recently, the expanded research and development team has made another revolutionary addition to the aluminum bats called the SuperCell EST (Exterior Shell Technology) Bat.
One product Worth is very proud of is its RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseballs and softballs. Introduced in baseballs in the late '80's, the RIF design features a polyurethane center that makes the ball softer than the traditional yarn wound ball, while keeping the weight, size and liveliness. The balls are used mainly in youth leagues, where safety is of major concern. The technology is now being used in Worth softballs as well. New technology is constantly being developed to revolutionize the softball industry as we know it today.
In 2007, Worth was acquired by Jarden Corporation and is now a division of Rawlings and Jarden Team Sports.
